Abercrombie & Fitch wants 'The Situation' to stay out of their Clothes

This is some unnecessary drama right here. A&F will pay Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino not to wear their items. They feel that he does not represent their (failing, losing money, racist) look.

Here's more on the story:

I do agree that Mike looks a mess in Ed Hardy (the another failing fashion trend), maybe Old Navy can help him.

Question of the Day

Who is STILL watching the Jersey Shore? No wonder why we were downgraded.

MTV is looking for more Minorities to Shame

MTV is truly trying to update the minstrel show aspect.

Now, they are looking for Persians, Asians and Russians to exploit.

"Looking for interesting, attractive, colorful Asian-Americans to cast in a reality show similar to 'Jersey Shore,' 'Real World,' 'The Hills,' etc. . ." the notice reads.

"We need attractive Asian-Americans with lively, strong and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to share, especially individuals who know about and/or experienced the Koreatown life."

Casting isn't limited strictly to Asian-Americans either.

"If you are not Asian but are obsessed with Asian culture or people in some way, email us and please explain," it said.

A Sign of the Apocalypse: Jersey Shore XXX (NSFW)

America's updated version of Amos 'n Andy (Jersey Shore) has intrigued the nation.

And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, a porno has been made in its honor.

Good Lord! I must consult with spirits of Greyskull in these troubled times.

Jersey Shore may get Shut Down

Labeled as a modern day minstrel show, Jersey Shore, is getting heat from the NJ lawmakers!

The latest criticism comes from the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus, which says the show promotes derogatory ethnic stereotypes and is "wildly offensive."

In a letter sent Tuesday to the president of Viacom, MTV's parent company, caucus chairman Joseph Vitale asks that the show be immediately taken off the air.

The state lawmakers also have asked advertisers to boycott the show, which focuses on eight tanned 20-somethings and their escapades in Seaside Heights, a popular New Jersey beach town.

On Wednesday, a Viacom spokesman referred a request for comment to an MTV spokesperson, who did not immediately respond. MTV has said its intention is not to stereotype or offend.

Wow, it's interesting how this show is getting hounded. I can't blame them, the show is horrible! I wonder if they will succeed with shutting it down.

UPDATE: Dell (computer peeps) has pulled their ads from the show.

Maybe I should start sucking Pickles

Great Hera, this is proof that this "show" won't go away.

One, the show has high ratings:
Ratings for the third week of “Jersey Shore” continued the buzzworthy MTV series’ upward trend, further establishing the reality series as a hit performer for the network.

The episode jumped to a viewership total of 2.5 million with a 1.4 in adults 18-49. The female 18-34 demographic number was a solid 2.2.

Two, the main girl, Snooki will make decent bank for appearances:
Snooky, everyone's favorite star from everyone's favorite television show, has representation from Neon Entertainment, handling everything from her press inquiries and requests for personal appearances, to spelling her name wrong. So just how much will it cost you to have Snooky appear at your sister's birthday party, for example? NYC The Blog inquired via email, and Scott, “El Presidente” at Neon Entertainment, fielded our request. He replied: “Her price is 2000 + transportation.
Am I in the wrong field?

Another Reason why Jersey Shore should die

Besides being degrading to Italians and Jersey, nobody is hot or cute to watch on this show.

Okay that's not the real reason... kind of, but not the real reason.

But this part is

Brad Ferro, a school teacher, popped Snooki (that's her name) in the face. He was arrested after his foolishness.

I know my Housewives from ATL is crazy, but this is over done.

MTV, please lock this up.
