This is so ridic!
ND officials are trying their best to have the lawsuit against the state's marriage ban dropped.
These freaks are begging the federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit. The state attorney general's office filed the motion yesterday, using the claim the states have the right to define marriage... Mostly for a man and a woman.
Solicitor General Doug Bahr said in the 50 page document:
"Nothing in the United States Constitution prevents the people of North Dakota from defining marriage as the legal union between a man and a woman."
"The people of North Dakota, through the deliberative political process, retain the traditional understanding of marriage as the union between a man and a woman."Okay, and nothing prevents them from changing that as well. I mean, why are they fighting this? It's going to happen, whether they like it or not.
The AG said they will defend the law, but they are wasting their time.
