He is right on the mark. Extending the Bush tax cuts would not only be expensive but stupid.
Next we need to focus on getting troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq. Warfare is EXPENSIVE.
I see the U.S. as having the capability to do great things, if only we didn't have corporate interference in government.
Imagine for example if we addressed peak oil as a nation and came up with alternative forms of propulsion, energy, etc. instead of prosecuting two different wars.
What if we could actually improve our crumbling infrastructure?
What if we could improve education?
What if we could give everyone equal rights?
I see the U.S. as suffering from the most massive case of misdirection that has ever been perpetrated.
It's a shame that most Conservative and Republican Americans aren't smart enough to pay attention to anything longer than a 3-second soundbite. The rest are too rich to care, and to President Obama, anything Liberals, Progressives, or Independents say sounds like the teacher from the Peanuts cartoons.
Viktor is a small town southern boy living in Los Angeles. You can find him on Twitter, writing about pop culture, politics, and comics. He’s the creator of the graphic novel StrangeLore and currently getting back into screenwriting.

He is a TRUE American hero. If Bernie Sanders ran for president in 2012, I would vote for him.
