Former S.C. Officer, Michael Slager, has been indicted for the death of Walter Scott
Finally, some justice.
A Grand jury has indicted former North Charleston police officer Michael Slager on murder charges. If you remember, Michael was caught on camera shooting Walter Scott, who was running away from him. Then, he planted a weapon by his body to say that Walter was trying to attack him.
Solicitor Scarlett Wilson announced the indictment this morning

South Carolina Officer Michael Slager charged with murder of Unarmed Black Man
Finally, a cop was caught murdering an unarmed man.
This past Saturday, in North Charleston, Officer Michael Slager fatally shot 50-year-old Walter Scott after confrontation.
According to the officer, he stopped Walter due to broken taillight. When confronted with several warrants, Walter fled the scene. Officer Slager said that Walter tried to take his taser. Then, the officer shot Walter Scott. He used the all-purpose excuse, "I feared for my life!"
However, that was a lie! A cellphone video revealed the truth. Officer Slager shot Walter 8 times as he was running away!
Here's a graphic video showing everything.
Once this video was released, Officer Slager was arrested by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and now, he faces 30 years to life in prison or the death penalty.
I have to say that I'm glad there was a video, because you can see this officer was going to lie about killing Walter. And if you look close enough, you can see that Walter never had the taser, but it looks like Slager planted the taser next to Walter's body. He really had no respect or no regards for Walter's life.
I'm so glad he was caught and arrested from this senseless murder.
