Koch Brothers chooses Scott Walker as their GOP Fave

Well, the Koch Brothers have found their golden child. While they are not fully endorsing anyone, they have noted that this guy is their favorite.

That guy is Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin. Surprised? Yes and no.

I thought they would have found someone we haven't talked about recently. Someone who's CLEAN, free from scandal and silly statements. Also, I thought they would be daring and go for Marco Rubio or someone of color. You know, completely shake it up and taunt their 'Kingmaker' cred, but nope, they picked Dummy Smurf as their GOP Master of the Universe.

During last night's fund-raising event for the New York State Republican Party, David Koch teased about Scott getting the nomination and how he should be the one. Scott was reportedly modest about the praise, but it must've felt good to have the Kings of White Privilege crown you.

But please keep in mind that none of Koch's favorites make it to the top.

Billionaire David Koch says he’s a social liberal

Here’s a joke for you. Billionaire David Koch says he’s a social liberal! No, I’m not playing with you, that’s what he said. In an interview with Barbara Walter for her special “The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014″, he said:
I’m basically a libertarian, and I’m a conservative on economic matters, and I’m a social liberal.”
Here’s more:
Koch, who supports abortion rights and gay marriage, said he isn’t concerned with candidates he supports who don’t share some of his views. He said his primary concern when choosing a candidate to support is their fiscal policies.
“What I want these candidates to do is to support a balanced budget,” he said. “I’m very worried that if the budget is not balanced that inflation could occur and the economy of our country could suffer terribly.”
Okay, what he said makes no sense. None of his candidates are not budge savvy, if anything, they will fu*ck stuff up. If he’s such a social liberal, I would like to see him give money to candidates who support real social change.

The Koch brothers show No Love for Gov. Rick Scott

This is a shock to the system. The Koch brothers' organization, Americans for Prosperity, spoke out against Florida Gov. Rick Scott for being an asshole on Obamacare.

Recently, Rick decided to go against the interest of the people and refuse Obamacare for the state.

Americans for Prosperity responded to his actions:
In a statement, AFP said that Scott's recent signal that he was willing to consider implementing key provisions of President Barack Obama's health care reform law was a step in the wrong direction.

"AFP is extremely disappointed in leaders in Florida suggesting that the Sunshine State should create a health insurance exchange” said Slade O’Brien, AFP’s Florida State Director. “An exchange will increase insurance premiums on consumers and taxes on hardworking families. Florida’s best intentions will be masked by the federal government’s onerous requirements.”
Seems that Rick Scott is losing his appeal. He better be careful or he may end up jobless and ruined in a matter of months.

Rich Folks to Mitt Romney: The common person don't get it

During the Romney's super rich fundraiser in the Hamptons, Mittens got some interesting feedback from his supporters.

LA Times reports:

A money manager in a green Jeep said it was time for Romney to "up his game and be more reactive." So far, said the donor (who would not give his name because he said it would hurt his business), Romney has had a "very timid offense."

A New York City donor a few cars back, who also would not give her name, said Romney needed to do a better job connecting. "I don't think the common person is getting it," she said from the passenger seat of a Range Rover stamped with East Hampton beach permits. "Nobody understands why Obama is hurting them.

"We've got the message," she added. "But my college kid, the baby sitters, the nails ladies -- everybody who's got the right to vote -- they don't understand what's going on. I just think if you're lower income -- one, you're not as educated, two, they don't understand how it works, they don't understand how the systems work, they don't understand the impact."
I love how some of them won't give their names because it will hurt their businesses.
