We had plans to go to some friend's mountain home for the weekend, but chose to have just a Carlos-and-Bob Thanksgiving. it was so peaceful and so nice and just what we needed.
Tim and I tend to low-key the holidays. We invite special friends and family if they're near, but if that doesn't happen, we spend the time with just us. We do things together that we've been putting off, have music in the background, good wine at hand, the dogs lounging with us. It's a good way to celebrate.
