In Zimbabwe: President Mugabe Threatens to Kick Out any Diplomats supporting LGBT Rights

Robert Mugabe is a horrible man!

He just threatened to expel foreign diplomats who try to promote LGBT rights in Zimbabwe.

He said:
“Some years ago, l was warned that there was some secret orignization of that nature which was addressing young men varimumauniversity nemuzvikoro to join them as homosexuals. This nonsense from Europe, keep their homosexual nonsense there and not cross over with it. We did not fight for this Zimbabwe so it can be a homosexual territory. We will never have that here and if there are any diplomats who will talk of any homosexuality, just tell me. We will kick them out of the country without any excuse. We won’t even listen. Kungoti chete ava vari homosexual, risati radoka tinenge tavakanda kunze kwenyika ino.”
He went on to say:
“If you pass a law that rejects homosexual marriages, ‘we will punish you’ like what they are doing to Uganda and us. And they say they want you to believe that if a man gets another man and they have a homosexual relationship, they have human rights to do so. But that act is inhuman. It’s not human and human rights cannot derive from acts which are inhuman. That does not exist in jurisprudence...”
“What is wrong is wrong and cannot be right but they say no, human beings are free to marry each other, and look at the absurdity of it all, when God created the world, we leant from the Bible, He created animals, forests, lastly He created man. Because man was lonely, He got from the side of man, a rib and created a woman...that’s the start of society as we know it from the bible."
Wow... My heart goes out to our fam in Zimbabwe. Their leader is mad!

Interesting Quote: President Robert Mugabe

"So how would they have children? I should like to shut them-up in some room and see if they get pregnant; if they don’t then its jail because they have claimed they can have children. So, to that kind of rot, we say no, no, no, no! Women are also engaged in this vile activity. We have some claiming to be men but what is it that makes you a man? Show us your manhood; you want to make other women your wives and you the husband? Well, that is madness; we refuse to accept that."

This bigot is basically saying, "Have kids or go to jail"

In Zimbabwe: Gays and Lesbians leaders were Arrested for... Nothing really

A gay activist group were arrested for basically nothing. Last Saturday, Gays and Lesbians of Zimbabwe (GALZ) were arrested at their offices located at Milton Park. Ironically, they were there discussing their report on violations.

Here's more from their website:
Forty four GALZ members were arrested yesterday at the GALZ office soon after the launch of the GALZ Violations Report and Briefing of the second draft Zimbabwe Constitution. Thirty one men and thirteen women members were detained at Harare Central Police Station on 11 August 2012.

Four police officers attempted to gain entry into the premises before calling for back up where about fifteen riot squad members descended on the office and effected arrest. Police assaulted most of the members using baton sticks, open hands and clenched fists before detaining them without charge.

Zimbabwe Lawyers for human rights were denied access to see all members detained.

All forty four members have now been released and are we are working with them to assess their condition and well being.
It was also mentioned in another article that the cops appeared to be drunk and very abusive with their batons. I'm glad the group were okay, but hopefully this mess will be investigated.

Interesting Quote: Zimbabwe's Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai

"It's a very controversial subject in my part of the world. My attitude is that I hope the constitution will come out with freedom of sexual orientation, for as long as it does not interfere with anybody. To me, it's a human right."
The PM supports gay rights in Zimbabwe.

Interesting Quote: Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe

"We say no to gay rights. We will not listen to those advocating for their rights in the new constitution. At some point, I realised that I was reprimanding blameless dogs and pigs, which are aware that marriage is for procreation. We say no to gays! We will not listen to those advocating the inclusion of their rights in the constitution."
