This group has always been in the middle of everything anti-gay, but this mess takes the cake.

Joe.My.God. broke the story about FRC's Devil dealings in Uganda.

According to the FRC's official lobbying report for the first quarter of 2010, they paid two two of their henchmen $25,000 to lobby Congress against approving a resolution denouncing Uganda's plan to execute homosexuals. The resolution passed in the Senate on April 13th, but remains languished in the House almost four months after being referred to the Foreign Affairs Committee. Did the FRC's lobbying kill it? As we learned last week with Malawi, international pressure CAN sway even the most virulently anti-gay government.

Below are three screencaps of the 20-page Family Research Council lobbying report supplied to me by Duncan Osbourne at Gay City News. Among the other items they lobbied against are the overturn of DADT and DOMA, which is to be expected. But it's almost astounding, almost, that they would lobby the members of Congress against denouncing the death penalty for LGBT people.

THIS needs to fucking THROWN in Tony Perkins' and Peter Sprigg's smirking faces the next time they appear on cable television to speak in soothing voices about the FRC's godly gentle love for homosexuals. The proof is right below on official United States government stationery. The Family Research Council wants you DEAD. Glory! Praise His Name! Also: Die, faggots, die!

Tony Alamo was arrested Thursday in Flagstaff, Arizona, on charges related to a child porn investigation. He was charged under a federal statute with having knowingly transported a minor across state lines with the intent to engage in sexual activity.

McCain on Evil: Defeat It, Super Soliders!

Last night, during a presidential forum with the candidates, Rev. Warren asked McCain if evil exist and how to deal with it. McCain said he would defeat it, and that statement received a round of applause.

But I know you can't defeat it. It's not that simple, McCainiac. We will never defeat "evil" because we do not have a solid grasp of the concept of evil. I've blogged about evil before. I believe that "evil" is a form of circumstance. A series of events that can result into something deeper and far from what most of us could ever imagine. Our "villains" are sometimes victims, usually by our practices and policies. If we want to stop evil in other countries, we might need to check our "American" actions first.

Also to defeat evil is a never-ending battle. With the ills of the world, it would take a complete moral makeover to make that happen, and my friends, will never happen. To be treal, we need evil. Evil, or the concept of evil, keeps the moral conflict balanced. Without it, we would never learn our strong points or weaknesses. We would not be able to take a solid stance or hold a strong value towards life or death.

It's the old belief of Yin and Yang. Both good and evil must exist if we want to be better people. And while I struggle with the idea of evil, I do think it exist. But it's deeper than the malefic grin, high cheek bones, and the green skin. It's more than we are willing to see.

It started production in Toronto in May 1, 2007 with the run extended from June 23, 2007 to August 4, 2007. Now, it's starting up in the Campbell Theatre in Martinez, CA on June 13, 2008.

It should be fun, even if it's bad.

Evil: What does it mean?

An age old question. What is evil? According to wikipedia, Evil is a broad term used to indicate a negative moral or ethical judgment, often used to describe intentional acts that are cruel, unjust, or selfish. Evil is usually contrasted with good, which describes intentional acts that are kind, just, or unselfish.

But if you break it down, I don't know if pure evil exist. As everyday people, we channel different doses of evil on a regular basis. We all get jealous, hateful, selfish, and highly unjust to others and ourselves. And at times, we carry on with these issues longer than we should. Still the word Evil seems so definite and forever.

When I though about evil people or characters we grew up with, I noticed they were reasons behind their wickedness. Think about it: oppression got the Wicked Witch of the West and Magneto to do unspeakable things. In the real world, Bin Laden was pushed and broken to the point of attacking us in a horrible way. But does that make him evil or victim of oppression. Satan is another example of evil, but when you research his history it comes down to a power struggle. Someone won and someone lost.

A broken heart pushes people out their minds and a few to insanity. But I'm not sure it's evil. So again I ask...What is pure evil? Is it cruel acts without reason or without remorse? Or is it something we've been taught to believe about others when we don't understand them. Well, I thought I would just put it out there. The word, Evil has always fascinated me. I always wondered why it's easy to identify or label someone, Evil. I guess there's not a simple answer, but maybe one day I figure it out.
