I should begin with an apology. I am sincerely sorry for the votes I cast and the actions I took that harmed lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Just as important to me, I am sorry for not stepping forward and speaking up as an elected official on behalf of equal treatment for all people. For nearly 26 years, the voters in my area of California trusted me as their elected representative. I look back now knowing there is so much more I could have done to inform the public about LGBT people and to fight for equal rights under the law. Regrettably and selfishly, I took another path in my life and political career—I chose to conceal who I truly am and to then actually vote against the best interests of people like me. All this was done because I was afraid–terrified, really–that somehow I would be revealed as gay.

My past actions harmed gay people. In fact, all people are harmed when there is unequal treatment of anyone under the constitution and laws of our country. I do not believe in discrimination, and yet my votes advanced unequal of treatment of gay people and promoted the suspicion and fear that limits people from being forthright and accepted in society.

Is Mark Buse a Friend or Foe?

Mark Buse is John McCain's new campaign manager. In fact he has been with McCain for years (80s), working as an aide and later, the chief of staff.

But the kicker about all of this, Buse is suppose to be gay.

John McCain's longtime staff member Mark Buse has been named as head of the senator's reelection campaign.

Buse, a gay man, has worked for McCain since the 1980s, when he served as an intern for the then-House member. Buse rose through the ranks, eventually becoming chief of staff to the Arizona senator.

Mark was outed by Michelangelo Signorile, using this video and personal info as proof:

Mark is working with McCain, so he knows every move he makes, including the moves against us.

I have to ask, if Mark is for us or against us?

I am curious to see how all this plays out. This would be so wrong if Mark is openly gay and openly supports a man who could care less about our happiness.

Alex Cortez, Your actions are UNACCEPTABLE!

Alex Cortez is the ex-bf of Actor Terrell Carter (who has been in several Tyler Perry's shows and movies).

And he outed Terrell after they broke up. Tacky!

In fact, this is what he said.

"Hell yeah i’m angry!…there are fucked up ppl out there no matter how nice they seem to be & it’s their fault, ppl they harm are bitter!"

No Alex, it's your fault for being so childish and petty. This will be your claim to fame, so enjoy it since you are basically a mess.

It is unacceptable to act like this, Alex! Be a man and handle your business. What did you hope to accomplish by outing Terrell?

Now, I know I have no idea what happened in their relationship, however this should not be the end result. It's so tacky and harmful, very harmful.

We should reach out to Terrell as a community. He may not want our help now, but it will be good for him to know he has a welcoming space to come to. And we should reach out to Alex; he should know and understand the damage he has caused.

Because of this mess, I will not post any of the leaked pics. We should not make a bigger spectacle of this drama.

Gay on Gay Crime

This is...sad. When is it cool to out someone? Never. Especially when you are SUPPOSE to be a friend.

Today I was floored to see this National Enquirer story about Jonathan Knight and his fling/friend/asshole,Kyle Wilker. It's labeled as Gay Lover Tells All, which makes me mad.

This is an example of pettiness in our community. For his little 15 minutes, Kyle was willing to out someone who is a friend. He could ruin Jonathan's life, I wondered if he thought about that.

Probably didn't since he wanted the Enquirer to know. If this is true, then I hope Jonathan has the support he needs. I don't want this bitch or the fallout from this story to destroy his trust in people or the gay community. If you don't know Jonathan's story, just know that he's been a lot. I wish him well and I hope his fans and friends give him strength through this.

And for you, Kyle Wilker...What you did was wrong, vile and hateful! I cast a plague upon your house!
