Mitt Romney's Possible VP Picks

Mitt will soon choose a VP, but the real question is which idiot will he chose? Well, I have 4 possible picks.

Darrell Issa - good choice

Carly Fiorina - they need a woman

Chris Christie - he would be something, messy

Tim Pawlenty - the best and safest bet

So Why Did Moose Mess get on the VP Short List?

Sometimes, I wonder how in the lakes of Hell did Moose Mess become a VP nominee? I'm sure many of you thought the same.

Well today, I found this piece from Politico and I'm not surprised, but surprised at the same time. See here
Aides to John McCain initially added Sarah Palin to his "short list" of potential running mates because McCain wanted a woman on the list, according to his campaign manager.

McCain entered the vice presidential selection process with a list of five possibilities: Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, Michael Bloomberg, Charlie Crist, and Joe Lieberman, according to Washingtonian's profile (which isn't online) of Washington lawyer A.B. Culvahouse, who led the search.

"As the clock was running out, [campaign manager Rick] Davis say McCain asked to have at least one woman on the short list. His advisers went back to the long list and plucked out Palin's name," the magazine reported.

The questions of how thoroughly Palin was vetted, and why she was chosen, have been sore spots that helped divide McCain's campaign in its aftermath between its leadership, who saw her as an out-of-control, destructive force, and another group of staffers who saw her as a more promising figure than McCain himself.
Lord, so instead of getting the Debutante, they picked the Beauty School Drop Out. Oh well.

Interesting Quote: Dick Cheney

There are bound to be debates and arguments from time to time and wrestling back and forth about what kinds of authority is appropriate in any specific circumstances, but I think that what we've done has been totally consistent with what the Constitution provides for.

His answer to Chris Wallace's question, "if the President, during war, decides to do something to protect the country, is it legal?

The Real Sexism of Palin pt. 2

Campbell Brown shared her view yesterday about Sarah Palin and the sexist of her own campaign. Listen and Watch

And it keeps coming

More and more proof that McCain's camp didn't do their homework. If they wanted to make Sarah Palin an awesome mom-like person, they would've demolished these pics of the America's daughter, Bristol "I'm barefoot and pregnant" Palin engaging in underage drinking.

I have to admit, I am addicted to Sarah "Sue Ellen Ewing" Palin. What else can she do for entertainment?

Sarah's Family Values

It just keeps getting better and better. The best VP pick ever, Sarah Palin's 17 year-old daughter, Bristol, is not only pregnant but not married. (NOW BRING ON THE BABY'S MAMA JOKES)

McCain knew about it, but didn't care or think.

"Senator McCain knew this and felt in no way did it disqualify her from being vice president," said the aide. "Families have difficulties sometimes, and lucky for her she has a supportive family."

Bristol, is about five months along, in her second trimester.

And here's the kicker

The aide said it was decided the campaign would reveal this information now because of rampant Internet rumors that Sarah Palin's 4-month-old baby, who has Down syndrome, was actually Bristol's.

Got to love that Republican stance on morals and family values. Now, I not knocking on single mothers, I was raised in a single parent home. However, it does dent their values and message.

McCain picks Barbara Gordon as his Veep

So McCain picks Gov. Sarah Palin as his Veep.
Sarah Palin? Who is she?
Well she's...well, not a powerful woman but she's something.

Sarah Palin is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and takes part in two of the state's popular pastimes -- fishing and hunting, according to her biography on the governor's Web site. Palin has focused on energy and natural resources policy during her short stint in office, and she is known for her support of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
And her career stuff is this: Television sports reporter, 1987-89; co-owner, commercial fishing operation, 1988-2007; owner, snow machine, watercraft and all-terrain vehicle business, 1994-97; chairwoman, Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, 2003-2004.

Not much, but she's pro-life and a christian. But seriously, where did he find her? This former beauty queen is not as skilled or aware of the nation. Her experience is lacking and she a unknown outside of Alaska.

McCain's hope of reaching women voters may have fallen short. She represents the woman of the past. Rice would have been the super choice, but this woman? Please, she just another christian soccer mom who runs a state that's darker before dawn. Plus, who you want a Veep, who could be Prez with no experience? She HAS NONE!

McCain, honey, not a good choice. Oh, and she currently under investigation in her own state...shady, shade.

McCain's Veep...I think

I believe that Tim Pawlenty is the Repubs' Veep, because of the recent talks about this man. Wise choice, bad choice...who knows. But I will see if I am right or now
