What? A Man willingly Affected Guys with HIV? - WATCH
He has been charged for knowingly exposing over 20 men with HIV. He also bragged about it in texts and emails.
Many men are telling the cops about Thomas. He's free for now, but he will have to appear in court explain why he did this. Thomas faces a maximum of six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.
Personally, he needs more time there.

Well Damn, Comic Con will stay in San Diego until 2015
Well, I hoped for the best but what can you do... Comic Con will be up in San Diego for another 4 years or so.
San Diego – Comic-Con International: San Diego (Comic-Con), the largest comics convention of its kind in the world, today announced it will be staying in San Diego for the foreseeable future.I'm fine with it, but would have hella cheaper if it was here in Los Angeles (less than 2 miles from me apartment)
Comic-Con reached a self-imposed attendance limit at the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) in 2007 and has had to cap attendance at approximately 125,000 people each year since. In looking at ways to better accommodate the growing demand from attendees and exhibitors, the nonprofit organization considered proposals for a move to larger facilities in Los Angeles or Anaheim after the expiration of its SDCC lease in 2012.
This decision keeps Comic-Con in San Diego through 2015.
“We are grateful for the tireless efforts all three cities put into to their proposals,” said David Glanzer, Comic-Con’s director of marketing and public relations. “In the end, we feel this decision is the best for all those who attend Comic-Con and for the organization itself. We are happy that the community has worked with us to ensure that we remain here.”

San Diego will try to keep Comic Con

In a strong move, San Diego will try to keep Comic Con for a few more years.
The officials with the Port of San Diego and the convention center peeps will work together to expand the building that could cost up to $753 million bucks.
If this works, San Diego may be able to keep the Uber-Geek fest.
Here's more:
I'm still hoping we will get it, but if San Diego can get it together, I'm willing to support. The agreement would remove the major obstacle to a proposed expansion of the convention center that would provide an additional 200,000 square feet of exhibit space, 100,000 square feet of meeting rooms and a third ballroom. That would give the San Diego venue a total of 815,000 square feet of exhibit space, roughly the same as the Anaheim Convention Center -- which, along with the Los Angeles Convention Center, is competing for Comic-Con.
Once the land deal is approved, officials with the city, convention center and port district will begin an 18- to 24-month process during which time they'll seek public comment, study possible environmental effects of the expansion, and identify potential revenue streams.
If all goes as planned, and the California Coastal Commission approves the project, the expanded convention center and hotel -- one with as many as 500 rooms -- could open in 2015.
But, I still want it in Los Angeles!

WTFrak?! Hyatt is Kicking out Comic Con Folks?

Staying in the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel for Comic Con? Maybe not.
The mega hotel has kicked out the geeks for the American Health Association convention.
Bleeding Cool reports:
It’s already been reported (and cartooned) that Al Gore is in attendance at the American Health Association convention being held at the Hyatt during Comic Con, the hotel that is traditionally the hangout place of the comic industry during the show, and who spend approximately sixty million dollars at the hotel in question over those five days.
The AHA have block booked many rooms in the hotel during that show – leaving comic creators and professionals unable to get rooms. Some enterprising individuals decided to create their own glitch and started successfully booking those rooms through the AHA website, at discount rate.
On the Hyatt website it has this:Sadly it seems, someone caught on and those bookings are now suddenly being cancelled.
On behalf of our entire staff, we would like to welcome you to our beautiful hotel! Our mission is to provide authentic hospitality by making a difference in the lives of the people we touch every day. So whether you are traveling for business or leisure, are seeking productivity or relaxation, we hope you will experience the Hyatt touch. We are very pleased that you will be joining us, and we look forward to meeting you.
PLEASE NOTE:
These online reservations are available only for current and prospective attendees of the Health Forum / AHA Leadership Summit. If you are not a current or prospective Summit attendee, your reservation will be cancelled with notification from the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
So Comic Con will be in L.A. by next year?

Comic Con free to Roam after 2012?

Interesting news.
San Diego Comic Con maybe open for relocation once their contract is up in 2012. Word on the street is Anaheim, CA and L.A. are two contenders for the mad geek fest.
A decision will be made next month, to be real, they just need to give it up to Los Angeles!
Here's why:
- We can host the damn thing, have you seen our Convention Center?
- We have plenty of space downtown and the entertainment peeps already live here.
- The hotels are easier to access.
- And for personal reasons, it would waaaay easy for me. I wouldn't have to pay for a hotel and I wouldn't have to drive 2 hours to get there; I live less than 3 miles away from the Convention Center. So it's a win for everybody!

Something New
They wanted to embody God's grace to the emerging/postmodern culture they were a part of. To take ancient symbols and the story of God's grace and live out what they mean for us today. This community of faith—this gathering of restless spiritual wanderers from all over San Diego County--found a safe haven for Christian spirituality as opposed to religious institutionalism.
This group also placed a huge billboard up.
I think it's good to have a loud, different voice from the other side. Perhaps they can spark conversations and church in the Christian culture.
