My Rant on Officials Blaming Mayor De Blasio, Al Sharpton and the Peaceful Protesters over the NYPD Shootings

The aftermath of the NYPD shootings were very interesting to watch.

Immediately after the murders, people put the blame on Mayor Bill De Blasio, the Eric Garner Protesters and Rev. Al Sharpton. Seriously, they did. But who are they? Well, let's get started.

Since Mayor De Blasio got into office, many in the NYPD ranks were not fans, as well as conservative leaders. After Eric Garner's murderer was cleared, the mayor spoke out on the history of violence and tension between the Black community, NYPD and the country. Also Al led a march in NYC focusing on the same issues as well last weekend.

Quickly, conservatives and disgruntled cops used all of that against them. See here:

Then, the president of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, Pat Lynch start clowning

Then this childish mess during the major's press conference

Real talk, NYPD Cops... Get over yourselves!

I understand that some of you are mad, but seriously, recognize the truth and history that has brought us here today. Yes, there is bad history between the community and the cops. Mayor De Blasio spoke the truth, Al Sharpton spoke the truth and right now, y'all can't handle it! There is tension, and it's been there for decades! Blaming others for calling it out and trying to change it is very silly.

Turning your back on the mayor is disrespectful and very telling about who you are as cops. To me, you proved that when it gets rough, you can't deal with it and act like teen-aged boys full of cum and rage. What happened to the cops were NOT the fault of  the mayor, Al or the protesters.

This is deeper than that. This is what happens when a system is flawed and broken. This is what happens when oppression is alive and well. This is what happens no one wants to tackle the racial issues boiling on the fire.

I'm not supporting what happened, but I am acknowledging the reality of where we are now. The cops need to embrace that there has been major issues going on. And they should be open to fixing it, not turning their backs, and ignoring the actions and issues that got us here.

Learn the history and accept the truth. It's tough, but it's the only way we can more forward.

Investors’ Business Daily posts an Al Sharpton Lynching Cartoon

Investors’ Business Daily posted this a political cartoon about the Zimmerman case. As you can see, they are taking a dig at Rev. Al Sharpton.

This cartoon points out incidents or cases Al Sharpton has been a part of. I guess they're saying he's the caused all of this.

Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu promises to Deny New Gun Laws

This sorry gay man says he will deny the new gun laws from President Obama, even wrote a letter telling him, “You are not a dictator or a king, who can act unilaterally and ignore our legislative process of law making.”

Well, Rev. Al had some words about that

Al Sharpton Reads Gun Appreciation Day Chairman Larry Ward about Slavery reference

Al said:
"Do you understand how despicable it would be to members of his family that saw their father killed by gun fire for you to say that you are in some way continuing his legacy on King weekend by doing Gun Appreciation Day, when he preached against that and died from a bullet wound? Then to say that there wouldn't be slavery if slaves had the right to guns? Slaves didn't have any rights. They didn't have the right to marry; they didn't have the right to name their own children... Why would they have rights to guns?"

Gay Right Groups and NAACP join together to deal with 'Stop and Frisk'

'Stop and Frisk' is a messy ordeal. It's big in major cities like NYC and Baltimore. If fact, it's been reported that the New York Police Department has stopped and questioned over 684,000 people; most of them were people of color.

Once this news got out, groups (Gay and straight) got together to plan a protest.

The Washington Post has the scoop
Gay rights groups are speaking out in support of a silent march being held later this month to protest the New York Police Department’s street stop policy.

Representatives from groups including Empire State Pride Agenda and Human Rights Campaign joined the Rev. Al Sharpton and National Association for the Advancement of Colored People president Benjamin Todd Jealous at an event Tuesday announcing they’d take part in the June 17 march.
I hope this is televised.

Rev. Al Sharpton Joins MSNBC for Real

The Rev. is joining MSNBC and hopefully bringing the sass and frass to America.

Deadline reports:
MSNBC today named Al Sharpton as host of PoliticsNation, a new hourlong program topped by the civil rights activist and minister that will air weeknights at 6 PM ET, kicking off the network’s evening schedule. MSNBC president Phil Griffin made the announcement about the show, on which Sharpton “will lead a lively and informed discussion of the top headlines, bringing viewers his take on events in his signature style.” It debuts Monday.
I hope this is good. Rev. Al is realist and I love that about him.

Interesting Quote: Pat Buchanan

"I was asked who was the big losers in these battles and the big winners, and I said one of the big losers, using boxing terminology, was 'your boy,' and I meant the president of the United States. Rev. Sharpton said my boy is the president of the United States and he's doing a rope-a-dope in the Ali fashion and he's going to finish off your crowd. Now this was taken, some folks took what I said as some kind of slur. None was meant, none was intended, none was delivered, for the record."
Pat clarifies the"Your Boy, Obama" statement.

Interesting Quote: Rev. Al Sharpton

"There is something immoral and sick about using all of that power to not end brutality and poverty, but to break into people's bedrooms and claim that God sent you. It amazes me when I looked at California and saw churches that had nothing to say about police brutality, nothing to say when a young black boy was shot while he was wearing police handcuffs, nothing to say when they overturned affirmative action, nothing to say when people were being [relegated] into poverty, yet they were organizing and mobilizing to stop consenting adults from choosing their life partners.

"I am tired of seeing ministers who will preach homophobia by day, and then after they're preaching, when the lights are off they go cruising for trade...We know you're not preaching the Bible, because if you were preaching the Bible we would have heard from you. We would have heard from you when people were starving in California--when they deregulated the economy and crashed Wall Street you had nothing to say. When [accused Ponzi scammer] Madoff made off with the money, you had nothing to say. When Bush took us to war chasing weapons of mass destruction that weren't there you had nothing to say. But all of a sudden, when Proposition 8 came out, you had so much to say, but since you stepped in the rain, we're going to step in the rain with you."
