It looks like Channing Tatum will be Gambit.
In a recent interview with Total Film, X-Men Producer Lauren Shuler Donner mentioned that Channing was pretty much set in the role.
Fans are mixed about the casting, and I admit, I am too. However, Channing may pull it off. I don't mind watching his fine self as Remy.

He's handsome enough but can he pull off the Cajun accent?
I'm not sure he'll be able to come off quick witted and cajun.
