WikiLeaks plans to give details on CIA hacking to Tech Companies

WikiLeaks trash leader Julian Assange is giving details about the CIA's hacking tools to tech companies so they can patch security holes.

Assange made the offer during a press conference Thursday. He said WikiLeaks has "a lot" of unpublished information about CIA hacking and spying that the organization would release after the tech companies fix security gaps.

Earlier this week, WikiLeaks published what it said were internal CIA documents showing that the agency has an extensive worldwide hacking operation that allows it to infiltrate phones and televisions to spy on people.

Apple and Google said shortly after the documents were published that they have already eliminated many of the potential vulnerabilities. Samsung and Microsoft said they were aware of the leaks and looking into them.

Assange lawyer: Manning commutation doesn't meet extradition offer's conditions (Bitch, please)

As many of you know, I hate Julian Assange.

Yesterday, Chelsea Manning's sentence was reduced by President Obama. Before that happened, Assange offer to be extradited to the United States if Manning were pardoned. Well, like the snake he is, Assange backs out.

The lawyer for Julian Assange said President Obama’s commutation of Chelsea Manning’s sentence does not meet the conditions of the WikiLeaks head’s offer to be extradited to the United States if Manning were pardoned. Obama on Tuesday commuted Manning’s sentence for leaking diplomatic cables to WikiLeaks, leading many to wonder whether that meant Assange was ready to surrender to the Department of Justice.

“Mr. Assange welcomes the announcement that Ms. Manning’s sentence will be reduced and she will be released in May, but this is well short of what he sought,” said Barry Pollack, Assange’s U.S.-based attorney, via email. “Mr. Assange had called for Chelsea Manning to receive clemency and be released immediately.”

Lawyers for WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange are set to launch an appeal to US President-elect Donald Trump to end criminal investigations over the release of classified documents. Assange, who is currently seeking asylum at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, is wanted by American authorities after releasing classified documents surrounding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan provided by former US soldier Bradley Manning.

He is also wanted by Swedish authorities over allegations of sexual assault, and was quizzed by prosecutors inside the embassy last week. Lawyer Jennifer Robinson, who is representing Assange, said that “it is important to remember that he has never been charged and has already been cleared once by the previous prosecutor.”

“Through US counsel, we had reached out to the Obama administration, most recently just a few months ago, and we will continue to do so with future US administrations until the investigation is closed,” she continued.
