Liberty Counsel gleefully Supports Roy Moore's Foolishness

Hate group of the 2015 just can't stand quiet. Their leader, Mat Staver, posted his excitement over Roy Moore's lawlessness actions. In their raggedy press release, Mat wrote:
“I applaud Chief Justice Roy Moore for this order reaffirming the marriage law in Alabama. The Alabama Supreme Court issued an order in March 2015 barring probate judges from issuing same-sex marriage licenses after a federal court in January of last year overturned Alabama’s voter-approved constitutional amendment defining marriage as one man and one woman.

“In Alabama and across America, state judiciaries and legislatures are standing up against the federal judiciary or anyone else who wants to come up with some cockeyed view that somehow the Constitution now births some newfound notion of same-sex marriage.

“The opinion of five lawyers on the U.S. Supreme Court regarding same-sex marriage is lawless and without legal or historical support.”

Interesting Quote: Montgomery County Probate Judge Steven Reed

"I think he has jumped the shark at this point. I think it sets a bad example when the chief justice behaves like this. We don't get to pick and choose what laws we follow. ... If he can't follow those laws he ought to step down."
Montgomery County Probate Judge Steven Reed on Roy Moore's foolishness.

In Alabama: Roy Moore issues order Blocking Same-Sex Marriage Licenses

This fool is still trying it.

He's issuing an administrative order because of the confusion from the U.S. Supreme Court case of Obergefell vs. Hodges. Confusion? Girl, there's no confusion at all, but anywho, he writes:
"Many probate judges are issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in accordance with Obergefell; others are issuing marriage licenses only to couples of the opposite gender or have ceased issuing all marriage licenses."
He also stated:
"Until further decision by the Alabama Supreme Court, the existing orders of the Alabama Supreme Court that Alabama probate judges have a ministerial duty not to issue any marriage license contrary to the Alabama Sanctity of Marriage Amendment or the Alabama Marriage Protection Act remain in full force and effect."

Interesting Quote: Roy Moore

"William Barret Travis from Conecuh County, Alabama, came to draw a line in the sand at the Alamo. He took a stand in the face of an enemy that was far more numerous, but he knew that he had to make a statement for the people of Texas and that he would give his life. I hope I don’t give my life, but I’m going to tell you this is a very serious matter. There’s today another threat not only in Texas and Alabama, but across our country where state and federal court judges have overruled constitutional amendments passed by the people of those states, and people have just sat by and watched it out of fear of the federal government. But nothing in the Constitution of the United States, nothing in the laws or precedence of the federal courts give federal courts any authority over domestic policy of family and marriage in the state of Texas, in the state of Alabama, or anywhere else."
He hopes his battle against us, won't kill him

3-Peat! Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore's Son Busted for Drug Possession

Help me with this, please?

How can you preach about family values, in fact, you halt gay marriage and set the state of Alabama back a 100 years for the honor of family values... And  your raggedy son gets arrested for the third time.

Not one, not two by three times!

Let's get to the story. Caleb Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. According to AL.com, there was a report of a break-in and when the cops arrived, they found Caleb and 4 other guys chillin' and smelling like marijuana.

Again, this is the third time Boo Boo Puppy been arrested for some drug possession. The first time he was arrested was back in 2011, and later in 2013. At that time, Caleb said:
"I've done nothing more than any other college kids. Because of who I am, it gets blown out of proportion. Since then I've got in a closer walk with the Lord. Whatever anyone says about me, it doesn't bother me. The people who know me and know what's true can really see what's going on here and see through critics of my dad."
Well, I guess he hasn't been walking close enough with thee, because he's still making these bad choices. Oh well.

NOM's House Negroes Honor Roy Moore with a MLK Award

Bill Owens, President of CAAP

NOM's front group, Coalition of African American Pastors, has the nerve to honor Roy Moore for his ignorance stance on gay marriage in Alabama.

In fact, they want to give him some made up award inspired by MLK.

This is from their press release:

Today, the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) announced that Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore would receive their first ever “Letter from Birmingham Jail Courage Award” in recognition of Justice Moore’s principled stand in defense of traditional marriage.

The group was moved to honor Chief Justice Moore following his defense of Alabama’s statutory and constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. Moore’s actions were based on the fact that the federal court does not have the power to redefine marriage in direct opposition to legal tradition and the clearly expressed will of the people. His courage and conviction persuaded CAAP that Chief Moore was the ideal honoree for the inaugural presentation of an award inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous letter.

“Chief Justice Moore is an example for all of us,” stated Rev. William Owens, President of CAAP. “By making a principled and persuasive stand for marriage, Chief Justice Moore has singled himself out as someone who is ready to defend our most cherished values and help lead this new civil rights movement. By his words and courageous actions, he has helped preserve marriage, the family, justice, and the spirit of democracy. This is what it means to be a ‘Letter from Birmingham Jail Courage Award’ recipient. We hope that his example inspires others to take similar action to defend marriage in their own communities.”

The group announced that they plan to present the Letter from Birmingham Jail Courage Award to Justice Moore in a special ceremony in April.

Roy Moore cartoons are like potato chips. You can't eat -- or draw -- just one.

Ol' Roy loves the spotlight. Loves the attention ... loves the ink. I know this. I've tried to look the other way, tried to show restraint. I've tried to gin up enthusiasm for other subjects. I will move on, eventually.

But now that the Mississippi KKK has shown their love for Alabama's chief justice in his disdain for gay marriage ...? Well, hell. Let's grab the crayons and tear open another bag of Lay's.

They're a lovely power couple, right?

The KKK issues ‘Call To Arms’ over Marriage Equality in Alabama

This is the 60s all over again!

The KKK issued this statement

The Mississippi Klan salutes Alabama's chief justice Roy Moore, for refusing to bow to the yoke of Federal tyranny. The Feds have no authority over individual States marriage laws. The fudgepackers from Hollywood and all major news networks are in shock that the good people from the heart of Dixie are resisting their Imperialist, Communist Homosexual agenda!

Alabama has a Constitutional amendment, that clearly says marriage is defined as being between a man and a woman. But much as they have since the 2nd war for independence was lost in 1865, the Federal Government by way of it's foreign masters seems set to push this abomination, on the God fearing people of Alabama. Will they send Jack Booted thugs to enforce it? Remains to be seen, but a simple study of history will show they once burned, destroyed and looted the state of Alabama. Georgia was burned almost to the ground, and in our state, Meridian Mississippi was destroyed by blue bellied sledgehammers in one day.

We call upon all Klansman and White Southern Nationalist to help in the massive protest's coming, Not by wearing your colors, but by joining in with the Christian community's protests that are surly coming against tyranical Federal judges. We have made the decision that we don't want to distract attention away from the issue, as anytime the Klan rides, we are made the issue by the zionist controlled media. Members are encouraged to lend a hand, make signs, recruit etc., but leave any insignia, colors, shirts etc at the house. We want to infiltrate these protests and make sure they are kept running in military fashion and not bullied by the outside agitators.

Let today be the day, that the outside forces that have ruled this nation since the end of the War of Northern Aggression be given notice, "The God fearing White man will no longer stand for your immorality, your Illegal unjust judges and laws. Your attempts to turn us into a third world cesspool must be defeated. Unlike the 1950's and 60's we see you clearly for the enemy you are. Until we drive the spear of God and truth through your lying cold black hearts, the Klan will leave the light on for you."

In Alabama: Two Probate Judges will not issue Same-Sex Marriage Licenses

The drama is real in Alabama...

Multiple Alabama probate judges have decided to stop offering courthouse gay marriage ceremonies until the state ban officially becomes unconstitutional on Monday.

However, a few of them are completely off course and plan to defy the law. Judge Ben Bowden and Wes Allen are being assholes and believe their religion gives them the right to do so. Bowden has stated that he will not issue any gay marriage licenses on Monday, because his personal or religious beliefs.

He said:
"I have concluded that I have a duty to uphold Alabama law until a court with authority over me directs me otherwise. The United States Supreme Court has agreed to hear and rule on a very similar case from another state this summer. I look forward to getting a definitive answer as soon as possible."

Bowden said he's also following instructions from chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court Roy Moore. Moore handed down guidance to the state's probate judges in a 27-page memorandum Tuesday.

Moore said marriage is a state issue, and he does not feel the lower federal courts, in this case the Southern District Court of Alabama, have the authority to overrule Alabama law. Moore says the only people affected by this ruling are those who are named in the case.
Then, this bastard, Pike County Probate Judge Wes Allen cites some code to justify his actions:
Allen cited Alabama Code Section 30-1-9, which states “Marriage licenses may be issued by the judges of probate of the several counties.” He said the word "may" doesn't require him to issue marriage licenses.

Allen also cited the Alabama Religious Freedom Amendment in the Alabama Constitution, which states that “Government shall not burden a person's freedom of religion.”

“I believe that the Alabama Constitution and federal law protect my right to both live my life as a Christian and perform my elected duties,” Allen stated. “The way that the law allows me to do that is by giving me the discretion to end the issuance of marriage licenses and that is the legal course I am taking.”

Get it together, Judges. Your job is to uphold the law! Do your job! I hope some groups sue these fools on Monday.

New Cartoon covers the Gay Marriage Issue in Alabama

It's getting interesting in Alabama.

Today, on AL.com, is an comic that depicts the gay marriage issue in the state.
In the fight against gay marriage, Gov. Bentley, Attorney General Luther Strange and Chief Justice Roy Moore are a farce to be reckoned with. Alabama's most powerful, brave and cuddly men are representing Alabama's best interests and fears by making a three-way stand in the courthouse door on an equal rights issue. What could go wrong?
This isn't the first time Alabama had issues with equal rights. George Wallace did everything he could to keep Black people from being treated as equals. Now, we are seeing this mess again, only this time it's against the LGBT community. Get it together, Alabama, the nation is watching.

Brian Brown supports Roy Moore over Alabama's Gay Marriage Battle

Guess who's supporting Superbigot Judge Roy Moore? Well, Brian Brown, of course.

He wrote a long blog post on why folks should get behind this horrid judge. Here's some of it:

We need to stand up to this kind of bullying whenever we encounter it, but especially when it comes dressed up in the robes of the state authority. Indeed, then we shouldn't call it merely bullying at all, but assign it the true name it deserves: tyranny.

Tyranny is precisely the word, for example, to describe the rash of judicial rulings that has swept across the country since the Windsor decision in summer of 2013 that overturned part of the Defense of Marriage Act. And that's not just my opinion: it's also the opinion of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama, the Honorable Roy Moore.

Justice Moore sent a letter to Alabama's Governor, Robert Bentley, this week urging him to "continue to uphold and support the Alabama Constitution with respect to marriage, both for the welfare of [the state of Alabama] and for our posterity."

Moore's letter came in the wake of a ruling by a federal judge in Alabama that claimed the state's "Sanctity of Marriage Amendment" is supposedly unconstitutional. The amendment was approved by 81% of voters in just 2006, winning every county in the State. The judge's decision is currently stayed pending review by higher courts.

Moore encouraged Governor Bentley: "Be advised that I stand with you to stop judicial tyranny and any unlawful opinions issued without constitutional authority" [emphasis added].

Marriage Supporter, this is the kind of principled stand we need more of our public officials to take—and we need to take such a stand ourselves, too.

The cause of religious liberty will be heating up around the country this year, with various state-based legislation being rolled out in coming weeks to try to protect our first freedoms against attacks and usurpations by out-of-touch politicians out to placate special interest groups.

Get a life, Brian.
