Liberty Counsel gleefully Supports Roy Moore's Foolishness

Hate group of the 2015 just can't stand quiet. Their leader, Mat Staver, posted his excitement over Roy Moore's lawlessness actions. In their raggedy press release, Mat wrote:

“I applaud Chief Justice Roy Moore for this order reaffirming the marriage law in Alabama. The Alabama Supreme Court issued an order in March 2015 barring probate judges from issuing same-sex marriage licenses after a federal court in January of last year overturned Alabama’s voter-approved constitutional amendment defining marriage as one man and one woman.

“In Alabama and across America, state judiciaries and legislatures are standing up against the federal judiciary or anyone else who wants to come up with some cockeyed view that somehow the Constitution now births some newfound notion of same-sex marriage.

“The opinion of five lawyers on the U.S. Supreme Court regarding same-sex marriage is lawless and without legal or historical support.”

Today, Liberty Counsel is launching its thirteenth annual Friend or Foe Christmas Campaign, to make sure Christmas is not censored in public places.

Retailers. As part of the campaign, Liberty Counsel publishes a “Naughty or Nice” list which applauds retailers who acknowledge the reason for the season, and exposes those who do not.

“Over the last thirteen years, we have seen the tremendous growth of the ‘Nice List,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. “While the culture has grown increasingly secular, I am happy to report that retailers are returning to the Spirit of Christmas,” he said.

The first post on Liberty Counsel’s 2015 Retailer’s Naughty Nice List is an example: “Good news! AC Moore went from just 64 mentions of Christmas on its website last year, to over 290 this year! The craft store’s use of the generic term ‘holiday’ decreased by a third. Last year’s ‘Merry Mason Jars’ are this year’s ‘Christmas Mason Jars.’ The alliteration might not be as sweet, but the sentiment is sweeter!”

Government organizations. “While retailers are responding to customers and keeping with Christmas, public officials in schools and county offices are often cowering to grinch-like atheist organizations threatening lawsuits,” Staver pointed out. Again this year, Liberty Counsel is defending Christmas carols sung in public schools and nativity scenes displayed on public property.

“Celebrating Christmas is still legal in schools, public places, and private businesses. If your town or organization receives a letter demanding that Christmas be censored, call Liberty Counsel,” Staver cautioned. “Liberty Counsel has successfully educated and litigated many of these cases,” Staver concluded.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò should be FIRED

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò is the man who arranged Pope Francis’meeting with Kim Davis. Vigano is also known to have ties with the Liberty Counsel and NOM. After the Vatican revealed the true nature of this meeting, folks are looking at Carlo. The New York Times claims that Carlo is “likely to be removed at the first respectable opportunity” because of his actions.

Personally, he should be fired. Trying to create this political agenda almost tarnished the Pope's visit to America. The truth eventually came out, but at what cost? Why did Carlo think this was okay? And why did he think he would get away with it?

The media has slammed this shameless act and the Vatican is nothing to f**k with, so I think Carlo is finished. His methods clearly undermined why the Pope was here. Trying to glorify Kim Davis only made her look foolish, and Carlo, a terrible person who's abusing his title and responsibilities.

So this came out yesterday evening.

The site used in these tweets is not legit. It just a regular blog, and notice... No pictures, no video. You know, after being called out for lies and false claims you would think Liberty Counsel would provide some proof.

I mean, if I met Diana Ross, I would have video, Beta, pictures... The works.

Update, the Vatican confirms there was a meeting but no details.

Liberty Counsel begs Alabama Supreme Court to Stop Gay Marriage

Today, Liberty Counsel is asking the Alabama Supreme Court to join Chief Justice Moore in ordering all probate judges to refrain from recognizing marriage inconsistent with the Alabama Constitution, namely same-sex marriage licenses.

Liberty Counsel’s petition is in response to a US District Court ruling late Monday afternoon in a contempt case against the Honorable Don Davis. When the probate judge followed the law and did not issue same-sex marriage licenses, homosexual couples asked Judge Granade to hold Judge Davis in contempt. The US District Court agreed with Chief Justice Moore and ruled that the federal court injunction does not apply to any of the probate judges.
