In Glendale: Retired Cop's Party Mocks the Death of Michael Brown
This happened earlier this week and I'm floored!
At the Elks Lodge in Glendale (which is 7 miles from me) a retired LAPD officer named Joe Myersa held golf charity event. It was a typical event until Gary Fishell, a former federal investigator, sung a song about Michael Brown.
The lyrics are
“Michael Brown learned a lesson about a messin’
With a badass policeman
And he’s bad, bad Michael Brown
Baddest thug in the whole damn town
Badder than old King Kong
Meaner than a junkyard dog.
Two men took to fightin’
And Michael punched in through the door
And Michael looked like some old Swiss cheese
His brain was splattered on the floor
And he’s dead, dead Michael Brown
Deadest man in the whole damn town
His whole life’s long gone
Deader than a roadkill dog.”
TMZ has the video of this mess. The scary part about this whole thing was at least 60 of the guess were cops.
TMZ reports:
Singer Gary Fishell is a P.I. who once worked as an investigator for the Federal Government. His lawyer tells TMZ, Fishell now realizes the song was "off color and in poor taste." The lawyer adds, "He's a goofball who writes funny songs." We asked why Fishell would sing this in a room full of cops, and the lawyer replied, "He thought the room would get a kick out of it."
Joe Myers tells TMZ, "How can I dictate what he [Fishell] says in a song?" Myers goes on, "This is America. We can say what we want. This is a free America." Myers adds ... he's done this as an annual event for decades and has raised a lot of money for charity.
Someone who was at the event videotaped it because they were offended by the song and upset no one was objecting.
A trustee for the Lodge tells TMZ, the dinner was not an Elks Club event ... it was a golf tournament run by Myers and since he was a member he had a right to hold a dinner there.
The trustee tells TMZ many of the hundreds of members of the Glendale Elks Lodge are upset about the song, saying, "It's deplorable and inappropriate and the Lodge will take disciplinary action against [Fishell] and possibly the people who organized this event."
The trustee added, "We don't stand for any racist things like this."

Cliven Bundy: Are Black People 'Better Off As Slaves'
Nevada rancher and conservatives' champion Cliven Bundy is a hot ass mess.
This fool was in a standoff with federal rangers over grazing rights. Since 1993, Cliven let his cattle graze on federal land without paying, now he owes more than $1 million in grazing fees.
When federal agents came to confront Cliven on this bill, he had an armed militia there to support him.
Foolishness all around!
Since then, he has become a hero to Teabaggers and conservatives, thinking he could help lead a movement against Obama and his arrogance.
But before he becomes the next 'Joe The Plumber', they may want to see this clip
yeah, typical

George Zimmerman's father claims that the True Racists are Black Folks
George Zimmerman's father put out an e-book called, “Florida v. Zimmerman: Uncovering the Malicious Prosecution of my Son, George”.
In this book he has a chapter that is so ridic and... A True mess to behold.
Think Progress has the scoop:
The most striking chapter is called “Who Are The True Racists,” an apparent effort to rebut claims that his son’s actions were racially motivated.
Previously, Zimmerman Sr. “believed generally racism was a thing of the past.” He says that, personally, he hadn’t encountered much racism, even though his wife is Hispanic. But after his son shot and killed Trayvon Martin, however, Zimmerman learned that racism is “flourishing at the insistence of some in the African American Community.” He then goes on to list various black leaders and organizations that he believes are racist:
- Congressional Black Caucus. “[A] pathetic, self-serving group of racists… advancing their purely racist agenda.” He later adds that “all members of Congress should be ashamed of the Congressional Black Caucus, as should be their constituents.” And finally: “They are truly a disgrace to all Americans.”
- The NAACP. “[S]imply promotes racism and hatred for their own, primarily finical, interests” and “without prejudice and racial divide, the NAACP would simply cease to exist.”
- NAACP President Benjamin Jealous. “[W]hat I would expect of a racist.”
- Trayvon Martin’s funeral director. A “racial activist and former head of the local NAACP.”
- Benjamin Crump, Natialie Jackson and Darrly Parks, attorneys for Travyon Martin’s family. “The scheme team.”
- The National Basketball Players Association.
- Black Chamber of Commerce.
- National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers.
- National Black United Fund.
Really George Sr.? We are the racists? I am beyond livid at this fool! How can he say that with a straight face? And please, this man don't know racism. If he did, he wouldn't have written this foolish chapter. And who do you think is going to buy this book? Mostly people who believe the stereotypes about us. That chapter is racist in its self.

College Republicans to GOP: You're Closed-Minded, Racist, Rigid, Old-Fashioned
Today, a 95-page scathing study on the GOP will be released. But it's not from progressives or another polling group, it's from college Republicans.
And, it's READS the GOP, hunty.
Titled the “Grand Old Party for a Brand New Generation,” the report is sharply critical of the GOP on several fronts. The study slams some Republicans’ almost singular focus on downsizing Big Government and cutting taxes; candidates’ use of offensive, polarizing rhetoric; and the party’s belly-flop efforts at messaging and outreach, even as the report presents a way forward and, at times, strikes an optimistic tone.
In the report, the young Republican activists acknowledge their party has suffered significant damage in recent years. A sampling of the critique on:
Gay marriage: “On the ‘open-minded’ issue … [w]e will face serious difficulty so long as the issue of gay marriage remains on the table.”
Hispanics: “Latino voters … tend to think the GOP couldn’t care less about them.”
Perception of the party’s economic stance: “We’ve become the party that will pat you on your back when you make it, but won’t offer you a hand to help you get there.”
Big reason for the image problem: The “outrageous statements made by errant Republican voices.”
Words that up-for-grabs voters associate with the GOP: “The responses were brutal: closed-minded, racist, rigid, old-fashioned.”
“[The] Republican Party has won the youth vote before and can absolutely win it again,” the report says, pointing to presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush who were competitive with that demographic. “But this will not occur without significant work to repair the damage done to the Republican brand among this age group over the last decade.”
Without the young vote, the GOP have no legs and if this continues, this party will be toothless and raggedy... Much like the Tea Party.
