Broadway's Finest join together for “Broadway for Orlando”

This is really amazing.

So, the big Broadway superstars got together to create a hopeful version of Burt Bacharach’s song “What the World Needs Now is Love”. The benefit single is a tribute to the victims the mass shooting in Orlando.

'Sylar' will be in the Off Broadway revival of Angels in America

Zachary Quinto will give us drama in the revival of Angels in America. He will play Louis Ironson.

The first show starts in September 14, 2010 and run through December in NYC. If I'm there, I might check it out.

Bomb scare in Times Square

Lord, craziness in NYC! Cops found an unexploded bomb in a burning car in Times Square.

Several blocks of New York's Times Square remained shut down early Sunday morning as a robot from the city police department's bomb squad checked for explosives after an officer saw smoke coming from a box inside a parked car.

The police department's public information office said the box and other items found in the search are not confirmed at this time to be a bomb.

A law enforcement source said police found propane cylinders and a gas can among the items. The source said these could be supplies used by street vendors.

The Department of Homeland Security said it was monitoring the developments. President Obama, who was updated on the situation late Saturday night, said the federal government was prepared to provide support.

This leads to so many things, so many questions.

I might have to Return to NYC, Carrie the Musical is Back on Broadway!

I believe in miracles and one just happened.

Carrie the Musical is back and on Broadway!

"Carrie" ran five performances on Broadway in 1988, but those who saw it can never forget it.

It set a new standard on Broadway for camp awfulness. As Ken Mandelbaum notes in his indispensable book "Not Since 'Carrie': 40 Years of Musical Flops," it seemed as if every fiasco in theatrical history "was piled high, and 'Carrie' was playing on top of them all."

The confident producers attempting to resurrect it are Jeffrey Seller and Kevin McCollum, whose enviable track record includes "Rent," "Avenue Q" and "West Side Story."

Next month, they're producing a six-figure workshop of the musical, based on Stephen King's 1974 thriller about a teenage girl with telekinetic powers.

I was fortunate to see Xanadu on Broadway and now I may get to see this... Maybe.

Bret Michaels' Fall should make us wonder...Why is Rock of Ages a Broadway Show?

The Tonys was very interesting, especially with Rock of Ages screaming all over the screen. I am very shocked that Guitar Hero, The Musical was showcased so seriously yesterday, but this scene with Bret Michaels was completely telling about this show.

Question...Who thought that Guitar Hero was a good idea for a Broadway show?
