Anti-Gay Archbishop John Nienstedt under Investigation for Sexual Relationships with Men

This man is the worst.

Archbishop of St. Paul & Minneapolis, John Nienstedt, is under investigation for fooling around with priests, seminarians and more men. Here's the funny thing about this Archbishop. He hates gays, he worked with NOM and other groups to keep wraps from us. So it's interesting to hear he's under investigation.

Here's more:

The investigation of Twin Cities Archbishop John Nienstedt is being conducted by a prominent Minneapolis law firm hired by the archdiocese after church officials received an allegation against Nienstedt.

The archdiocese confirmed the investigation, which was first reported by Commonweal, a Catholic magazine based in New York.

Nienstedt, 67, said in a separate statement that the allegations “are absolutely and entirely false” and he said he himself authorized the internal investigation, which he called “independent, thorough.”

“The allegations do not involve minors or lay members of the faithful, and they do not implicate any kind of illegal or criminal behavior,” Nienstedt said. “The allegations involve events alleged to have occurred at least a decade ago, before I began serving in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.”

Arrest this man, please!

Police consider Criminal Bullying Charges in the death of Jamey Rodemeyer

Police will look closely at the death of Jamey Rodemeyer. They have opened a criminal investigation to see if charges can be applied for the online bullying.
The Amherst Police Department's Special Victims Unit has said it will determine whether to charge some students with harassment, cyber-harassment or hate crimes. Police said three students in particular might have been involved. Jamey was a student at Heim Middle School.

Jamey had just started his freshman year at Williamsville North High School. (Both Amherst and Williamsville are just outside Buffalo.) But the bullying had begun during middle school, according to his parents. He had told family and friends that he had endured hateful comments in school and online, mostly related to his sexual orientation.
Jamey's Facebook is still receiving hateful comments. It's really sad that these incidents continue to haunt our youth.

Prominent Black Organizations push for an investigation in Provost's Death

This is powerful.

NBJC, Black Leadership Forum, NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus, National Urban League, National Council of Negro Women, 100 Black Men, Inc., and many others Black organizations have joined Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee in the call for an full investigation of August Provost's horrible death.

This is a strong move and a supportive push from prominent Black organizations. I hope that other groups (gay) can come together and work for the common good...maybe someday that will happen.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee wants full investigation of August Provost's Death

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee does not play games when it comes to civil rights.

She is demanding a congressional inquiry into the death of August Provost.

More to come on this topic, but I have to say I'm always impressed by the sheer power of this woman.
