OMG! Michael used to do it for me as a teen. In fact, he was the first star I'd JO to. I feel for him in 'Streets of Fire' and in 'Eddie and the Cruisers'.  But in the film, 'The Women's Club', I was in love. Michael is still in the biz and now, has a hot daddy thing going for him.

Old School Crush: Michael Delorenzo

I used to be in love with Michael Delorenzo way back in the day. I used to imagine he was this streetwise boy who was try to protect me as the country, innocent boy lost in the city (yes, I fantasized a lot as a teen).

There was something about him that kept me drawn to his looks. I fell for him in the dance classic movie, 'Fast Forward' and later 'Fame' the series. I even watched 'New York Undercover' for him.

I've grown out of my crush for Michael, but every once and a while, I die when I see him in Fame.

Old School Crush: Jon Bon Jovi

I can't really explain this, but back in the day, I was in love with Jon Bon Jovi.

Growing up all good ship lollypop like, bad boys like him really melted my M&Ms.

Over the years, I kept my crush for Jon and this particular video made me imagine many, many things about him.










Oh, I also developed a crush on Jack Noseworthy (the blonde guy in the vid) as well.

Want to End DADT? Write Your Congressman

Marches are fun, inspiring and moving, but at the end of the day the old fashion process is key.

We need to write our congress folks and get them to end DADT.

How to do that? Look here:

Your letter should address a single topic or issue. Typed, one-page letters are best. Many PACs (Political Action Committees) recommend a three-paragraph letter structured like this:

1. Say why you are writing and who you are. List your "credentials." (If you want a response, you must include your name and address, even when using email.)
2. Provide more detail. Be factual not emotional. Provide specific rather than general information about how the topic affects you and others. If a certain bill is involved, cite the correct title or number whenever possible.
3. Close by requesting the action you want taken: a vote for or against a bill, or change in general policy.

The best letters are courteous, to the point, and include specific supporting examples.

To Conclude
Here are some key things you should always and never do in writing to your elected representatives.

1. Be courteous and respectful without "gushing."
2. Clearly and simply state the purpose of your letter. If it's about a certain bill, identify it correctly. If you need help in finding the number of a bill, use the Thomas Legislative Information System.
3. Say who you are. Anonymous letters go nowhere. Even in email, include your correct name, address, phone number and email address. If you don't include at least your name and address, you will not get a response.
4. State any professional credentials or personal experience you may have, especially those pertaining to the subject of your letter.
5. Keep your letter short -- one page is best.
6. Use specific examples or evidence to support your position.
7. State what it is you want done or recommend a course of action.
8. Thank the member for taking the time to read your letter.

Never

1. Use vulgarity, profanity, or threats. The first two are just plain rude and the third one can get you a visit from the Secret Service. Simply stated, don't let your passion get in the way of making your point,
2. Fail to include your name and address, even in email letters.
3. Demand a response.

I had a crush on Alfalfa as a young kid (I think at the age of 7), I think he was my 1st crush. I didn't know that he was grown up and dead at the time, but I thought he was a cute pre-teen.

Late Night Cruising

I was thinking about Friday nights in my hometown of Union City, Tn. There wasn't much to do and to save money, we just cruise around town. We would pile up in a car and hit the streets. Sometimes we would drive around our neighborhood, go downtown, hit the main strip, or go to the White side of town (yes it exist).

Gas was super cheap and our conversation consisted of school and silly gossip. Some of my best self discoveries was with a good friend of mine in high school. We would talk about everything and drive around for hours. I was thankful to have him in my life. He made the smalltown life bearable and gave me so much confidence. During those late night drives, I learned more about him, life, and myself. It was some of my best life moments.

Now fast forward 17 years from Tennessee to Cali-Cal. I still love to drive around endlessly. I find it refreshing and soothing. Driving in L.A. is a challenge, but it has it moments. But I miss the days of cruising the small streets and the backwoods roads. There was so much that happened, so much that was revealed. I guess in those short journeys, I was prepared to take bigger ones emotionally and physically.

It's time to shut your mouth, Linda Harvey!

The sad news is HIV is increasing within our gay community; the sadder news is, it's the homosexual student high school organizations fault.

This person known as Linda Harvey believes it's homosexual clubs and other pro-homosexual programs fault that HIV is on the rise. Several articles are talking about this woman, and I just happen to read her editorial, which is a hot mess to me.

She claims that uplifting the pride and self-esteem of LGBT students, will sent them out for hot sex and destroy our families. Really? Is she high? Where does she think of this stuff, on the toilet?

Linda Lee, the students don't come out of these meetings thinking, "We're going to have anal sex today." They are trying to understand their lives and the mess they have to endure once they come out. Yes, they may feel better about having sex, but that's very different from planning to infect someone or get infected.

Linda needs to think, because this logic she's speaking is truly daft. If the LGBT clubs are the cause of HIV, then Frats are the cause of sexual assaults and closeted homosexuality. The French Club is the cause of anti-patriotism, and the Glee Club confuses gender roles. Child cheese, Linda, get yourself together! And don't bring in Christianity in this argument. The true reason of this faith would strike down her notions, so she should also sign up for more Bible study classes.

And another thing, we should shut down Bible study because it promotes ignorance, myopic views, elitism, madness, and sexism. See Linda, two can play that game.
