Neil Gaiman said the role for the New Doctor Who was offered to a Black Actor!

Well hush my mouth!

According to writer God, Neil Gaiman, the role for the 12th Doctor was offered to a Black actor.

Neil said:

"I was rather disappointed that Paterson Joseph didn’t get [the role] last time, although I’ve loved Matt’s Eleven.) And yes, I have no doubt there will be [a black Doctor]. (I know one black actor who was already offered the part of the Doctor, and who turned it down.) Just as there will be a female Doctor.

Wow! I am shocked and a bit sad about this news. I would like to know who was the actor? And why did they turn the role down? That could have been epic!!!

The Sandman TV Show? Great Hera give me Strength

If there's a classic, powerful, odd comic book that presents a wide array of stories and characters; I beg for it to stay on comic book print.

However, that's not the case. Warner Bros. is planning on making The Sandman (Neil Gaiman's version) into a TV show... Somebody give me a Coney Island Iced Tea.

Warner Bros. TV is in the midst of acquiring television rights from sister company DC Entertainment and in talks with several writer-producers about adapting the 1990s comic. At the top of the list is Eric Kripke, creator of the CW’s horror-tinged “Supernatural.”

“Sandman” told the tale of Morpheus, the Lord of the Dreaming, a deity who personifies dreams. The book began in the horror realm but quickly made its mark in fantasy and mythology as Gaiman introduced the Endless, a group of powerful brothers and sisters named Destiny, Death, Destruction, Despair, Desire and Delirium (as well as Dream).

Now, I'm not sure if these stories can be done on TV, and I don't mean any harm, but Supernatural? Let's just say it's not a Buffy or a True Blood.

Unless, Neil is writing, casting, producing and directing this, it's a "No" for me.

New Neil

So if you like Neil Gaiman, like me, you may be excited about his new book, The Graveyard Book.

In this new novel, "The Graveyard Book," takes place in a cemetery, where an orphaned boy is raised by a vampire, a werewolf and a witch.

Sounds interesting.

Gaiman says that "The Graveyard Book" is a metaphor for life, family and leaving home. The book opens with a baby boy escaping an assassin who has massacred his parents and older sister. The boy totters to a decrepit cemetery, where he's adopted by ghosts, christened Nobody Owens (Bod for short) and given the Freedom of the Graveyard.

I like his work. It's challenging, terrifying, beautiful, and strange. Sandman was brilliant and truly a delightful read from time to time. The Books of Magic or the original Harry Potter, was a gem. If you haven't read any of his work, please do so, it's sublime.
