Let Us Remember, Bayard Rustin

This man is one of the staples of the civil rights movement. His story of self-discovery, loyalty and humanitarianism should be told to generations to come. His determination is truly legendary to our movement and I hope many activists remember the path he laid for all of us.

His birthday was this past week, but his legacy will live on in our struggle for civil rights. Please take a moment to learn about this extraordinary man.

As the Vice President of the LGBT organization partly named after him (Jordan Rustin Coalition), I hope I can echo as much of his passion and leadership.

Thank you, Bayard
