A Federal Judge declared Colorado's Gay Marriage Ban Unconstitutional

Judge Raymond P. Moore struck down Colorado's gay marriage ban yesterday, however he temporarily put the ruling on hold to give the state until next month to appeal the decision.

Here's more:
Judge Raymond P. Moore's ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed July 1 by six gay couples who asked the court for an injunction ordering that the state's ban no longer be enforced.

Colorado Republican Attorney General John Suthers and Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper had requested a stay so the issue could eventually be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court — though both agreed the state ban should be declared unconstitutional.
Haters will appeal, but lose in the end.

Colorado's Sen. Kent Lambert: Democrats Use 'Mind Control' to push Gay Marriage in the State

This man's an idiot and somehow, he's elected into office in Colorado.

Today's statement from him takes the cake

He actually said this:
In Colorado we have a Constitutional prohibition against homosexual marriage, however (the civil unions) law turned that Constitutional provision on its head. There are no wavers or provisions for any contrary thought, whether it's religion or just people's expression of their own morality. It completely suppresses basically any ideas. It's a mind control experiment by the majority party, the Democrats, here in Colorado to force everybody, including children in schools, everything else, under penalty of law to believe in homosexual marriage.

Civil Unions proposal clears first hurdle in Colorado

Colorado's Senate Judiciary Committee advanced the Colorado Civil Union Act yesterday. The hearing was about 4 hours, but after everyone spoke the message was clear.
The first vote came late Wednesday afternoon — and it came as no surprise to anyone — when the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 3-to-2 on party lines to send Senate Bill 11 on to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Bringing down the gavel on the vote was Sen. Jessie Ulibarri, D-Adams County, elected in November, who had sat on the other side of the room the past two years and testified twice about how the bill’s legal protections would help support his partner and their son.

“It’s a very different year, a very exciting year,” Ulibarri told FOX31 Denver prior to the hearing. “We have folks here who are willing to stand up for committed couples and there will be a very different result this year.”
