Vampires are depicted as long lived, nearly immortal, and animalistic in sexuality. So for them, the idea of feeding, or love, being restricted to a certain sex would be silly.

My first thought to the 'Losing Patience' people is boo hoo-- if I had changed channels every time hetero sex was shown, what the hell would I have ever seen?
Also, if you have read the books, you know that the only thing that 'sticking to the books' would do is make the show a lot worse.
Well, I for one have never seen a graphic act of male gay sex or an open mouthed gay kiss on this show. Discuss.
