My Top 5 (really 6) Secret Identity Transformations
Sometimes, life would be so simple and more interesting if we could spin in circle and change into something else.
Or at least into some hot new fashions.
Growing up, I was obsessed with these transformations scenes for years. How cool would it be to do this? Okay, I'm geeking out... a moment please.
Alright, so you know the score, I talked about these transformations and now, I have to share them.

New Look for He-Man (Not Feeling It)
This is DC Comics new take on He-Man.
From this pic, I'm not a fan. I liked the classic look (for a lot of reasons) it was special, timeless and sexy.
This look is boring and unnecessary. Let's go back to this

So who does Dolph Lundgren sees as the new He-Man?
In a recent interview with HuffPo, DILF-ish Dolph Lundgren talked about who could be the next He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe film.
It came out this week that there might be a new "Masters of the Universe" movie. Who would you pick to take over as He-Man?
Well, let's see. You need somebody who's well built and charming, I suppose. And he can deliver a couple of lines of dialogue, I guess more than I had [laughs]. I mean, Channing Tatum? I don't know. I don't know that many young actors. But he's got a pretty good body. He's got a naturally athletic body which you need, unless you make the guy wear a suit, like Batman. But if you need real muscles, you need somebody who is built.
What about Chris Hemsworth?
Yeah! That's a good idea. That's a cool idea, yeah. What do y'all think, Channing or Chris?

DC Comics will be bringing back He-Man
DC Comics is bringing He-Man back this summer for a mini-series. The comic will focus on the characters we know and love, but there's a twist. In this series, Skeletor has conquered Eternia!
MTV Geek reports:
That's right: the skull faced arch-enemy of He-Man has figured out a way to rewrite the reality of Eternia, casting himself as the ruler of Castle Grayskull, and our heroes - including He-Man - as regular peasants with no memory of their previous life. And while simple woodsman Adam may dream of wielding a massive sword, and fighting in battles, he thinks they're just dreams. That is, until a mysterious sorceress approaches him, and sends him on an epic journey to save all of Eternia.Sounds interesting, I will be checking this out.

This is the 30th Anniversary of 'Masters of the Universe'
Do you remember you got you hands on He-Man? I do, and I... Well, we want get into that, but it's a shocker He-Man is 30!
The Masters of Universe toys was the sh*t! I think many of us played with He-Man, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn and Man-At-Arms at some point of our lives. It was a very creative concept that mixed sorcery and science in a fun and beautiful.
Then Filmation gave us one of the best cartoons ever! For a few years, we watched Prince Adam transform into the hunky hero, known as He-Man. We also wished that we could be the Sorceress, or maybe that's just me.
Anywho, He-Man played a huge role in our generation's lives and I just want to say, happy 30th anniversary, Masters of the Universe!

No He-Man for Us

Well I'm a little sad, but okay about this news...
Warner Bros. and Mattel will be parting company on “Masters of the Universe,” the live-action reinvention of the signature Mattel toy line that WB and producer Joel Silver have been developing since 2007.
Mattel and WB didn’t see eye to eye over the direction of the project and made a mutual decision to let the option lapse this month. The film revolves around He-Man, a prince who becomes a warrior who battles the evil Skeletor for control of his magical homeland.
It's probably for the best. Hopefully a better deal well come through and that deal won't mess up my childhood memories.

Masters of The Universe movie becoming a Reality

Latino Review was the 1st to confirmed this info...He-Man is coming back on the screen.
Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver set "Kung Fu Panda" co-director John Stevenson to make his live action directing debut on "Masters of the Universe," a re-imagining of the signature Mattel toy line.
He-Man is a brawny prince who transforms into a warrior who becomes the last hope for a magical land called Eternia, which is being ravaged by technology and the evil Skeletor.
Silver is producing through his Silver Pictures banner. Mattel's Barry Waldo will be executive producer.
WB acquired the property in 2007, and Justin Marks wrote the first draft of the script based on a story he developed with Neil Ellice.
The Mattel property became iconic by way of the 1980s cartoon series "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe," and the property was previously turned into a campy flop by Cannon Films in 1987, with Dolph Lungdren as He-Man and "Frost/Nixon" star Frank Langella as the villainous Skeletor.
The film project is a big priority for Mattel, which licenses a high-end line of He-Man toys that are popular with hardcore collectors. Hollywood has become a magnet for branded toy-line properties, as DreamWorks and Paramount ready a June 26 release for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and Paramount preps for an Aug. 7 release on "G.I. Joe," both of which began as toy lines that became hit animated series.
Stevenson said the first film came to mind when he was asked to consider the job, and the impression wasn't a good one. He changed his mind when he went to Mattel headquarters and was shown into a secret lair that contained the visuals created by the toymaker staff.
"There was this locked bunker that you had to be escorted into," Stevenson said. "It was filled with art, some generated by the Mattel artists, and I looked around, and said, 'I get it.' We started formulating a specific vision for costumes, creatures, architecture, and the creation of a mythology and look for a whole world we'll create."
Waldo said that Stevenson's vision to elevate the material matched with Mattel's desire to see He-Man become a big studio film. Mattel has also brought its "Hot Wheels" film to WB and Silver.
"John had such passion that we found ourselves trying to running to catch up with his vision," Waldo said.
Stevenson has also worked on "Shrek" and "Shrek 2," "Madagascar," and "James and the Giant Peach," and began his career working for Jim Henson on projects that included "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth."
So the question will be: who will be the sexy Prince Adam/He-Man?

My Favorite Christmas Specials
Seriously, I realized there are no real Christmas specials anymore. I mean there's the annual TV parade and Broadway stuff, but what about the specials. BBC have Christmas specials, however I think we are too cool for them in the Americas. Yet, I remember the days I would curl up on the couch and watch my Christmas specials.
Here are a few of my faves over the years.
Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas-I loved this show just because it was about family and making the best with what you had. And it was the Muppets, how could you not love the Muppets!
Donny and Marie Christmas Special-I know, I know Mormons are not the "it" thing right now, but when I was 4 or 5, I loved Donny and Marie. They were the wonder twins even though they wasn't twins. However it was a great special and I've watched it every other year.
He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special-Cheesy but cute...a couple of earth kids go to He-Man's homeland and bring Christmas to another world.
A Charlie Brown Christmas-the dance scene, all I can say is the dance scene
Great memories

No GRAYSKULL for us

Well I was hoping to see He-man and his short shorts on the screen, but that won't happen.
Why?
Warners! They are always doing something, right?
According to my favorite site, Latino Review, WB wasn't big about the idea and there were other reasons as well.
The studio gave the execs at Silver Pictures a very small list of A-director names they would consider making the film with, amongst them Doug Liman and Bryan Singer who both passed.
There were some up and coming directors that were gung ho on the script, but the studio wasn’t feeling them. Another reason and perhaps the biggest was that Navid McIIhargey, the exec who brought in He-Man to Silver Pictures, left the company last month to become a Senior VP at New Regency as reported last month in both trades. Sources tell me Navid and another exec (who also left Silver) – guys in their thirties who grew up on the property - were the unsung heroes of He-Man and are no longer there doing the day to day to get He-Man over the mountain and get the movie made.
In the Hollywood business culture, once an exec leaves, usually his projects are killed by the new incoming exec. Even heroes like He-Man need allies and Prince Adam no longer has any at the studio. Sad. Execs at toy company Mattel are so infuriated at Warners, that they want the property back to take it elsewhere. Mattel’s anger is understandable. No movie equals no toys to make.
I can't believe it, but then I can. Warners are so backwards about what works. Remember their push for the Justice League? And then their attempts to make all the other DC Heroes dark? Mess. Just a mess.
