I just rediscovered this song not too long ago. I remembered it from my childhood but had no idea who sung it! I thought it was a guy singing this! I go on Youtube and find that not only is it a woman but it's the Pointer Sisters!!! (Ruth is my favorite!!)
They don't get an iota of the kudos they deserve! After realizing this was them I went to itunes and DL'ed a ton of their stuff! Such an amazing mature and talented group of women. I miss the days when talent mattered!
I also love the fact that ALL of them sing lead on various hits! The group wasn't a platform for one girl over the others. (Achemm..Destiny's Child) These are true divas and classic!!!
I'm gonna feature them on my site soon because I didn't know that they were the ones who sung the pinball counting song on Sesame Street.
