Dutch Roman Catholic Church Castrated Boys to get rid of Homosexuality

Dutch journalist Joep Dohmen, reporting for the NRC Handelsblad uncovered ten cases of the castrations, one of which was suffered by Henk Heithuis, who was castrated as a minor for reporting to police sexual abuse by a priest that he endured while in the boarding home.

Although the priests were convicted of the abuses, Heithuis was still transported to a Catholic hospital, and underwent a surgical castration as a treatment for homosexuality and, according to the report, a punishment for tattling on the clergy.

Radio Netherlands Worldwide reports that the new information wasn't included in the large Deetman Commission report published three months ago on sexual abuses in the church -- and furthermore -- that the commission received a complaint about the castrations last year, but claimed there was a "lack of sufficient leads" to warrant an investigation. 

The reports also uncovered minutes of official meetings held in the 1950s, which revealed directors of the Catholic institutions deciding parents did not need to be involved in decisions -- even with minors, Dutch News reports. They also proved government officials were present in meetings where the castrations were discussed.

Catholic Leaders call out Gingrich and Santorum on Racial Rhetoric

Over 40 Catholic leaders sent a letter to Newt the Hut and Rick Santorum to stop being racially divisive in their campaigns.

As Catholic leaders who recognize that the moral scandals of racism and poverty remain a blemish on the American soul, we challenge our fellow Catholics Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum to stop perpetuating ugly racial stereotypes on the campaign trail. Mr. Gingrich has frequently attacked President Obama as a “food stamp president” and claimed that African Americans are content to collect welfare benefits rather than pursue employment. Campaigning in Iowa, Mr. Santorum remarked: “I don’t want to make black people’s lives better by giving them somebody else’s money.” Labeling our nation’s first African-American president with a title that evokes the past myth of “welfare queens” and inflaming other racist caricatures is irresponsible, immoral and unworthy of political leaders.

Some presidential candidates now courting “values voters” seem to have forgotten that defending human life and dignity does not stop with protecting the unborn. We remind Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Santorum that Catholic bishops describe racism as an “intrinsic evil” and consistently defend vital government programs such as food stamps and unemployment benefits that help struggling Americans. At a time when nearly 1 in 6 Americans live in poverty, charities and the free market alone can’t address the urgent needs of our most vulnerable neighbors. And while jobseekers outnumber job openings 4-to-1, suggesting that the unemployed would rather collect benefits than work is misleading and insulting.

As the South Carolina primary approaches, we urge Mr. Gingrich, Mr. Santorum and all presidential candidates to reject the politics of racial division, refrain from offensive rhetoric and unite behind an agenda that promotes racial and economic justice.

This is what religious leaders should be doing, pointing out injustice and inequality. They should make this a high priority instead of hating on us.

This Pope is so ridic. King of demons, Pope Benedict claims gay marriage will threaten humanity... How Sci-Fi of him:

 He told diplomats from nearly 180 countries that the education of children needed proper "settings" and that "pride of place goes to the family, based on the marriage of a man and a woman."

"This is not a simple social convention, but rather the fundamental cell of every society. Consequently, policies which undermine the family threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself," he said.

The Vatican and Catholic officials around the world have protested against moves to legalize gay marriage in Europe and other developed parts of the world.

Nevermind the pedophiles priests or the economic corruption within the church. I guess gay marriage trumps all of that.

A Catholic Church study finds neither Celibacy or Homosexuality is to Blame for Child Abuse

A study on the sexual abuse within the American Catholic Church has some interesting and clarifying news. The results show that the celibate or homosexual priests are no more likely to abuse children than the straight priests.

Discounting a number of theories that have been previously put forward to explain abuse by priests, the researchers conducting the study found only a small minority of abusive priests met the clinical definition of paedophiles.

Instead, researchers concluded priests were under stress and unprepared to deal with the social and sexual turmoil of the 1960s and '70s.

Poor monitoring of men working with children also contributed to the child abuse epidemic, according to the report, which was commissioned by America's Catholic bishops.

For the report, researchers were given unlimited access to the medical and psychological records of priests alleged to have been involved in child sex crimes, including the results of psycho-sexual testing.

This study confirmed that researchers can't identify abusive priests in advance

Gay Rights Activists and Roman Catholics Face Off in Mexico

I saw this coming. After the historic gay rights win in Mexico, religious freaks are falling out, screaming Satan and other lovely words.

Here's the scoop:

Gay rights activists and a group of Roman Catholics in Mexico have yelled insults at each other during dueling demonstrations over same-sex marriage.

Some 200 gay rights activists waved rainbow flags and held signs reading "Thank God I'm gay" at a plaza next to the cathedral in Guadalajara on Sunday.

A similar number of protesters opposed to gay marriage prayed at the cathedral's doors. One of them ripped up a sign held by a gay rights activist, prompting screaming by both sides.

It was the second confrontation in two days in Guadalajara, where Cardinal Juan Sandoval Iniguez stirred controversy by suggesting Mexico's Supreme Court was bribed to uphold a Mexico City law allowing adoptions by homosexual couples.

They just need to get the FRAK over it!

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, stop this Foolishness!

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone is an idiot! He thinks homosexuality is cause of the sex scandals in the Roman Catholic Church!

He said:

"Many psychologists and psychiatrists have demonstrated that there is no relation between celibacy and pedophilia. But many others have demonstrated, I have been told recently, that there is a relation between homosexuality and pedophilia. That is true," said Bertone. "That is the problem."

Come on, Tarcisio! Who are you talking to? You know and we know that's some bullsmack!

If he's going to run around with this mess, I can run around saying heterosexuality causes White males to be serial killers. It makes NO SENSE! To believe or say something so ridic has dangerous and reckless effects.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Washington has the nerve to say that it will not continue their social service programs if D.C. follows through with the same-sex marriage law!

Really? Seriously? These social service programs are very important to the people. They are depending of these programs.

This Archdiocese is willing to jeopardize 1000s of folks for some foolishness! I'm really stunned, I feel like I'm watching The Tudors. Is this God-like? No!

Under the bill, headed for a D.C. Council vote next month, religious organizations would not be required to perform or make space available for same-sex weddings. But they would have to obey city laws prohibiting discrimination against gay men and lesbians.

Fearful that they could be forced, among other things, to extend employee benefits to same-sex married couples, church officials said they would have no choice but to abandon their contracts with the city.

"If the city requires this, we can't do it," Susan Gibbs, spokeswoman for the archdiocese, said Wednesday. "The city is saying in order to provide social services, you need to be secular. For us, that's really a problem."

No, slut, your pride is the problem! Jesus didn't turn anyone away! These folks are blinded by their own mess.
