Hera, take me Now! There are Black Teabaggers!

I must be dreaming!
Yes, there are Black Teabaggers! I know, I know it's crazy. And these folks are damn proud of it.
They've been called Oreos, traitors and Uncle Toms, and are used to having to defend their values. Now black conservatives are really taking heat for their involvement in the mostly white tea party movement—and for having the audacity to oppose the policies of the nation's first black president.Have they seen the pictures, the news or anything lately? Teabaggers are not the best of friends with the minorities. I don't know what these folks are thinking. However, to each their own I guess."I've been told I hate myself. I've been called an Uncle Tom. I've been told I'm a spook at the door," said Timothy F. Johnson, chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a group of black conservatives who support free market principles and limited government.
"Black Republicans find themselves always having to prove who they are. Because the assumption is the Republican Party is for whites and the Democratic Party is for blacks," he said.
Johnson and other black conservatives say they were drawn to the tea party movement because of what they consider its commonsense fiscal values of controlled spending, less taxes and smaller government. The fact that they're black—or that most tea partyers are white—should have nothing to do with it, they say.
No one said we all should be on the same team, but I thought this was the one issue we all agreed on.
P.S. My mama is praying for these people.

Texas State Board of Education are filled with Idiots!

Texas State Board of Education managed to put in for foolishness in a bunch of social studies, history and economics lessons and books.
They want strong conservative ideals to be taught to millions of students for years to come.
This is what pure mess looks like, y'all. These folks want to screw up millions of kids for some idiotic standards that will NOT be recognized anywhere else in the frakking country.
Here are some the things they changed.
-Teachers in Texas will be required to cover the Judeo-Christian influences of the nation's Founding Fathers, but not highlight the philosophical rationale for the separation of church and state.
-Curriculum standards also will describe the U.S. government as a "constitutional republic," rather than "democratic," and students will be required to study the decline in value of the U.S. dollar, including the abandonment of the gold standard.
- The Board removed Thomas Jefferson from the Texas curriculum, "replacing him with religious right icon John Calvin."-Conservatives beat back multiple attempts to include hip-hop as an example of a significant cultural movement.
-Numerous attempts to add the names or references to important Hispanics throughout history also were denied, inducing one amendment that would specify that Tejanos died at the Alamo alongside Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie. Another amendment deleted a requirement that sociology students "explain how institutional racism is evident in American society."
- The Board refused to require that "students learn that the Constitution prevents the U.S. government from promoting one religion over all others."
Mess, sheer mess! Now, if I could, I would cut Texas off from all federal funding and benefits until this crap was erased. I can't believe the audacity of this Board! Where did they get their education from? Fashion Bug?
Y'all are f**king up your kids' future, TEXAS!!!
Idiots!!!

The Kids are Alright... Maybe.
See here:

Their core values are not all about opposite marriage and abortion, but the reducing of government in our daily lives seems to be main priority.
And here...
Stopping Gay marriage is very low on the list. Hell, protecting gun rights rank higher than our ability to wed. This is very telling about the future of the GOP. Maybe, just maybe this is the direction they will take? I'm not sure, but these results are helpful in understanding the important issues to come.

Interesting Quote: David Frum

"Like all conservatives, I am concerned about this administration's accumulation of economic power. Still, you have to be aware that there's a line where legitimate concerns begin to collapse into paranoid fantasy."
David Frum, a conservative author and speechwriter for President George W. Bush.

And they call Us the Sex Addicts

Guess who loves the porn? Well, most of us do, but a new study revealed that Conservatives love it so much more.
This study found that conservative and religious states consume the most porn than other states. Look at some key points from the study:
Church-goers bought less online porn on Sundays – a 1% increase in a postal code's religious attendance was associated with a 0.1% drop in subscriptions that day. However, expenditures on other days of the week brought them in line with the rest of the country.
The biggest consumer, Utah, averaged 5.47 adult content subscriptions per 1000 home broadband users; Montana bought the least with 1.92 per 1000.
Residents of 27 states that passed laws banning gay marriages boasted 11% more porn subscribers than states that don't explicitly restrict gay marriage.
Eight of the top 10 pornography consuming states gave their electoral votes to John McCain in last year's presidential election – Florida and Hawaii were the exceptions. While six out of the lowest 10 favoured Barack Obama.
Very interesting...keeping the hypocritical aspect of conservative alive and well. Oh well, at least we know they masturbate sometimes.
