Meet the New Fantastic Four Cast

These are very interesting choices for the Fantastic Four cast, but it is what it is.

Variety reports that Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Michael B. Jordan are set in the roles.

Kate Mara is set to play Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman
Jamie Bell Bell as (possibly) Ben Grimm/The Thing
Miles Teller has been offered to play Reid Richards/Mr. Fantastic
Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/Human Torch

Again, interesting choices. Let's see how the public takes the news

Could Michael B. Jordan be the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four Reboot?

Could Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four be Black?

It's possible according to The Wrap. Hottie Michael B. Jordan is being considered for the Johnny Storm/Human Torch role. Now, if you don't know Jordan, he was in the found footage superhero film Chronicle.

If this happens, it could spark praise or drama. Especially if Sue Storm is White (For those who don't know Sue and Johnny are siblings). Maybe either one of them is adopted or something, y'know that stuff could happen.

I guess we will know soon.

FOX confirms X-Men, Daredevil and Fantastic Four Projects

Following their decent success with X-Men: First Class, FOX will press on with a sequel and other Marvel Comics projects. MTV News talks to Fox exec Tom Rothman, who says that it's all happening:
MTV News caught up with Rothman at the Gotham Independent Film Awards, and they spoke about the prospects continuing that series and how its success has changed how the studio approaches superhero movies.

"The reason, in addition to those two guys and Matthew Vaughn, that it was as good as it was that the script was really good," Rothman said. "The key to making a great continuing franchise is to have a great script, so we're working hard on it."

Rothman also commented on a couple other Marvel properties Fox will bring back to the screen, "Daredevil" and "Fantastic Four." In the case of "Daredevil," director David Slade announced this week that the script for the reboot was finally finished. Rothman confirmed before that the project is still with Slade and moving forward.

"'Daredevil' is still with David Slade," Rothman said. "It's in development now. We're working on it and 'Fantastic Four.'"
Well, they better bring it, because the jury is still out on FOX handling these films. We haven't forgot X-Men 3 or the FF and Silver Surfer mess. Plus, Marvel can still take back the X-Men in 2012. So if they don't get it up, it's could be curtains.

Spider-Man Joins Fantastic Four! Now, FF stands for The Future Foundation!

A new comic featuring Spidey in the Fantastic Four is called FF.

Here's a description
Their mission is simple: save the Marvel Universe from its greatest threats and prevent future dangers from arising. But even with knowledge of what’s to come and one of the most powerful teams ever assembled, just what villainous force could stand in their way?

Cute.

I Know who Dies in Fantastic Four 587 *SPOILER ALERT*

I was right, it is JOHNNY aka the Human Torch! AP reports:
It's a Fantastic Four farewell with the revelation Tuesday of who among them has been selected to be written out of the super hero team.

While Marvel Entertainment has made no secret that a member of the quartet, which was introduced in August 1961, would die, exactly who among the group would fall has been a closely held secret, until the release of issue No. 587.

It's the Human Torch, leaving teammates Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman and the Thing to pick up the pieces and move forward.

Fifty years after cosmic rays transformed him into a man ablaze, the Human Torch will burn no more as the pop culture purveyor of super heroes and villains embarks on an ambitious story line that ends the Fantastic Four.

In the newest issue of one of the company's longest-running comic books, Johnny Storm's life is taken amid a massive battle that writer Jonathan Hickman has been scripting for a year-and-half. Illustrator Steve Epting did the art.

I knew it! I knew it!

My 7 Possible Fantastic Four Member Picks UPDATE

As the comic book geeks know, the Fantastic Four will be losing a member. So, I thought if they go looking for a new FF member, here are some possibilities.

I removed Diamond Lil because she's dead, but I put the Eternal, Sersi in her place. Sersi has superhuman strength, psionic powers and she manipulate cosmic energy.

Dr. Cecilia Reyes - Her powers are similar to Sue (if it's Sue who dies). Cecilia has psioplasmic bio-field of invisible energy. She can also shape this energy at will, like create spikes and armor.

Neal Shaara the 3rd Thunderbird - He has solar plasma powers, so he could be a great replacement for the Human Torch. Plus, I always taught he was underused.

Dominic Destine/Hex - He is a member of the UK group, Clandestine. He has superhuman senses and he is a skilled fighter.

Sandman - A villain and almost member of The Avengers. His powers over sand could be helpful.

Juggernaut - Cain Marko is complex man. I think being a member of the FF could make him the hero he should be.

Firestar - Angelica's time is now. She has complete control of her fire powers and she has a heart of gold. Think she could be a great FF member.

One of the Fantastic Four dies in issue 587

Yes, one of the classic team members eats dirt in upcoming issue.
The Fantastic Four — superheroes whose creation nearly 50 years ago helped usher in the Silver Age of comics for Marvel — is about to become a trio.
Marvel Comics said Wednesday that a member of the foursome — Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing — will die in issue No. 587 next month, a change that the company said will ripple across the Marvel Universe like never before.
But who will die? That's a secret protected with more might than the Incredible Hulk and Sentry possess, but executive editor Tom Brevoort, who oversees the comic book, says plenty of clues have been offered during the course of writer Jonathan Hickman's run, including the current "Three" story line.
"I think we've given plenty of hints as to who may die — perhaps too many, in that every one of our lead characters is left in a dire, life-threatening situation the month before," Brevoort told The Associated Press. "So, hopefully, that will help to heighten the suspense, while preserving the surprise as to which member doesn't make it out alive."
Marvel is taking no chances in trying to contain that secret like it were the wish-granting Cosmic Cube itself.
Readers will find out for themselves when "Fantastic Four" No. 587 is released in January, though it'll be wrapped in a black polybag designed to keep snoops from finding out and spilling the news.
I think it's Johnny (Human Torch)

Stephen Moyer may be a Contender for Doctor Doom

Our "Bill" may be Doctor Victor Von Doom in the Fantastic Four reboot.

ScreenRant reports:
Last week I was informed that Fox was interested in Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers for the role of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic to help lead the project and team of superheroes and now comes word that Fantastic Four’s rival and main villain Dr. Doom could be played by True Blood star Stephen Moyer. Comic Book Movie confirms the talk I heard earlier in the week that Brody is still the top contender to play Richards and that there’s a strong interest in bringing in Moyer to play Victor von Doom, the villainous arch-rival previously played by Julian McMahon in the last two Fantastic Four movies.
More to come on this. So far this is a rumor, but we will see.

Because no one Cares... 20th Century Fox wants to relaunch Fantastic Four

Why? Why? Who asked for this?
While Disney lays down a $4 billion bet on the future of Marvel's superheroes, 20th Century Fox has already begun overhauling one of its big Marvel franchises, "Fantastic Four," to take the property beyond the two films already made.

Akiva Goldsman has been hired to oversee the reboot as producer. Michael Green, the co-exec producer of TV's "Heroes" who co-wrote "Green Lantern," will write the script for the new "Fantastic Four."

Fox wouldn't comment on its plans, but the moves are evidence that Marvel franchises do have enduring lifespans.

We seen this mess before, why are they doing this again?

Were fans screaming about this? No!

So why? Whyyyy?

Maybe Maleficent can put a spell on 20th Century Fox to stop this mess!

Another Fantastic Four Flick?

IESB.net reports that 20 Century Fox is possibly planning on...rebooting the Fantastic Four.

Why, Lord knows, but I guess they want try one last time.

The site states: The two films previously released never really caught on with the fans and the studio is reportedly looking to completely retool, recast and recrew the franchise.

This means no Tim Story, no Iaon, no Julian (thank the maker, he never sat well with me as Dr. Doom), no Chris, no Chiklis and no Jessica.
The first Fantastic Four in 2005 pulled in over $330 million worldwide and the second film, Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer, opened in 2007 with a total box office take of $290 million.

Both made money and were commercial successes but the reviews were lackluster and the fan reaction was mediocre.
The franchise is looking to be "less bubble gum" this time round following the Iron Man template, which was a complete success in reviews and box office take but a bit darker when it came to its superhero. Iron Man was in no way as dark as The Dark Knight but was funny, action-y as well as a bit on the serious side.

But to be real, Marvel Studios will be able to do it. 20 Century Fox would try to put some Playboy tramp as Sue Richards.
