Brings back childhood memories for me.

I'd say he's finished as a judge. That is child abuse, plain and simple.

But alas, this is Texas and he'll probably not get any punishment for this. Disgusting!

I has to go get my belt of choice. I got discipline too. What makes this look bad is that the world is watching.

Why is this coming to light now? This happened in 2005.

This is disturbing - it was over downloading music? It's so dumb. His career should be over!

As a survivor of child abuse, I am reminded of the feelings of humiliation, betrayal and shame connected to enduring that experience.

I think any parent who believes in corporal punishment should watch a video like this. I honestly don't think some parents realize what they are doing. Especially when they spank out of anger and frustration. They just know it was done to them, so they continue the pattern. I worry not only for this girl's mental well being but also the fact that she may look for a spouse, unconsciously, that evokes feelings of her Father. How abusive a situation would THAT be? And when that happens the Father would actually blame her for not leaving the relationship rather than see the role he played in setting her up to be in that type of relationship. How would the Dad react if he was watching her boyfriend do to her the exact same thing he did when she was younger.

Parenting through fear, pain and domination is a dangerous game. It can heavily set the child up for physical and emotional abuse later on.
