More than 500 people gathered to protest and support Horry County Schools policy on transgender student bathroom use, and while the board was in executive session a conflict broke out between a policy supporter and protesters. The group occasionally broke out in song to silence the woman who questioned why transgender students cannot have the same rights as non-transgender students.

Officer Ben Fields has been suspended without pay
Officer Ben Fields has made headlines this week before literally slamming a high school girl to the ground because she wouldn't leave the classroom for chewing gum. This took place in Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina.
I won't show the video because some may be triggered by the actions of this particular officer. Instead, I want to focus on Ben's history but he's had in the last seven years, check this out:
1) In 2007, a couple sued Fields, fellow deputy Joseph Clark and Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, alleging false arrest, excessive force and violation of free speech rights in 2005.
According to the complaint, Carlos Edward Martin was driving home and got out of his car when Fields approached him and asked if he was the source of an excessive noise complaint that the officer was investigating.
Martin claimed that Fields "slammed him to the ground, cuffed him, began kicking him, and chemically maced him until his clothing was drenched and the contents of the can of mace was [sic] depleted," according to court documents.
When Martin's wife took pictures with her cell phone, Fields told a responding officer to confiscate her phone, according to the lawsuit.
But a jury ruled in favor of Fields.
2) Fields is one of 10 defendants in another case, scheduled to go to trial in January.
In that lawsuit, former Spring Valley High School student Ashton James Reese claims he was unlawfully expelled from school in 2013. At the time, Fields was investigating alleged gang activity at the school.
Reese claimed several offenses in the suit, including lack of due process, negligence, negligent supervision and a violation of the right to public education -- as mandated by state law.
The jury trial is scheduled for January 27-29
Right now, Fields has been placed on administrative leave. There is a case being built on this incident as we speak.

Terrorist caught and arrested in the Murders of 9 people in Charleston, South Carolina
In Charleston, South Carolina, 9 people were shot and killed in the historic Emanuel AME Church. The act of terrorism happened last night around 9pm. The killer is Dylann Roof, a 21-year-old While male. He was arrested in Shelby, N.C., after someone saw Dylann's car.
At this time, we do not have a reason for the killings or a motive. We do know that there are over 15 hate groups in the state and the Justice Dept. will conduct a hate crime investigation.

South Carolina's Gay Marriage Ban found Unconstitutional
![]() |
Judge Richard Gergel |
Wow! Just... Wow!
This morning, US District Judge Richard Gergel struck down the South Carolina's ban on gay marriage. However, he issued a stay until Nov. 20 at noon.
In the ruling, he states:
"The Court hereby declares that [the S.C. constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage], to the extent they seek to prohibit the marriage of same sex couples who otherwise meet all other legal requirements for marriage in South Carolina, unconstitutionally infringe on the rights of plaintiffs under the Due Process Clause and Equal Protection Clause of the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution and are invalid as a matter of law."The haters are going to go mad over there!

GOP Congressional Candidate Anthony P Culler calls Gays Gremlins for Destroying Marriage - WATCH
This fool is a congressional candidate in South Carolina. Recently he took to his Facebook page to rant about gays being Gremlins and abortion.
Here are a few examples:
He even made a video
Here are a few examples:
Sodom and Gomorrah...
How many of the commenters on the subject of "gremlins" support the sins of same-sex marriage and abortion?
The majority.
How many of these commenters that support same-sex marriage, abortion, and seek the destruction of traditional families will vote in South Carolina's Sixth District on November 4th?
Less than 1% of 1%. (Have a great day filling up my page, your page, Twitter, etc. as I will be out campaigning to be elected to STAND against your evil.)
One more thing...
Christians around the nation are SO enjoying my candor. I was called here for this. Abortion, same-sex marriage, and the destruction of the traditional family-whose purpose it is to raise up Godly children, has severe consequences. I'm here to speak loudly against these things but it is the people that will choose. As will God.
A year ago God called me to this district. I knew maybe five of the 700,000 people. I obeyed and came. My campaign is drawing to a close. I ask for prayers.
In Faith,
Anthony Culler

South Carolina Attorney General tries to halt Gay Marriage, Lambda Legal sues
AG Alan Wilson believes he's going the right thing by standing on the 'rule of the law'.
He and SC Governor Nikki Haley are really trying to block gay marriage, but now they have a case from Lambda Legal to deal with.
From their press release:
When will they learn?
He and SC Governor Nikki Haley are really trying to block gay marriage, but now they have a case from Lambda Legal to deal with.
From their press release:
"The Fourth Circuit's decision means that same-sex couples in South Carolina should be shopping for a caterer, not a lawyer. Governor Haley and Attorney General Wilson cannot continue to ignore the rule of law. Fortunately, they have run out of cards to play - we're urging the court to allow same-sex couples in South Carolina to marry without any further delay," said Beth Littrell, Senior Attorney in Lambda Legal's Southern Regional Office based in Atlanta. "The state doesn't have any credible arguments for a court in South Carolina to entertain."
Sc"The Governor and Attorney General are playing politics with our families and it's shameful," said South Carolina Equality lawyer Nekki Shutt, partner at Callison Tighe & Robinson. "Instead of celebrating and planning weddings, same-sex couples all over South Carolina are holding their collective breath - and they have been waiting long enough."
Lambda Legal represents Colleen Condon and Nichols Bleckley who applied and paid for a marriage license in Charleston County last week before the Attorney General asked the South Carolina State Supreme Court to step in and put a halt to the issuances of marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The South Carolina Supreme Court effectively stopped state court judges from issuing marriage licenses or weighing in on marriage equality pending an order from federal court. Another federal case, Bradacs v. Haley, remains pending - it involves couples already legally married seeking recognition in South Carolina of their marriage, while the Condon suit seeks the issuance of a marriage license.
When will they learn?

In South Carolina: State AG goes to High Court to halt Gay Marriage Licenses
In South Carolina, gay marriage are happening!
However, this asswipe, Attorney General Alan Wilson jumped to chance to halt gay marriage. At the end of the work day, yesterday, he filed paperwork just before the state Supreme Court closed.
Here's more
In their filing, attorneys for the state said the probate judge's decision was premature. The attorneys said the legal issues around whether same-sex marriage is legal in South Carolina remain unsettled. They cited a Wednesday decision by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy temporarily blocking gay marriage in Idaho. They also cited a pending South Carolina case that had been put on hold before the nation's high court decided Monday not to hear an appeal of a ruling allowing same-sex marriage by a federal appeals court with jurisdiction over South Carolina.
The granting of the licenses led to confusion and celebration across the state. Most probate court judges turned away same-sex couples until the issue could be settled. Still, some same-sex couples headed to Charleston County, figuring even if the justices rule in Wilson's favor, same-sex marriage is coming to South Carolina soon.
AG Wilson can try, but it's a losing game. Chile, just except defeat.

Gay Marriages are happening in South Carolina
![]() |
via Tyler Jones's Twitter |
Look out, Southerners!
South Carolina court has by-passed their state ban on gay marriage and accepted a marriage license for a same-sex couple.
Charleston County Probate Judge Irvin Condon accepted the license from Charleston County Councilwoman Colleen Condon and her partner, Nichols Bleckley.
Because of SCOTUS's decision this week, Judge Condon said that his court is required to accept and possibly issue marriage licenses. It's a bold move, especially in that state, but I applaud his actions. Now, SC's Attorney General Alan Wilson will continue to fight this, but he should just drop it and let it happen.

In South Carolina: A teen told to take off make-up for Driver’s License photo because “That’s Not The Way A Boy Should Look”
16 year-old Chase Culpepper likes challenge gender roles. He wears make-up and mixes it up with male and female clothing. Most folks in the town of Anderson, S.C. are aware Chase and he is very comfortable with it.
However, some are not cool with Chase's gender non-conforming style.
When he went to the DMV to get his driver’s license, he was told to take off his make-up. The DMV employees that he was wearing a disguise and get this, Chase was told that he did not look the way a boy should.
According to DMV employees, they were following policy. As of August of 2009, the policy says, "At no time will an applicant be photographed when it appears that he or she is purposely altering his or her appearance so that the photo would misrepresent his or her identity."
Interesting, right?
Now, Chase is working with the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund to handle this mess. The TLDEF stated in a letter:
“Chase’s freedom to express his gender should not be restricted by DMV staff,” said TLDEF Executive Director Michael Silverman in the letter to the DMV. “He is entitled to be who he is and to express that without interference from government actors. Forcing Chase to remove his makeup prior to taking his driver’s license photo restricts his free speech rights in violation of state and federal constitutional protections.”Seems that there will be more to this story

In South Carolina: Teacher links LGBT inclusion in Schools to Using Crack
Only in South Carolina...
On a Conservative radio show, Ira Thomas (a teacher and pastor), said this foolish and stupid statement that LGBT inclusion in schools is like teaching folks how to do crack.
It started when the host, Sandy Rios said this:
“I think that we can lay at the feet of the National Education Association the reason why this culture has been slouching toward Gomorrah. The NEA has been for the last twenty years indoctrinating our children.”Then this fool said:
“To me it’s like teaching people about how to use crack. It’s a dangerous game to play on.”Crack and Gomorrah... There's a joke in there somewhere, but I'll leave that alone.

Exit Polls in South Carolina
Here are the Exit Polls in South Carolina:
Sixty-four percent said the debates were an important factor for them; just 34 percent said they were not. Gingrich won standing ovations in both debates while Romney often struggled - and at one point received a smattering of boos for equivocating over how many years of his tax returns he would release.Honestly, judging by the exit polls Newt will fail in achieving these things.
Gingrich, who polls suggest overtook Romney in the final days before today's primary, is hoping for a victory that would keep Romney from locking up the nomination before the end of the month. A majority of voters - 53 percent - said they made up their mind about who to back within the last few days.
The exit poll data showed that South Carolina voters overwhelmingly cited the economy as the most important issue, with 61 percent citing it. (The economy was the top issue in Iowa and New Hampshire as well.)
It was followed by the federal budget deficit (23 percent), abortion (8 percent) and health care (4 percent).
Seventy-eight percent of voters in South Carolina, where the unemployment rate is 9.9 percent, said they are "very" worried about the nation's economy.
