Interesting Quote: Henry Rollins

Bad News for the Haters Dept.: You realize that all those obnoxious 16-year-olds you see everywhere, texting their friends who are standing next to them, will be able to vote in the 2016 elections. Do you think you will be able to sell them on your anti-gay/anti-woman/anti-brown/black platform? Do you think they want to end up like you? I bet they don't. Gov. Bobby Jindal said that you all have to stop being the stupid party. I don't think you can do it. How did equality become political? Because you can't handle science, change or the truth. America is on the move, you are not.

Black LGBT Reaction to the DOMA Ruling - WATCH

FYI, I'm in this clip

Lesbian & Gay Bi-National Couples are eligible for Green Cards

After the death of DOMA, bi-national gay couples got some good news. They will be able to apply for green cards on the behalf of their international partners. That's good, or at least a strong step in the right direction.

Again, these couples will receive immigration benefits, which includes green cards.

With green cards, these couples and families can actually be together. This completely changes the game for married gay and lesbian bi-national couples.

But there's still more to do on this front, but now some of the weight will be lifted.

Tony Perkins: US Not Sodom and Gomorrah...Yet

Tony is crying over the SCOTUS decision

I was a part Gay History

Yesterday, I got to speak to a huge group of people during the Decision Day event in Los Angeles/WeHo. It was truly an inspiring moment.

Seeing the faces and listening the stories about marriage, love and hope was what I needed to hear. I felt very honored to be a part of history yesterday. Who would have thought we would be talking about the end od DOMA and Prop 8.

Hell, who would've thought I would be on stage, speaking about Black voices and the continuing fight for equality.

Who knew.

Interesting Quote: Bishop Harry Jackson

God has given us a blueprint for how to have success in the earthly realm. He’s given us an architectural plan of how to heal the barren places in urban America. He says that marriage between a man and a woman will heal the desert places in urban America. Ghettos will be revitalized if one man, one woman families are the order of the day. When a man and a woman are in the house, poverty is lessened. When a man and a woman are in the house, kids don’t go to prison. When a man and a woman are in the house, there’s less domestic violence. When a man and a woman are in the house, sexual abuse does not happen.
So sexual abuse doesn't happen in Straight families? Somebody call a doctor, because Harry is crazy.
