Joseph Gordon-Levitt cast in the new Batman Movie

Holy Batman News! Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been cast as the Holiday Killer.
Now that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to re-team with his "Inception" director Christopher Nolan on "The Dark Knight Rises," the question turns to what role the actor will play.

Speculation has run rampant regarding the role, with blogs pegging the part as The Riddler or Deadshot, but insiders tell Variety that Gordon-Levitt will be playing Alberto Falcone, the son of Mafia chieftain Carmine Falcone, the character Tom Wilkinson played in "Batman Begins."

Alberto Falcone, who is also known as The Holiday Killer, would bring Nolan's superhero trilogy full-circle.
This will be an interesting movie.

Deadline reveals some interesting BTDKR info! They confirm the official announcement of Anne Hathaway cast as Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane. Read the release:
BURBANK, CA, January 19, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Christopher Nolan stated, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story.”

In addition, Tom Hardy has been set to play Bane. Nolan said, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”
Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven.

“The Dark Knight Rises” is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
I am curious about they will explain her origin. And I am really curious if Anne can pull this off.

Other Actresses Christopher Nolan could consider for Batman 3

So far the top 6 actresses Christopher Nolan is looking at, are at best, okay. But if I could, I would slip these girls' folders on his desk.

                                                                Thandie Newton

Christopher Nolan is looking for One Good Girl and One Bad Girl for Batman 3: The Dark Knight Rises

I got some Bat News for you. Christopher Nolan has 2 main female roles to fill in the next Batman movie.
Deadline reports:
Chris Nolan is lining up actresses he'll meet for two female lead roles in The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment of the Batfranchise which Warner Bros has dated release on July 20, 2012. I'm told one of the roles is a love interest for Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne, and the other is a villain. The actresses are: Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley. Nolan is keeping the roles under wraps, just the way that he did when he drafted his Inception star Tom Hardy to come aboard to likely play a villain. Deadline broke that story October 13. I'm still not sure what the role is and I believe Hardy took the job without knowing or reading a script that's still being tweaked.
Okay, I'm only feeling Rachel Weisz. I want more choices and more diversity in these women.

Is Tom Hardy in Batman 3?

I think so. Deadline reports that Hottie Tommy may have a major role in the Caped Crusader movie.

I'm told that Hardy has been set by his Inception director Chris Nolan for a lead role in the next Batman film at Warner Bros. Insiders are keeping the role secret and won't even say if he's up for a villain role, but that seems a reasonable assumption

Wow, Chris keeps his actions tight. I will keep y'all posted.

My Crazy Idea for a 3rd Batman Movie

The 3rd Batman movie is coming in 2 years. And I got to thinking, what I would do if I had to make this flick?

I thought about it and came up with a crazy plot. So, here is my idea for Batman Trois:
  • Batman has been absent for almost a year. Bruce is afraid of causing more harm to anyone and ponders the need for a Batman.
  • Crime is back up and the crime lords are battling for control of Gotham.
  • One crime lord (I'll call him, Bam) has a powerful string of hookers doing more than just selling sex. Some of thieves and some are hit girls. Selina Kyle is one of his best girls. However, she wants more out of life.
  • A new criminal is using riddles and deadly mind games to gain control of Gotham. This person is also becoming the new vigilante of the city. After eliminating a few major criminals, 'The Riddler' is gaining clout, sending a strong message to the others mobsters.
  • Meanwhile, Bruce has been watching all of this and decides to sneak back into the madness, but not as Batman. Bruce takes on another persona (Jack).
  • Jack/Bruce meets with Bam in hopes to get close to The Riddler. Later he meets Selina. They become close.
  • Bam wants to take The Riddler out. He plans on sending in his girls to do it. One of the girls (Kip), a 13 year-old who very eager to please. Selina is also one of the girls.
  • Selina is close to Kip and really doesn't want her in this line of the business.
  • One of Bam's girls is a double agent and rats him out. The Riddler sends in a team to take out Bam.
  • Bam, Kip and several girls are killed. Bruce and Selina barely escape the attack, however Bruce doesn't know if Selina survived. She does.
  • Bruce realizes The Riddler must be taken down, so he comes back as Batman.
  • The word gets out that Batman is back. Selina decides to go after The Riddler too, but as a someone else... The Catwoman.
  • Then the show really starts.
So that's a crazy idea I had. Nothing award winning, but I thought it could be fun. I've always liked the idea of Selina being from the streets and super tough. Also having a book/street smart Riddler. But it's just a crazy idea.

Here's what you need to know about Batman 3 from Christopher Nolan

In Empire magazine, Christopher Nolan revealed some info about Batman 3.

  • No Joker! The will be no Joker in the film. Christopher said so.
"No" says Nolan, emphatically and unhesitatingly. "I just don't feel comfortable talking about it"
  • The Penguin, King Tut, Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze are not considered for the 3rd flick. But The Riddler and Catwoman could make an appearance.
  • Christopher has an idea of the film.
"My brother Jonathan is working on the screenplay. We came up with a story that we are very exited about. We particularly like where we are taking the characters and what the ending is. There are things for me to be very exited about in addressing the characters again, but ultimately it always comes down to the script, and can we make a great film from this? Thats something I will firmly be turning my attention to figuring out fairly soon. [This film will be] the ending of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story"
  • There won't be a Batman & Superman Swirl... well Christopher doesn't want it.
"Marvel are doing what they are doing and people will either respond to that really well or they won't. Its not something I ever applied a blanket rule to, but Marvel characters are very different to DC characters....You've got to go back to that element of "What do I see when I close my eyes and think of Batman/Superman?" And for me a big part of that is their individuality. They are extraordinary beings in an ordinary world....they are two very different characters but theres an elemental feeling of power in the iconography of those characters. To me thats originally because they stood alone, I need to hang onto that in my imagining of them"
  • Christopher has not signed on for Batman 3, but is very invested in it.
" No, I haven't. There is a point where your just being precious about it and people get annoyed, but the God's honest truth is I work on one movie at a time(Inception), I'm only capable of doing that, so my head will continue to be firmly in this movie for the next few months."
So that's what you need to know for now.

Great Hera! Batman 3 CONFIRMED & a Wonder Woman movie on the way!

I am full of geeky gayness right now (more than usual)!

Jeff Robinov, president of Warner Bros, announced to the New York Times that Batman 3 and Diana aka Wonder Woman are indeed coming to us.

Driven by its need to replace Harry Potter, not to mention the continued appeal of superheroes, Warner recently announced a major reorganization of DC Comics. The goal is to quickly and more fully exploit its characters, something Time Warner’s corporate bureaucracy has hampered in the past.

Warner is expected to announce a DC slate in the coming months populated by characters like the Flash and Wonder Woman.

Central to Mr. Robinov’s approach to DC is to avoid cookie-cutter representations and take risks when it comes to hiring directors and choosing a cast. Fully backing a filmmaker’s vision has become a hallmark of his style, ranging from the odd “Watchmen,” which was a modest success, to the candy-colored “Speed Racer,” which was a flaming disaster, to “The Dark Knight,” a home run.

“He is trying not to cling to the things that have worked in the past,” said Christopher Nolan, who directed “The Dark Knight” and is working on another Batman sequel.

I really, really hope they get Diana into film. And if they were smart, they would get Joss Whedon back to write and director her.

The Sun is claiming that Megan Fox will be Catwoman!!

This has to be a rumor! The Sun is known for their mess and this has to top it all.

If this is true, I will use the Phoenix force on WB and burn it to ashes.
