Watch: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will NOT force any player to stand for National Anthem

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke at a news conference today, about players taking a knee during the anthem. He said they can continue doing it. Roger thinks they should stand, but he gets why they're doing it. I'm glad they are not forcing them to do this. We are in America, right?

Oh Snap! Ray Rice told NFL Commissioner He hit His Fiancee

This story is getting uglier by the moment!

Now, we hear that Ray Rice told NFL commissioner Roger Goodell he punched Janay in the casino elevator!

This news hit yesterday and now folks are looking to Roger for answers.

Here's more:
Goodell made the statement Tuesday during an interview with CBS News, saying the latest video released by TMZ Sports about the incident was "inconsistent" with what the former Baltimore Ravens running back had told him. But four sources close to Rice say that during the disciplinary meeting in the commissioner's office on June 16, Rice told Goodell he had hit Janay Rice, then his fiancee, in the face inside a Revel Casino Hotel elevator in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and had knocked her unconscious.

"Ray didn't lie to the commissioner," a source with knowledge of the meeting told "Outside the Lines." "He told the full truth to Goodell -- he made it clear he had hit her, and he told Goodell he was sorry and that it wouldn't happen again."

"He told the truth," a second source said. "This is a public lynching of Ray."

A third source with knowledge of Rice's discussion with the commissioner said: "There was no ambiguity about what happened [in the elevator]." A fourth source also confirmed how the information was relayed at the meeting; however, a fifth source with knowledge of the meeting said Rice told Goodell he had "slapped" his fiancee.
Roger, you in danger, girl!

Interesting Quote: Fox Sports contributor Jason Whitlock

Whatever the case, difficult questions must be asked, and they should come from the commissioner’s chair. It’s Goodell’s job to protect The Shield. It’s Goodell’s job to protect the employees.
The best protection for the league and the players is the freeing of the gays.
Let’s be honest. I think it’s reasonable to assume that 15 percent of NFL players are gay and/or bisexual. Generally speaking, they’re forced to conceal their sexuality out of fear of being ostracized and potentially released from the team.

They need to be set free, released from the grip of the most hostile work environment in America. Is there a more homophobic work setting than a football locker room? I can’t think of one.

Jason is calling on NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to 'free the gays'
