Dzhokhar Tsarnaev found Guilty on 30 Counts

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty of 30 charges, which includes using a weapon of mass destruction. He was a part of horrific Boston Bombing incident that happened on April 15, 2013. The jury deliberated for over 11 hours on this case.

Dzhokhar and his brother, Temerlan were responsible for the bombing, killing three people and injuring 264 people. Tamerlan was killed and Dzhokhar was arrested after a massive manhunt in Watertown, MA.

This has been a long time coming, I hope the families effected by this act find peace.

Rolling Stone responds to Boston Bomber Backlash

So Rolling Stone is under fire for putting Boston bombing suspect Dzhohkar Tsarnaev on their cover. After receiving tons of emails, tweets and Facebook messages, Rolling Stone released this statement:
Our hearts go out to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, and our thoughts are always with them and their families. The cover story we are publishing this week falls within the traditions of journalism and Rolling Stone's long-standing commitment to serious and thoughtful coverage of the most important political and cultural issues of our day. The fact that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is young, and in the same age group as many of our readers, makes it all the more important for us to examine the complexities of this issue and gain a more complete understanding of how a tragedy like this happens.
This is becoming an interesting situation. Is this really a big idea? Or, do folks have a point about this cover?

More to come.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Charged

From HuffPo
The 19-year-old accused of carrying out the bombing at the Boston Marathon -- one of two suspected in last week's incident -- has been charged with use of a weapon of mass destruction and malicious destruction of property resulting in a death.
If convicted of the federal charges, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev could be sentenced to death or spend the rest of life in prison. His older brother and alleged bombing accomplice Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed Friday during a shootout with police in Watertown.
A court magistrate came to his hospital room for the arraignment on charges stemming from the double bombing that killed three and wounded more than 200 people.
Tsarnaev was reportedly shot in the throat before his arrest Friday in Watertown, Mass.
Earlier today, the FBI said that he "remains in serious condition" at Beth Israel hospital in Boston.

The Manhunt Ends, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is Caught, More Questions to Come

So this week has been crazy, right?

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was finally caught, but not without a fight. MSNBC gives a great recount of the incident:
A resident had gone outside to smoke and noticed a tarp on the boat was flapping, a relative told NBC News. When he went to investigate, he saw what looked like a curled-up person and bloody clothes.

The man "freaked out," ran into the house and called police, the relative said.

Thermal imaging from helicopters confirmed there was a person in the boat, officials said.

Over the course of two hours, several bursts of gunfire could be heard. The police exchanged fire with Tsarnaev, threw flash-bang grenades designed to disorient him and brought a negotiator to the scene as night fell, officials said.

Just before 9 p.m., the wounded Tsarnaev was taken into custody. "He sustained significant blood loss," a law enforcement official at the scene said.
President Obama addressed the nation about the capture

There are a lot of questions about Dzhokhar and the reasons why he did this. I'm sure by this weekend, we will have an idea.

Watch the Boston Police Press Conference after the jump. Glad this is over... I hope

Suspect No. 2 is Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, New Image

Suspect identified as 19 year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and not Sunil as reported earlier. This guy has possibly created a Twitter account where he has posted that he is avenging his dead brother.

UPDATE, this is his real Twitter account @Dzhokhar_

Here's more on him:
The suspects were identified to The Associated Press as coming from the Russian region near Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency stemming from separatist wars. A law enforcement intelligence bulletin obtained by the AP identified the surviving bomb suspect as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, a 19-year-old who had been living in Cambridge, Mass.

Two law enforcement officials told the AP that Tsarnaev and the other suspect, who was not immediately identified, had been living legally in the U.S. for at least one year.
