50 Shades of Grey sells out in the Deep South... Go Figure

Funny how this plays out. The softcore film, 50 Shades of Grey is sold out in the most bigoted parts of the US.

Rawstory gives us the scoop
Ticket sales for the movie, which opens Thursday, are particularly strong in Arkansas, Kentucky, and Mississippi – with pre-show sales three or four times higher than average, reported the Washington Post.

Opening day shows are already sold out in Tupelo, Mississippi, Florence, Kentucky, and Chattanooga, Tennessee, the newspaper reported.

Audiences are also eager to see the film — which depicts a master-and-servant sexual relationship between a college student and a businessman — in Alabama, Iowa, Louisiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

With the exception of Iowa and West Virginia, all of those states are among the remaining 13 where same-sex marriage is banned through constitutional amendment and state law.
Of course the most repressed, conservative, religious places crave to see Jamie Dornan's dick..

Interesting Quote: Stephen King

“I read Twilight and didn’t feel any urge to go on with her. I read The Hunger Games and didn’t feel an urge to go on. It’s not unlike The Running Man, which is about a game where people are actually killed and people are watching: a satire on reality TV. I read Fifty Shades Of Grey and felt no urge to go on. They call it mommy porn, but it’s not really mommy porn. It is highly charged, sexually driven fiction for women who are, say, between 18 and 25. But a golden age of horror? I wouldn’t say it is. I can’t think of any books right now that would be comparable to The Exorcist.”

Arrow's Stephen Amell says NO to 50 Shades Of Grey

There were rumors that Stephen would be the asshole character in 50 Shades of Grey, but after reading it, he said no.

I think any of the main roles from this book will kill a career. Just say no, folks.
