10 Reasons why Black Friday is the Real Life Hunger Games

Black Friday is the new Hunger Games when you think about it. The crazy shopping spree has fooled millions and sad part is folks continue to fall for this 'Tournament of the Poors'.

Here's a fact for you: if you wait until new year's day, the prices fall even more.

But, anywho, here are my reasons:
  1. The companies, like the Capitol, has fooled folks into thinking they are doing something good.
  2. Shoppers are reduced to their primal states to get that deal (Like Cato and Clove)
  3. The ads and commercials push the sales just like Caesar Flickerman.
  4. Folks who camp outside the stores are basically volunteering for tribute.
  5. The stores become the arena.
  6. The rich are just like the folks in the Capitol, they don't have, or need to participate.
  7. Like the Hunger Games, Black Friday happens every year.
  8. And just like the competitors, the shoppers think they are getting a deal of their lives.
  9. People have died in both arenas.
  10. Thanks to Youtube, these 'games' are televised.

Interesting Quote: Josh Hutcherson

“I would probably list myself as mostly straight. Maybe I could say right now I’m 100% straight. But who knows? In a f**king year, I could meet a guy and be like, Whoa, I’m attracted to this person. I’ve met guys all the time that I’m like, Damn, that’s a good-looking guy, you know? I’ve never been, like, Oh, I want to kiss that guy. I really love women. But I think defining yourself as 100% anything is kind of near-sighted and close-minded.”

Interesting Quote: Stephen King

“I read Twilight and didn’t feel any urge to go on with her. I read The Hunger Games and didn’t feel an urge to go on. It’s not unlike The Running Man, which is about a game where people are actually killed and people are watching: a satire on reality TV. I read Fifty Shades Of Grey and felt no urge to go on. They call it mommy porn, but it’s not really mommy porn. It is highly charged, sexually driven fiction for women who are, say, between 18 and 25. But a golden age of horror? I wouldn’t say it is. I can’t think of any books right now that would be comparable to The Exorcist.”
