Black LGBT people who feel they need religion (or "spirituality" as they say nowadays) can create their own affirming churches/places of worship. They can have "church" in their own living rooms.

Here's what I find interesting. It's true most of the music, etc. that is part of Christian churches was gay men.

And if you want the holy grandaddy - go check out a Catholic service sometime. If that whole thing wasn't dreamed up by gay men I'd be shocked. The vestments and dress, the props, organ etc. It's impressive as hell.

And I think Tallulah Bankhead summed it up nicely in reference to Cardinal Spellman she said "Darling I love your drag but your purse is on fire!"
