Hey GOP Leaders! Are you sure you want to give Bush all of the credit?

This is for the GOP leaders who want to skip President Obama and give Bush credit for Bin Laden's death.

Remember this?

I do. He wasn't concerned. I'll say it again, Bush wasn't concerned about Bin Laden. He's more proof for you

Thanks, GOP leaders. I'm sure the 1st clip will be used in the 2012 campaign just to show how out of touch they really are.

UPDATE! The PA Gay Marriage Ban defeated!

Today, Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr led a resolution to ban gay marriage in Pennsylvania. Well, 3 Repubs crossed over to defeat the proposal.

The 8-to-6 vote in favor of tabling the measure in the Republican-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee leaves the joint resolution on limited life support.

Senator John H. Eichelberger, Jr. first announced he would sponsor the resolution in May of last year but postponed its introduction until January due to the economy, the conservative lawmaker said.

Eichelberger's resolution would insert the following language into the state constitution: “Only a union of one man and one woman shall be valid and recognized as a marriage in this Commonwealth.”

But three Republican and five Democratic lawmakers disagreed. Joining all the committee's Democrats in killing the resolution were Republicans Pat Browne, Jane Earll and Mary Jo White.

I'm surprised to hear this, but very grateful and hopeful for Pennsylvania.

Marriage Equality Bill Fails in NY

It was sad to hear, but the vote was Yes 24, No 38.

It was a great try, now we need to collect and refocus.

What will be the next steps, what will be the next state?

Paranormal Activity destroys stupid Vamps and Jigsaw Puzzles

I can't believe this!

The cheap and easy horror flick, Paranormal Activity whipped Saw VI's ass at the box office and pissed on the Cirque du Freak: the Vampire’s Assistant movie's face for fun.
Becoming the biggest box office phenomenon of the year, Paramount’s “Paranormal Activity” easily took down “Saw VI” in grossing an estimated $22 million from 1,945 theaters to win the weekend and finish with an eye-popping cume of $62.5 million in its fifth frame.

“Saw VI” opened to an estimated $14.8 million from 3,036 theaters--less than half the opening gross of the previous four films in the horror franchise. It also came in below the original “Saw,” which opened just north of $18 million. Film placed No. 2.

Universal’s Halloween entry “Cirque du Freak: the Vampire’s Assistant” grossed an estimated $6.3 million from 2,754 runs to placed No. 8. Film was co-financed by U and Relativity Entertainment, and produced for $40 million.

Paranormal continues to fool, I mean, wow audiences. And it sent the message that original ideas are on the comeback train. So producers, take heed at what just happened.

Jigsaw is dead and vampires are boring... Jazz horror up!

Great News! Melrose Place BOMBED in ratings!

Y'all may know, I hated the idea of a Melrose Place reboot and Hera knows I hate CW. However, I was overjoyed to learn that the season premier failed expectations.

It debuted to low numbers (2.3 million viewers overall). More folks watch reruns of "Cheaters" and "Family Guy".

In fact "Hell's Kitchen, "More to Love" and a REPEAT of "America's Got Talent" scored much higher.

90201 also scored low in ratings, proving that too much of the same thing leads to disaster. Maybe CW will consider bringing back "The Game" or something with a diverse and INTERESTING cast. But until then, I'll enjoy the network's slow death with a two piece and a biscuit

From Comic-Con: The Vampire Diaries is the "Ishtar" of the Fall Season

At Comic-Con, you get to see the pilots for most supernatural and sci-fi like shows. The lines are incredibly long, but usually worth it.

But not CW's, The Vampire Diaries.

That session was the talk of the evening. During the Gay in Comics mixer, folks were bashing it royally. They even left the screening early, saying it was a bad wet dream. Several viewers were making jokes, saying: they would rather lose their balls than to sit through that mess again.

Other reviews were just as bad. i09 said:
Sadly VD makes Twilight look like Shakespeare. This show is a giant sparkle of crap.

The Examiner
:

The reception wasn't the greatest for the "Twilight-like" TV show. It wasn't that bad, but it had many similarities to the Stephenie Meyer story, and they seemed to be unpopular with the "Twilight" heavy crowd.

HitFix

It's almost enough to make one feel bad for the show until one considers that, well, "The Vampire Diaries" pretty much sucks.

There's more, but I'll stop the hater party. However, it doesn't look good for the show's future. I knew it would be bad, but we will see how CW struggles to keep the show alive.

But on a great note, the True Blood session was the bomb!!! More of that later.

Hot to Trot,

V.

NOM, it's time to SHUT IT DOWN!

Press Release from NOM

NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MARRIAGE: CLARIFICATION ON CARRIE PREJEAN

(Princeton, NJ) - Maggie Gallagher, president of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) released this statement today clarifying the role of Carrie Prejean at a press conference held Thursday in Washington, DC:

“A number of media sources have described Carrie Prejean as a spokesperson for the National Organization for Marriage.

As we made clear at our press conference yesterday: Carrie appeared with NOM as a private citizen; she does not work for the National Organization for Marriage. She is a spokesperson for her own views, as anyone watching her can tell.

We are grateful to Carrie Prejean for her willingness to stand up for marriage. We would love to work with Carrie in the future if she chooses, and we wish her well in all her future endeavors whatever she chooses. We're proud of her. Americans are proud of her. She is a remarkable young woman. Thank you, Carrie. "

You're Fired, Carrie. That what they are telling you.

And NOM, this is not working at all. Your attempts at being effective are sheer comedy and slapstick at best. Y'all are poorly managed like a small town Dairy Queen. Please for love of Xander Harris just SHUT THIS DOWN! End this slow death you call an organization.

NOM is an Omega Fail!

The Footloose remake will FAIL

I am using my precog powers and telling y'all that the Footloose remake will fail.
Maybe not so deep in the fail bend, but it will fail and here's why:

Though Chace Crawford is rumored to be in the final stages of negotiations to star in the remake of the 1984 classic Footloose, the resident Gossip Girl hottie could be running into scheduling troubles with the hit TV show.

According to E! Online, there's a big overlap between when he'd have to shoot Footloose and the next season of Gossip Girl. Producers of the show have been unable to successfully accommodate the movie’s shooting schedule.

If they were smart, they would ditch this project. Plus Chace is not a box office draw...FAIL

Why I think Religious Leaders Failed

The religious right leaders has admitted that their goal to remake our country in their image has failed. James Dobson, Rev Joe Morecraft and few others realized following Bush and playing foolish games cost them dearly.

But to me, this was a predictable defeat. There are reasons why their path lead them to a wall. The article in colored block has some reasons, but I will add more to their "fail" list.

  • They got involved with politics. Jesus wasn't a fan of Politics.
  • They did not have faith in their own God. They trusted politicians who would say any and everything to win.
  • They fought for the wrong causes. Poverty, equal rights, love and education for all should have been the focus of these group, but no, they chose gay marriage and abortion. Those issues had nothing to do with the problems of the world.
  • They let money rule everything around them. They didn't raise money to stop the war or to provide books in schools; they did it to fund some politician who dropped them as they were in office.
  • They allowed crazies into their flock, quickly painting the religious group as mad and ignorant.
  • And I think they forgot who Jesus was and what he stood for.
Their quest for power was their downfall. Maybe this time, these religious groups can really find a real reason for their existence. Their methods only fueled hate and foolishness. They should return to basics and promote love and social justice.

That's is WJWD.

End One Tree Hill...Pronto!!! And end CW, too!

Pretty much every month, I will rant about the failed TV netmess, CW. I hate this channel for many reasons, but after seeing this mess my vision is clear.

CW MUST BE BURNT TO ASHES!

Look at the promo for One Tree Hill, a show that NO ONE is watching, like most of their broke ass line-up.

What the F**K!

I expect that scene as a joke on 30 Rock or Robot Chicken, but for real...What idiot wrote that crap?

They canceled most, if not all, their shows of color for this bullshit (yes, I said a bad word)! And who is really watching One Tree Hill? That show is a dying horse in the desert.

Kill It Already!

For the fact that the show is reduced to cheap ass tricks and gimmicks is proof that this series is overcooked.

No High Time in Hawaii

What's really going on, y'all?

The drama in Hawaii has settled and we lost. The same-sex civil unions died, short of the 9 votes to pass.

The senators did not have the power to stop Senate President Colleen Hanabusa, who wasn't trying to hear it.

According to Miss Mess Hanabusa, she didn't want to override the lawmaking process by lifting the bill from its committee.

however, she is willing to break folks' hearts and deny their rights. Way to go, Colleen

Sit Down, Johnny!

McCain got a message loud and clear from the Dems today.

Your alternative stimulus plan STINKS!

The poor man put up a plan that was smaller than Obama' s, but it almost made no sense. They voted 57-40 against McCain's $421 billion dollar plan.

McCain's plan would have cut the bottom two income tax brackets and reduced corporate income taxes. It also would have extended unemployment benefits and provide money to take care of military equipment demolished in the war. But nobody was hearing it. Nice try though, Magoo.

3rd Horror Movie of 2009 SUCKS to the 10th Power

As I predicted, The Uninvited came in 3rd place right behind Paul Blart: Mall Cop. In fact, Mall Cop made four million more than the broke ass Casper story.

Mall Cop 14 mil, Ghost/psycho mess 10 mil.

My advice to Horror movies makers: GET IT TOGETHER!

And hire me as a consultant

I See London, I See France, I Will See Who Voted for Prop 8

Poor 'Yes on Prop 8' supporters. They just lost the ability to hide their names from the donors' list. After complaining they were being harassed for donating towards oppression, they wanted to basically change the law.

But the courts wasn't hearing it, saying that we have the right to see who donates to what cause.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld campaign disclosure laws in 1976 but ruled in 1982 that the Socialist Workers Party in Ohio could shield its donors' names because of a history of attacks and reprisals.

Protect Marriage argued that it was entitled to the same exemption because of retaliation against some of its contributors, but lawyers for the state said the two cases weren't comparable. They noted that the Prop. 8 campaign raised nearly $30 million from 36,000 donors.

If the Prop. 8 campaign was exempted from disclosure because of reports of harassments of individual donors, said Deputy Attorney General Zackery Morazzini, the same case could be made for any controversial initiative. Courts would have to "keep the entire California electorate in the dark as to who was funding these ballot measures," he said.

So folks, the moral or the story is: you can oppress, but you can't hide.

The Spirit didn't Move

I wanted to see this movie and I wanted to believe that it had a shot in hell, but I guess I was wrong. The Spirit saved nothing in the theater.

In fact, it came in 11th place, behind movies that were released a couple of weeks ago. What went wrong? What it the unbelievable hero, the overuse of femme fatales, or Samuel L. Jackson?

I still may see it, but if I can get it bootlegged version first, I'll save $10 bucks.
