Gay Muslim experiences Racist Mess on Grindr

After the attacks on Paris, we've seen some racist crap coming from all over. And if you're Muslim, it's not good. Now, imagine if you're gay, Muslim and on Grindr.

22-year-old Anthony Magallanaz posted ‘I loved you in the winter’ in Arabic. Once silly fools saw this, ignorance took over.

See here:

So stupid.

Former Knicks Draft Pick Michael Wright Murdered, possibly from a Grindr Hook-Up!

Good Lord...

I just learned that former Arizona Wildcat/ Knicks draft pick, Michael Wright was murdered in the back of his Lexus SUV. Police believes he was killed by a man he met on Grindr.

Here's more:
Wright was found dead from a head wound inside his Lexus SUV on E. 16th St. in Midwood about 11 a.m. Tuesday, officials said. His body was covered in black garbage bags.

Autopsy results had not been released Wednesday evening, but police are investigating his death as a homicide, law enforcement sources said.

Michael Wright, a former Arizona Wildcat who had been drafted by the Knicks and recently was playing overseas, was found dead Tuesday in his SUV in Brooklyn.
Wright’s grieving family was left bewildered.

“We are in disbelief,” Wright’s cousin Randolph Berry, 40, of Chicago told the News. “They’re telling us it’s foul play. His mom is on her way to New York now.”

Berry said he didn’t know why someone would hurt his cousin, who on the court was an imposing 6-foot-8 power forward.

“He’s a gentle giant,” Berry said. “He was a good person.”
Hopefully, the killer will be found. Be careful with those apps.

Anti-Gay Pastor who was Caught on Grindr almost drove a Gay Teen to Suicide

I think some of you have heard about the pastor named Matthew Makela who has preached against homosexuality and everything else that's not Christian. Well, he was recently outed for being on Grindr.

Yes, there are pictures of him talking about how he basically likes dick, how he likes to cuddle and all that jazz. It's just interesting, because I don't know why he thought that no one recognize him on the hookup app. Anywho, Matthew has been in a lake of fire since his pics has been exposed. In fact, Matthew just resigned from his position.

But it doesn't stop there.

For long time, Matthew preached to young gay kids about how being gay is a sin and the wagers of sin is death, you know, all that brimstone mess they always try to tell you. Well one teen, Taylor Kish, has come out to talk about that experience and how it feels to know that Matthew was gay all along, check it out.

More Drama: HRC Co-Founder Terry Bean used Grindr to meet the 15-Year-Old Boy

Lord, the soap opera drama continues for accused HRC co-founder Terry Bean.

New info reveals that Terry and ex-boyfriend, Kiah Lawson met the minor on Grindr. Quick rewind, Terry is being investigated over trying to hook up with a 15-year-old boy. The ex-boyfriend reported all of this to the cops, however, he's in the mix as well.

Here's more:

Bean and Lawson are accused of setting up an encounter with the teen through the iPhone app Grindr, a mobile social network that helps men find "local gay, bi and curious guys for dating.'' The app advertises, "Meet the men nearest you with GPS.'' Bean, 66, and Lawson, 25, are accused of having sex with the boy at a Eugene hotel on Sept. 27, 2013. A Lane County grand jury indicted both on two counts of third-degree sodomy and one count of third-degree sexual abuse.
On Friday afternoon, Lawson pleaded not guilty to the three-count indictment in Lane County Circuit Court. Bean, who posted bail, is set to appear in court Dec. 3. "The surprising thing to me is Kiah was indicted in this case because it was Kiah who helped authorities find this kid,'' said Jeffrey Dickey, Lawson's attorney at the time. "If someone is going to cooperate and be helpful for the police there should be some kind of reward for that. It could have a chilling effect on others coming forward.''

Here's more on the Bean and Lawson drama:

The Lane County indictments follow a tumultuous relationship between Bean, 66, and Lawson, 25, that unraveled after Lawson discovered Bean had a hidden camera in the bedroom of his Southwest Portland home in the West Hills, according to Dickey.

Lawson had found Bean was surreptitiously videotaping his sexual encounters with Lawson and a handful of other men, Dickey said. The falling out led to each taking out restraining orders against the other earlier this year, and Bean trying to evict Lawson from Bean's Jantzen Beach condo.

Bean and Lawson met in 2013. Soon, Lawson was living in the condo and was paid about $400 a week by Bean, according to Dickey and Lawson's restraining order against Bean. Lawson accompanied Bean on several trips, to his Palm Springs' home, to a meeting with President Obama at the White House, to the Dominican Republic and Italy, Dickey said.

"Kiah was totally sucked into this world with this 'jet setter,''' Dickey said.

Yet jealousies developed, and Lawson one morning went looking through Bean's iPad, left near a nightstand in the bedroom of Bean's West Hills home, Dickey said. Lawson found images from security cameras around the house. He looked further, according to Dickey, and found more images from Bean's bedroom of sexual encounters between him and Bean, and Bean with at least a half-dozen other men.

Here are my questions:
Why was this this boy on Grindr? And did he use his real age?
What kind of rules does Grindr have on minors using the app?
Did the ex realize he was going down too?

I tell you, this mess is too much.

Study: Hook-Up Apps may put at Risk for STIs

If you like Grindr, A4A, Growlr and MISTER, you might want to check this out.

A study by the Los Angeles LGBT Center revealed gay/bisexual men who used these hook-up apps for sex have a higher risk of contracting STIs.

Queerty has the scoop:

For the study, 7,184 men were tested for STI and provided information about their recreational drug use and social networking methods to find potential sexual partners. One-third (34 percent) of the respondents met sexual partners in person only; a slightly smaller proportion (30 percent) used a combination of person-to-person or online dating; and a slightly larger proportion (36 percent) used smartphone apps and/or a combination of previously mentioned methods.
According to the authors, smartphone apps were favored by younger, well-educated men under the age of 40 and by men of white or Asian ethnic backgrounds.

App users were also more likely to use recreational drugs, including cocaine and Ecstasy. There is most definitely not an app for that.

And here’s the kicker:
Guys who use apps to hook up were 25 percent more likely to be infected with gonorrhea and 37 percent more likely to be infected with chlamydia. However, there was no difference in their likelihood of infection with either HIV or syphilis.
“Technology is redefining sex on demand; prevention programs must learn how to effectively exploit the same technology, and keep pace with changing contemporary risk factors for STI and HIV transmission,” researchers write.
As someone who’s recently heard a healthcare provider at a gay clinic reductively refer to gonorrhea as “oh it’s just like getting a cold these days,” this does raise some interesting questions about the cavalier attitudes towards treatable STI in the gay community.

Not cute, I'm sticking with OK Cupid.

10 Reasons Why Grindr may be not Good for Us

Yesterday, there was a new Grindr to download. The minute I heard this, I was already soooo over it and somewhat sad.

This social app has become a quick way for gays to meet, and a quick way to see some of the worst in gay men. The art of conversation is lost with this app and tact... Chile please.

I'm not so sure this Grindr thing is a good thing. So here are my reasons why I'm not a fan.

  1. You are judged strictly by a pic. Everything about you is reduced to how you look in a selfie. When you think about it, you should feel just a tad bit cheap.
  2. Liars are King. Grindr allows folks to lie badly about who they are. Yeah, we all embellish about ourselves from time to time. But here, you don't have to tell the truth. In fact, you can be the person you always want to be.
  3. Conversations are reduced to this :) and this :(.
  4. Racism runs unchecked and cloaked by the belief of preference. To say, you are not into Asians or White guys only is racist.
  5. Some guys believe that a torso or cock shot is the best they have to offer. These same guys will claim that you have to know them in order to judge them.
  6. This app gives guys the right to be mean. Because you are hiding behind an app, doesn't give you the right to hate on someone for fun.
  7. This app dumbs down social skills.
  8. Some guys don't realize that emotions are involved.
  9. Grindr isn't Candy Crush, however guys continue to play with other guys' feelings like a game.
  10. Some guys are basing their worth by what others on Grindr think of them. Remember, these guys are not being honest about themselves. So, to validate yourself from their views isn't a good move.
Some say Grindr is killing the gay bar culture. If that's the case, then we should be worried. If we have to depend on apps like this, will we be able to truly get to know someone?

Grindr survey reveals some Interesting Results

So Grindr did a survey and well, there were some interesting results.

The top priority is the economy, in second place equality and in third place was health care.

76% will vote for Obama and 18% said they are voting Romney.

Of the respondents to Grindr survey: 60% Democrats, 22% are independents, 14% are Republicans and 4% are Libertarians.

The survey was conducted in September with 8,200 Grindr users. I'm surprised about the Romney supporters. Really? Romney? Somebody lay hands on these GOP gays.

Olympic Athletes shut down Grindr

I guess Olympic champions need love too.

Word on the street said the hook-up app Grindr crashed once the Olympic athletes got into London this past weekend.

Mirror News reports
One Londoner said: “It happened almost as soon as the teams got here. Either loads of athletes were logging on to meet fellow Olympians or were looking to bag a local.
“The Grindr system obviously couldn’t cope. It took 24 hours for the app to get back up and running, much to the relief of all concerned.”

The site was launched in 2009 and claims to have four million customers worldwide.
London is the most popular city for the app, with 350,000 registered users. The website advertises itself as a way to find “a new date, buddy or friend”.

Founder Joel Simkhai said in Los Angeles: “I want to personally apologize to users.
“I know it was frustrating. I was frustrated myself. I also rely on Grindr in my day-to-day personal life. It made me feel disconnected.
They got it back up, but for a moment gays may had to do the ancient ritual of talking to someone.
