Marvel cast Mike Colter Cast as Luke Cage in the Netflix Live Action Series

Marvel has cast Mike Colter to play the Marvel Comics hero, Luke Cage in the Netflix series, "Alias".

Luke Cage gained his powers from a different version of the Super Solider serum (the stuff that created Captain America). He fights crime in NYC, especially against gang and drug dealers. He later joined the Avengers and married Jessica Jones, the star "Alias".

Marvel will Develop Four Original Series For Netflix

Marvel's going a different route for their comic book heroes. They are taking four of their well-known heroes and giving them a series each on Netflix.

The heroes are Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. And the cute piece is, they will interact with the Marvel Movie universe.

Netflix has committed to four, thirteen-episode series, which will start streaming in 2015. The kick-off event will be called "The Defenders", which some of us are familiar with in the comic world.
