A Gay Couple weds at NYC's Midtown Comics Store

Who said comics don't inspire others?

Comics geeks Scott Everhart, 39, and Jason Welker, 33 were the lucky couple to be married at NYC's Midtown Comics in honor of Northstar and his man Kyle.

They have an awesome story on how they met, please check it out here

The couple had their ceremony this morning in the store. Midtown posted the pics on their Tumblr..

I think this is a great way to start their new lives together... In holy Gay Geekdomony

A Gay Club Host an Astonishing X-Men #51 Party

A gay bar in London will be hosting the wedding party of Northstar and Kyle.

Bleeding Cool reports:
Orbital Comics in London is situated close to Soho, the gay mecca of London. And on Frith Street, lies CIRCA, a gay club that opened last year.

To celebrate the wedding of Northstar & Kyle in Astonishing X-Men #51 Orbital will be hosting a wedding reception/party at there on Tuesday June 19 from 7:15pm.

There will be cheap drinks, Northstar & Kyle-themed cocktails, dancing, and copies of the issue available for sale a day early (including the rare ‘Marvel weddings’ variant!)
I think that's a cool idea. Maybe some bar in LA will follow suit?
