A Campaign focuses on Safe Sex between Trans Men and Cis Men

A new campaign called GRUNT is here to keep sex between trans guys and cis guys.

From their website
Grunt is about hot, fun, informed sex between trans guys and cis guys. It’s a celebration of who we are and the guys we are into. A space to get accurate, inclusive and sex-positive sexual health information so we can keep it safe, keep it hot and have awesome sex.

Grunt focuses on the sex and play we have with cis guys because there is very limited information in Australia about how we look after our sexual health as gay, bi and queer trans men. In addition to this, men who have sex with men are disproportionately affected by HIV in Australia, in fact most of the new reported diagnoses each year are among gay-identified men living in our capital cities. When compared to other LBQ/not-straight populations, gay men experience a greater prevalence of STIs as well. Trans guys have always been part of gay male communities so we need to know this stuff.

If you are a trans guy into other trans guys, Grunt is still for you. The level of HIV and STI risk might be different but as a gay, bi or queer guy, Grunt is a good source for sexual health information.

The term ‘trans’ is used throughout Grunt to refer to people with a gender identity different to what was assigned at birth. For this campaign that means men, trans masc and non-binary people assigned female at birth (including those of us who don’t identify as trans at all).

In seeking the imagery for this resource, no volunteer was turned away and we tried hard to find a diverse mix of shapes, shades, sizes and expressions, we are grateful to the folks who donated their time, comfort-zones and bodies for Grunt.

I'm here for it and I think this is cool

Hot Trans Man Alert: Shawn Stinson

Here's a little bit about Shawn
For Shawn, being transgender means being yourself and living exactly how you feel inside and out. His contribution to the transgender community, according to him, "Grew on accident". According to him, he "transitioned without knowing he was transitioning". In 2008, after feeling weird and knowing something wasn't right and still being unaware of what a transman was, he went to a surgeon who had never done FTM Top surgery before and said, "This is what I want. I have the money just do it". Then in 2010, while watching a special on TV about a transgender man, he realized that he was not the only one. It was at that point, he came to understand and be able to put a name to what he was, a transgender man. Once he realized this, he began medically transitioning by starting hormone therapy.

Currently, Stinson’s #1 focus is training for the 2nd annual FTM Body Building Competition taking place in October 2015 in Atlanta, GA. The event will be the 1st of its kind to take place in Atlanta. He is trying to maintain his title. Stinson also has his Free Fit Camp for anyone who lives in or is visiting the Atlanta, GA area.

Trans Man leads the Men's Health Cover Contest

Aydian Dowling is in the lead to be the 2015 Men Health's cover model! Not too long ago, he was inching up to the top ten, now he's 30,000 votes ahead of the rest.

If he wins the contest, he will be the first trans guy to cover a major men's magazine. Let's hope Aydian moves forward.
