Simon & Schuster gives Milo Yabba Dabba Doo a $250K book deal

This is trash!

Bigot and hater Milo Yiannopoulos has received a $250,000 book deal with Threshold Editions, a piece of the Simon & Schuster brand.

THR reports:
"They said banning me from Twitter would finish me off. Just as I predicted, the opposite has happened," Yiannopoulos told THR, confirming the upcoming book without commenting on financial details. "Did it hurt Madonna being banned from MTV in the 1990s? Did all that negative press hurt Donald Trump's chances of winning the election?"

Yiannopoulos, a hero of the so-called "alt-right" (he says he doesn't consider his political positions as alt-right) was famously banned from Twitter after engaging in an online spat with Leslie Jones. Some of his followers were accused of bullying the Ghostbusters actress with racist and sexist tweets.

Threshold and Simon & Schuster were not available for comment, but people with knowledge of the situation say Yiannopoulos is getting an advance of $250,000 for his book. The autobiographical book is his first, though Yiannopoulos, a flamoboyant and gay conservative, has a wide following for his writing, especially at Breitbart News, where he is an editor.

"I met with top execs at Simon & Schuster earlier in the year and spent half an hour trying to shock them with lewd jokes and outrageous opinions. I thought they were going to have me escorted from the building — but instead they offered me a wheelbarrow full of money," Yiannopoulos told THR.
Really? Who cares about his story? He's a fucking bigot and bully who needs his ass beat.

This Christmas Message from the RNC

From the RNC
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chair Sharon Day released the following statement celebrating Christmas:

“Merry Christmas to all! Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King. We hope Americans celebrating Christmas today will enjoy a day of festivities and a renewed closeness with family and friends.

“Even as we celebrate, we must also remember those among us who are less fortunate. Many on this day are without hope, and need the kindness and compassion of those around them. It is our prayer we will rise to meet the material, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals all around us, and what better day is there to love our fellow man than today?

“As we open presents, enjoy Christmas dinner, and celebrate our own family traditions, we are mindful of our men and women in uniform. Many are stationed around the world today protecting our freedoms, and cannot be with their own spouses, children, parents, and siblings. We express the deepest gratitude for service that takes them away from celebrating with loved ones, and we ought to remember them in our thoughts and prayers not just on Christmas Day, but the whole year round.”

Pop Icon George Michael has Died

This hurts, y'all.

George Michael has died.

He died peacefully at his home of heart failure. He was my first real crush when I was young. His good looks were so charming and beautiful to me.

I think I admitted to my mom that he was a good looking man when I was 10.

George had his ups and downs, but he always bounced back. I hope he finds peace now.

Gay Couple confront Ivanka trump on a Plane

Ivanka learned how the public feels about her family.

A Gay couple confronted her on a JetBlue plane.

TMZ reports

Ivanka was on a JetBlue flight leaving JFK Thursday morning with her family when a passenger started screaming, "Your father is ruining the country." The guy went on, "Why is she on our flight? She should be flying private." The guy had his kid in his arms as he went on the tirade.

A passenger on the flight tells TMZ Ivanka ignored the guy and tried distracting her kids with crayons.
JetBlue personnel escorted the unruly passenger off the flight. As he was removed he screamed, "You're kicking me off for expressing my opinion?!!"

Later, JetBlue released this statement:
"The decision to remove a customer from a flight is not taken lightly. If the crew determines that a customer is causing conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight. Our team worked to re-accommodate the party on the next available flight."

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson's Epic Response to trump Supporters

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson wrote a great piece about trump recently, and of course, trump freaks tried to come for him. But Eugene was ready!

He clapped back:

The people chose Hillary Clinton. But it’s the electoral vote that counts, not the popular vote, so Donald Trump will be president. And no, I’m not over it.

No one should be over it. No one should pretend that Trump will be a normal president. No one should forget the bigotry and racism of his campaign, the naked appeals to white grievance, the stigmatizing of Mexicans and Muslims. No one should forget the jaw-dropping ignorance he showed about government policy both foreign and domestic. No one should forget the vile misogyny. No one should forget the mendacity, the vulgarity, the ugliness, the insanity. None of this should ever be normalized in our politics.

The big protests that have followed Trump’s election should be no surprise. You can’t spend all those months trashing our nation’s values and then expect everyone to join you in a group hug. Trump made the bed in which he now must lie.

If a normal Republican had been elected, I could say the polite and socially acceptable thing, something like “I didn’t support So-and-So, but he will be my president, too, and I wish him success.” But I cannot wish Trump success in rounding up and deporting millions of people or banning Muslims from entering the country or reinstituting torture as an instrument of U.S. policy. In these and other divisive, cruel, unwise initiatives, I wish him failure.

I do hope he succeeds in avoiding some kind of amateurish foreign policy blunder that puts American lives or vital national interests at risk. And let me be clear that I am not questioning his legitimacy as president. When the results are certified and the electoral college casts its votes, Trump will be the nation’s duly chosen leader, ridiculous though that may be.

But he has not earned our trust or hope. Rather, he has earned the demonstrations that have erupted in cities across the country. He has earned relentless scrutiny by journalists, whom he shamelessly made into scapegoats during the campaign, and he has earned the constant vigilance of the public he now must serve.

We must watch Trump, and judge him, every single inch of the way.

Michael Johnson "Tiger Mandingo" may get a New Trial

This is kind of good news.

Michael Johnson "Tiger Mandingo" could get a new trial due to foolishness from prosecutors withholding evidence from Johnson’s attorneys “to gain a strategic advantage.” Michael Johnson was sentenced to 30 years for infecting a sexual partner with HIV. Even though, the guy was barebacking like crazy, but I won't get into that right now.

Buzzfeed reports
Excoriating prosecutors for deliberately withholding evidence, a court of appeals has ordered a new trial for Michael Johnson, better known as Tiger Mandingo, who was convicted last year for “recklessly” infecting a person with HIV and exposing or attempting to expose four others.

The Missouri Court of Appeals found that prosecutors withheld until the last minute recordings of phone conversations Johnson had made from prison — and that they did so deliberately “to gain a strategic advantage” over Johnson’s defense attorneys. The court quoted an unnamed prosecutor stating, “If we disclose [the recordings] to the defense, they’ll tell their client. And I’m not impugning anyone’s integrity, I’d do the same thing: Hey, they’re listening to your conversations, shut up. So we don’t disclose them until toward the end.”

Withholding evidence is a serious breach of prosecutorial ethics. The court found that prosecutors had waited to disclose the recordings until, effectively, the morning the trial began, depriving Johnson’s attorneys of time to plan an adequate defense. A spokesperson for the prosecution did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Laws that penalize HIV-positive people for having sex without disclosing they have the virus are controversial, and the penalties can be severe. Johnson was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Outgoing NC Governor says HB2 Will Be Repealed

Interesting news from North Carolina... Well, more interesting news.

Governor Pat McCrory is calling a special session of the General Assembly to repeal HB2 (the bathroom bill).

From a press release:
“Governor McCrory has always publicly advocated a repeal of the overreaching Charlotte ordinance. But those efforts were always blocked by Jennifer Roberts, Roy Cooper and other Democratic activists,” said Graham Wilson, Press Secretary. “This sudden reversal with little notice after the gubernatorial election sadly proves this entire issue originated by the political left was all about politics and winning the governor’s race at the expense of Charlotte and our entire state. As promised, Governor McCrory will call a special session.”
Incoming Governor Roy Cooper released a statement on Facebook

Dylann Roof Guilty of Charleston Church Massacre

NBC reports

Self-declared white supremacist Dylann Roof was found guilty Thursday of killing nine black worshipers in a South Carolina church.

Now the 12-person jury will decide whether Roof spends the rest of his life in prison — or dies for last year's massacre at the historic Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.

The jury will break for Christmas and return after the holidays on Jan. 3 to begin debating the 22-year-old convicted mass killer's fate.

Twenty-four of the 33 charges against Roof fall under federal hate crimes statutes. And 18 of those carry the death penalty.

The jury rendered its verdict after prosecutors and the defense made their final arguments.

Why is Kayne West in trump Tower?

NOM's President Brian Brown Starts a Global Hate Group

NOM's President Brian Brown is starting a global hate group. It's called the International Organization for the Family (IOF) and it sounds messy af.

Here's more

IOF says it “unites and equips leaders worldwide to promote the natural family.” Its first public project is a new global anti-LGBT manifesto dubbed the “Cape Town Declaration,” which the right-wing site Breitbart described as “throwing down the gauntlet to the LGBT lobby.” IOF is hoping to gather two million signatures in the coming year. Manifesto signers pledge “to resist the rising cultural imperialism of Western powers whose governments seek nothing less than the ideological colonization of the family.” It is certainly no coincidence that the manifesto includes “ideological colonization,” a phrase repeatedly employed by Pope Francis.

The declaration and its concluding vow – “Bowing to no earthly power, using every just measure, we shall not falter or flag until the truth about marriage is embraced in our laws and honored in our lands” – feels a lot like a global version of the 2009 Manhattan Declaration, in which conservative evangelicals and Catholics pledged civil disobedience and vowed never to “bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family.”

That’s probably no coincidence either. Among the early signers of the Cape Town Declaration are conservative Catholic scholar Robert George, one of the Manhattan Declaration’s authors, and a George protégé, anti-equality activist Ryan Anderson of the Heritage Foundation.

Other signers from the U.S. include right-wing operative Richard Viguerie; NOM Chairman John Eastman; Larry Jacobs of the World Congress of Families; anti-marriage-equality strategist Frank Schubert; C-Fam’s Austin Ruse, who is fomenting anti-LGBT backlash at the United Nations; Howard Center founder Allan Carlson; Janice Shaw Crouse, who led the 2015 World Congress of Families summit in Salt Lake City; and Movieguide’s Ted Baehr. Also among the initial signers are anti-equality activists from around the world; many of them, like Nigeria’s Theresa Okafor, have participated in World Congress of Families summits.

Also listed as signers are a number of religious leaders, including Foley Beach, Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America; Catholic Bishop Emmanuel Badejo of Ojo, Nigeria; Lawrence Khongy, pastor of Faith Community Baptist Church in Singapore; and Josiah Trenham, an Orthodox priest who has spoken repeatedly at World Congress of Families gatherings.

Nate Silver believes Clinton could've won if the FBI letter didn't come out

Nate Silver believes that Comey's letter hurt Clinton's chances to be President.

He tweeted

Here's more

"I'll put it like this: Clinton would almost certainly be President-elect if the election had been held on Oct. 27 (day before Comey letter)," Silver tweeted.

Comey in October sent a letter to lawmakers about the discovery of new emails the FBI said were potentially relevant to the investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server while serving as secretary of State.

The emails were reportedly found during a separate FBI investigation into former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.). Weiner is the estranged husband of one of Clinton's top aides, Huma Abedin.

Republicans and members of Donald Trump's campaign seized on the new information, attempting to cast Clinton as corrupt and praising the FBI for the development.

Then just days before the general election, Comey announced the FBI had not changed its July conclusion not to bring charges regarding Clinton's private server.

Since the election, Clinton campaign officials have put blame on Comey for the Democratic nominee's loss.

"There are lots of reasons why an election like this is not successful," Clinton told donors on a conference call one week after the election. "Our analysis is that Comey's letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum."

Interesting Quote: Tom Ford

“I think it would help them understand women. It’s such a vulnerable position to be in, and it’s such a passive position to be in. And there’s such an invasion, in a way, that even if it’s consensual, it’s just very personal. I think there’s a psyche that happens because of it that makes you understand and appreciate what women go through their whole life, because it’s not just sexual, it’s a complete setup of the way the world works, that one sex has the ability to literally—and is expected to and is wanted to—but also there’s an invasion. And I think that that’s something most men do not understand at all.”

CNN Panel Goes Off Over Trump, Conspiracy Theories

Interesting Quote: a Republican presidential elector

The election of the next president is not yet a done deal. Electors of conscience can still do the right thing for the good of the country. Presidential electors have the legal right and a constitutional duty to vote their conscience. I believe electors should unify behind a Republican alternative, an honorable and qualified man or woman such as Gov. John Kasich of Ohio. I pray my fellow electors will do their job and join with me in discovering who that person should be.

Pat McCrory Realizes that he LOST the Election! - VIDEO

He conceded... Yay!

U.S. Judge Orders Michigan Recount to start at Noon

The news
Michigan must begin its presidential recount at noon Monday, a federal judge ruled in a late-night order that could make it more likely the state will complete the count ahead of a Dec. 13 deadline.

In his ruling Sunday night, Judge Mark Goldsmith rejected an effort by state officials to delay the hand-counting of about 4.8 million ballots.

Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein argued that a law is unconstitutional that requires a break of at least two business days after the Board of Canvassers' final action on a recount request. Goldsmith found that Stein had "shown the likelihood of irreparable harm" if the count was delayed even by two days and rejected the state's arguments about the cost to taxpayers.

Republican Donald Trump defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton by 10,704 votes, or two-tenths of a percentage point, in Michigan. Stein received about 1 percent of the vote.

Republican Attorney General Bill Schuette, the Trump campaign and super PACs have filed separate lawsuits asking state courts to prevent the recount, arguing that Stein, as the fourth-place finisher, is not "aggrieved" because she has no chance of winning in a recount.

The Green Party also wants recounts in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Stein has argued, without evidence, that irregularities in the votes in all three states suggest that there could have been tampering with the vote, perhaps through a well-coordinated, highly complex cyberattack.

Elections officials in the three states, all narrowly won by Trump, have expressed confidence in their results. Even if all three recounts happen, none were expected to give Clinton enough votes to emerge as the winner.

Victory for Standing Rock

Good news!

After months of protests and prayer vigils, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will explore different pathways for the Dakota Access Pipeline. This gives a great victory to the Standing Rock Sioux tribe.

Here's more
The Standing Rock Sioux tribe and their supporters celebrated a historic victory Sunday after federal authorities halted construction of the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that it had denied the final easement required for the $3.8 billion project to cross under Lake Oahe in North Dakota. The Army said it will now explore alternative routes pending an environmental impact study.

The 1,172-mile pipeline starts at the Bakken Formation in northwest North Dakota near the Canadian border and runs southeast to southern Illinois.

The Standing Rock Sioux, which had been joined in a months-long protest by environmental, human rights and social justice activists, opposed the oil pipeline due to concerns over water contamination, environmental destruction and damage to ancestral sites.

“My hands go up to all the water protectors who have stood up to protect tribal treaty rights and to protect Mother Earth,” Brian Cladoosby, president of the National Congress of American Indians, said in a statement Sunday. “Thank you for Standing For Standing Rock.”

Check out Marilyn Manson's teaser for SAY10 Music Video NSFW

EW reports

Marilyn Manson shared a brutal new clip from a music video for his song “Say10” on Election Day. In the clip, Manson pulls pages from a Bible and holds a bloody knife. Though the camera never shows any actual killing, the camera then pans to show a beheaded man, who bears a resemblance to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Though Manson wouldn’t confirm that the video is about Trump, he told The Daily Beast on the eve of Election Day, “Either way tomorrow goes, the visuals are meant to create contemplation. Because it’s obviously bigger than just tomorrow.”

He continued: “Right now we’re in such a state of confusion when it comes to religion, politics, sexuality, and how they all tie together, and it’s being turned into a circus and a sideshow – and that’s something that I’ve been described as a ringleader of. It seems like a time for me as an artist, and as an American artist, to make something that causes a new set of questions to arise that aren’t simply statements.”

trump Top Coon says Trans folks live a 'freakish lifestyle'

trump's top choice for candidate to run the Department of Homeland Security is a bigot, a coon and a fool. Yes, I'm talking about David Clarke. This man is horrible and a cretin. He's also called Trans folk 'freakish'

Business Insider reports:
On the June 25th episode of his podcast, "The People's Sheriff," Clarke claimed that transgender Americans have mental disorders and painted them as one of several groups who live a "freakish lifestyle."

The sheriff cited Walt Heyer, a former transgender author who has called for parents of transgender Americans to be jailed.

"Folks, more evidence that transgender persons suffer from mental disorders more than physiological disorders," Clarke said, introducing a segment on his show dedicated to Heyer's columns.

He continued:

"Too often in this assault on the First Amendment, and this very totalitarian attitude from the left that any freakish lifestyle, any marginal lifestyle, is now considered part of the norm, and they're shoving it down our throats. So if you're not careful when you engage in this conversation, they'll look for the trap, and they'll catch you saying something that's clumsy or not well articulated, and then they'll just attack you — they'll attack you with it. 'Transgender phobic' and all this other nonsense."

Nancy Pelosi remains House Democratic Leader

Good news... to some, maybe.

Representative Nancy Pelosi remains the House Democratic leader. She beat Representative Tim Ryan, a 43-year-old congressman from Ohio. Tim tried to blame the election loss on the party's stance on the working class. However, others didn't agree with him.

The vote for Nancy Pelosi was 134 to 63.

I'm happy for Nancy, but I would like a new method to recruit Dems. Also, I want to stop this "we loss the working class". We didn't, the WHITE working class voters are always the lost cause. I'm not sure we can ever win them back because they consistently vote against their own interest.

Plus, with sexist and racist views highly present in their hearts...  I just don't know.

GOP Elector Resigns in protest of trump

Art Sisneros, a Republican member of the Electoral College, decided to take a stand against trump. Instead of voting for him, he resigned his post.

HuffPo reports
“I believe to resign is to honor the intent of the pledge as it relates to the people of my district,” Texas elector Art Sisneros wrote in a blog post. “Since I can’t in good conscience vote for Donald Trump, and yet have sinfully made a pledge that I would, the best option I see at this time is to resign my position as an Elector.”

Sisneros’ decision to step aside comes as some members of the Electoral College face mounting pressure from voters and advocacy groups to flip their votes against Trump, even if he won the popular vote in their states.

In his post, Sisneros argued that casting his vote for Trump would “bring dishonor to God,” and said that political parties and “winner-take-all” states destroyed the original intention of the Electoral College. Sisneros said in August that he was considering voting against Trump if the real estate mogul were to win the popular vote in Texas. But he told Politico Monday that he would instead resign.

The rest of the country’s 538 electors will choose Sisneros’ replacement when they convene on Dec. 19 to officially elect Trump as the next president. All of Texas’ 38 electoral votes are expected to go to Trump, who beat Hillary Clinton in the state by more than 800,000 votes.

“The people will get their vote,” Sisneros wrote. “I will sleep well at night knowing I neither gave in to their demands nor caved to my convictions. I will also mourn the loss of our republic.”

From the NYT
At least eight people were taken to the hospital on Monday morning after a shooting was reported on the campus of Ohio State University, according to officials at the Columbus Division of Fire. Campus authorities urged students to take shelter and “Run Hide Fight,” before saying the scene had been secured about 90 minutes later.

The episode was reported near Watts Hall, a building at the heart of the university’s sprawling Columbus campus that houses materials science and engineering programs. Heavily armed SWAT teams could be seen making their way up a stairwell of a nearby parking garage, and two people were taken away in handcuffs.

The university’s instructions — “Run Hide Fight” — stem from a public awareness campaign that is used in cities, universities and even by the Department of Homeland Security, which includes those instructions on its “active shooter preparedness” webpage. The Ohio State University includes it in its own page on active shooting situations.

Fire department officials reported that eight people had been transported to nearby hospitals, including one in critical condition, but did not say if any were being treated for gunshot wounds. Officials at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center said four of the wounded were being treated there, none of whom had life-threatening injuries.

At 11:32 a.m., the campus emergency alert system texted: “Shelter in Place lifted. Scene is now secure. ALL classes are canceled on Columbus campus for the remainder of the day.” A university spokesman did not immediately respond to a message seeking further details, but students took to Twitter posting photos from inside barricaded classrooms.

“I am more fearful of large gatherings of white men that come into schools, theaters and shoot people up, but we don’t isolate young white men on this issue.”
There's more to this statement, but it was very key to hear this from a white male.

trump claims "millions" of people voted illegally for Clinton

trump is back being the whining trick that he is. Over the weekend, he appeared to be shook over the possible recount of the votes. So, with his feelings on his sleeve, trump took to Twitter to claim that he would have won the nation’s popular vote if it weren’t for the “millions of people who voted illegally”

trump picks an Anti-LGBT Bigot for Education Secretary

trump picks the worst person for Education

He picked Betsy DeVos for his education secretary. This woman is anti-gay to the core. She and her husband has donated thousands and thousands of dollars to ban same sex marriage in Michigan and beyond. She has donated $500,000 to NOM and has never worked in public schools.

She a billionaire (from Amway) who believes in taking money from public schools and will probably f*ck things up. Look at what she did in Detroit.

trump disavows the White Nationalists

trump said that he disavows the Neo-Nazi group of weak whites sucking his jockstrap.

Politico reports:
“I don’t think so, Dean,” Trump said in response to a question from Times executive editor Dean Baquet about if he has energized the “alt-right.”

The alt-right is a nationalist movement that embraces populism and white identity politics. At times, as was the case at a conference this weekend in Washington, adherents have used outright racist and anti-Semitic attacks to further their views.

“I don’t want to energize the group, and I disavow the group,” Trump told Baquet. “It’s not a group I want to energize, and if they are energized, I want to look into it and find out why.” Asked point-blank about the conference featuring Spencer, Trump again disavowed any support.

“I disavow and condemn them,” Trump told Times reporters. He did chide them for continuing to ask about the topic though, telling one questioner: “Boy, you are really into [this issue].”

As a candidate, Trump brought in Breitbart News' executive chairman Steve Bannon to help run his campaign, and he recently tapped him to be his chief strategist in the White House.

Bannon has been accused of making the site a platform for the alt-right, though he has disavowed its members' espousal of racist and anti-Semitic views.

But what I think what we’re trying to do is say that there are some people, certainly not all people… there are some people that are radicalized. And there are some people that have to be prevented from coming into this country. And Donald Trump’s position, President Trump’s position is consistent with bills in the House and the Senate that say the following: If you want to come from a place or an area around the world that harbors and trains terrorists, we have to temporarily suspend that operation until a better vetting system is put in place.”

Mike Pence: I Wasn’t Offended by Message from Hamilton Cast

Mike Pence was BOOED at Hamilton

So Mike went to see Hamilton last night in New York. Once folks knew he was there, the booed him.

So at the end of the show, the cast had this to say:

trump picks Senator Jeff Sessions for Attorney General

What the f8ck?

trump pics Jeff Sessions as his Attorney General?

Jeff Sessions?

Remember back in 1985-86, he was considered too racist for the GOP. Then, in 2002, his confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee were horrible.

Sip this tea about Sessions:
While serving as a United States prosecutor in Alabama, Mr. Sessions was nominated in 1986 by President Ronald Reagan for a federal judgeship. But his nomination was rejected by the Republican-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee because of racially charged comments and actions. At that time, he was one of two judicial nominees whose selections were halted by the panel in nearly 50 years.

In testimony before the committee, former colleagues said that Mr. Sessions had referred to the N.A.A.C.P., the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and other civil rights groups as “un-American” and “Communist-inspired.” An African-American federal prosecutor then, Thomas H. Figures, said Mr. Sessions had referred to him as “boy” and testified that Mr. Sessions said the Ku Klux Klan was fine “until I found out they smoked pot.” Mr. Sessions dismissed that remark as a joke.

Mr. Sessions was also accused of speaking disparagingly of the Voting Rights Act and the stringent oversight it placed on Southern states.

Mr. Sessions, who was elected attorney general of Alabama in 1995, has long considered it a personal triumph that he was able to be elected to the Senate in 1997 and become a member of the panel that rejected his nomination to become a federal judge.
He's used goods and terrible for this country.

Huckabee: trump Could Be The Greatest President Ever

Of Course he would: Julian Assange wants a Pardon from trump

Julian Assange is a tragic queen, a snake and a scoundrel.

And he's asking for help from trump... Like a pardon.

Here's more
Lawyers for WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange are set to launch an appeal to US President-elect Donald Trump to end criminal investigations over the release of classified documents. Assange, who is currently seeking asylum at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, is wanted by American authorities after releasing classified documents surrounding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan provided by former US soldier Bradley Manning.

He is also wanted by Swedish authorities over allegations of sexual assault, and was quizzed by prosecutors inside the embassy last week. Lawyer Jennifer Robinson, who is representing Assange, said that “it is important to remember that he has never been charged and has already been cleared once by the previous prosecutor.”

“Through US counsel, we had reached out to the Obama administration, most recently just a few months ago, and we will continue to do so with future US administrations until the investigation is closed,” she continued.

Twitter cancels Alt-Right accounts

From USA Today
Twitter suspended a number of accounts associated with the alt-right movement, the same day the social media service said it would crack down on hate speech.

Among those suspended was Richard Spencer, who runs an alt-right think tank and had a verified account on Twitter.

Twitter on Tuesday removed Spencer's verified account, @RichardBSpencer, that of his think tank, the National Policy Institute @npiamerica, and his online magazine @radixjournal.

"This is corporate Stalinism," Spencer told The Daily Caller News Foundation. In a YouTube video, entitled Knight of the Long Knives, an apparent reference to the purge of Nazi leaders in 1934 to consolidate Adolf Hitler's power, Spencer said Twitter had engaged in a coordinated effort to wipe out alt-right Twitter.

"I am alive physically but digitally speaking there has been execution squads across the alt right," he said. "There is a great purge going on and they are purging people based on their views."

Twitter declined to comment on the suspensions which included the accounts of Paul Town, Pax Dickinson, Ricky Vaughn and John Rivers.

"We don't comment on individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons," the company said in an emailed comment.

Twitter was the platform of choice for the campaign of President-elect Donald Trump and the alt-right political movement that embraced him. The alt-right used social media to spread its cause of white supremacy, operating largely unchecked by social media giants Twitter and Facebook.

Heidi Beirich, spokeswoman for the Southern Poverty Law Center, told USA TODAY that the center had asked Twitter to remove more than 100 accounts of white supremacists who violated Twitter's terms of service.

"They have done nothing," Beirich said on Monday.

She also pointed to two alt-right accounts that had been verified by Twitter including Spencer's.

Twitter says it verifies an account by giving it a blue check mark when "it is determined to be an account of public interest." Twitter launched the feature in 2009 after celebrities complained about people impersonating them on the social media service.

Twitter has suspended alt-right accounts in the past but never so many at once.

In one of the highest-profile bans, Twitter removed the account of Milo Yiannopoulos, a technology editor at the conservative news site Breitbart in July. He had engaged in a campaign of abuse in which hundreds of anonymous Twitter accounts bombarded Ghostbuster actress Leslie Jones with racist and sexist taunts. Before banning Yiannopoulos, Twitter stripped him of his verified status.

Spencer said he supported Yiannopoulos and didn't think he should have been banned from Twitter. But, he said in his YouTube video, "Milo was engaging in something that could be called harassment."

"The fact is that I, and a number of other people who have just got banned, weren't even trolling," he said. "I was using Twitter just like I always use Twitter to give people some updates and maybe to comment on a news story here and there."

Glenn Beck Says "We Are Racist" If We Accept Steve Bannon In The White House

Interesting Quote: Steve (Daddy) Schmidt

“So you see all these Republican politicians asked awkwardly yesterday about Donald Trump saying on 60 Minutes, the gay marriage fight is over. Donald Trump blew the whistle on Sunday night on the culture wars. Basically said it’s over. It’s done. So if you’re a gay American this morning, it’s over. You won. You have a Republican in the White House, and there’s no more fighting about this issue. But what about vociferously anti-LGBT VP-elect Mike Pence, and the slew of other bigots who are likely to populate Trump’s cabinet. Well, Schmidt has an answer for that too: “Every one of those people from Mike Pence on down, their silence was acquiescence to that position. It’s over.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson named the Sexiest Man Alive

Well this is a bit of good news.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is People's Sexiest Man Alive.

People writes:
The world’s highest-paid actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has big box-office draw — but it’s his even bigger heart that made the Moana star this year’s Sexiest Man Alive!

So what did the former WWE champ, 44, think when he first heard about his latest title?

“I said, ‘That’s awesome.’ And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is,” Johnson tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.’ I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it.”
Dwayne will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to celebrate.

Question of the Day

Do you think Mike Pence is closeted?

I do, I really think he is.

Giuliani for Secretary of State?

This has to be a joke.

The Associated Press claims that Rudy Giuliani is the top choice to be Secretary of State. Seriously, Secretary of State. This is coming from a senior Trump official who spoke off the record. This person also said that no one is really going for the position and that it’s the former New York mayor’s if he wants it.

I hope this is just a rumor because Giuliani would be horrible at the job!

In Texas, GOP State Senator presents a Bill to Undo Local LGBT Protections

Bigots are feeling themselves.

In Texas, the GOP State Sen. Bob Hall introduced a bill that would kill every LGBT rights ordinances in the state and block opportunities for new protections.

Here's more from The New Civil Rights Movement
Hall's bill is the first anti-LGBT measure filed in advance of next year's Texas Legislature, which convenes in January. Today marks the first day of pre-filing of bills for the upcoming session, in which dozens of anti-LGBT measures are likely to be considered.

Senate Bill 92 would prohibit cities, counties and other political subdivisions from adopting or enforcing "a local law that creates a protected classification or prohibits discrimination on a basis not contained in the laws of this state."

Because Texas state law doesn't include sexual orientation or gender identity, cities and counties would be prohibited from enforcing LGBT-inclusive nondiscrimination ordinances.

She will be missed.

President Obama has to Help trump get it Together

Ha! This is a hoot.

So during trump's meeting at the White House, it was clear that he ain't for this job. Reports are claiming that Laudy Daudy was shocked about the scope of the president's responsibilities.

According to a report from The Wall Street Journal:
Trump's aides were also apparently unaware that the entire staff of the president working in the White House's West Wing would need to be replaced, according to the Journal.

Obama reportedly will spend more time counseling Trump about the presidency than most presidents do with their successors.

Trump and Obama were highly critical of each other during the campaign season, but appear to have struck a conciliatory tone since Trump's election, at least publicly.

"I want to emphasize to you, Mr. President-elect, that we now are going to want to do everything we can to help you succeed, because if you succeed then the country succeeds," Obama said to Trump in front of reporters on Thursday. Trump called Obama "a very good man" during the session.
Looks, like he needs Obama more that Obama needs him.

Laudy Daudy (Trump) says Same Sex Marriage is Law

Interesting Quote: Sen. Harry Reid

“It only took five days for President-elect Trump to try to silence his critics with the threat of legal action. This should shock and concern all Americans.

“Trump has always used threats and intimidation to silence his critics. Now he wants to silence a discussion of the acts of hate and threats of violence being committed in his name across the country. Silencing this discussion normalizes hate and intimidates the victims.

“The facts are stark and shocking. Since Trump was elected, acts of hate against Muslims, Jews, women and people of color have spiked dramatically. The KKK is planning a parade to celebrate Trump’s victory because the KKK sees Trump as their champion. Today, a headline in one newspaper reads, ‘Popular neo-Nazi site urges readers to troll liberals into suicide,’ while another reads, ‘Post-election spate of hate crimes worse than 9-11.’

“But instead of rising to the responsibility of his office, Trump is hiding behind his Twitter account and sending his staff on TV to threaten his critics.

“If this is going to be a time of healing, Trump must take action immediately to stop the acts of hate and threats of violence that are being committed in his name across the country. Trump owes the nation leadership, not petty attempts to silence his critics.”

The Log Cabin Republicans beg for Help... Even though they supported Trump

Really? Really?

Check out this press release from Log Cabin Republicans president Gregory T. Angelo:

It’s been a whirlwind couple of days, but I didn’t want to wait another minute to share this important news: For the past three weeks, I’ve been in regular communication with the Trump Transition Team, the group tasked with organizing personnel and policy for our president-elect.

While Log Cabin Republicans was working to have a relationship with our nation’s incoming chief executive, the LGBT Left was busy demonizing Donald Trump and fundraising off of bogeymen.

I can’t say it’s surprising — what else can they do now? After working for decades against Republicans rather than with them and putting all their faith into the failed candidacy of Hillary Clinton, purportedly “non-partisan” LGBT advocacy groups now face GOP majorities in the House and Senate, and a Republican in the White House for the next 4 — or perhaps even EIGHT — years.

That’s why the work of Log Cabin Republicans is so important. In fact, it’s more important than it’s ever been. Collectively, LGBT advocacy organizations on the Left have staff in the hundreds. Budgets in the millions. And yet, they don’t have a single point of contact in the incoming Trump administration. Log Cabin Republicans does.

Think about that. While LGBT liberals were breathlessly lamenting this fact to the New York Times, Log Cabin Republicans was quietly working behind-the-scenes to ensure the advances in LGBT freedom we have made thus far remain secure and continue in a Trump administration.

No one else is doing this. That’s why your support is needed so much right now. Please give now and give generously — $250, $100, $50, or whatever you can give will make a difference when it matters most.

And if you’re not a member (or if your membership has lapsed) now is the time to “come back to the Cabin”! Join or renew your membership at this link right now. Log Cabin Republicans will continue to work for full equality on behalf of all LGBT Americans. That’s my vow, and it’s why I’m writing to you tonight.
