Beyonce is NOT Pregnant

I knew it, but many didn't.

Rumors were all over the place about Beyonce being pregnant. It started with the tired gossip blogs then, some decent gossip blogs and then E News.

However Jay-Z broke the news to Hot 97′s Program Director Ebro.

Well, I emailed Jay-Z , to congratulate him and then he hit me back and said ‘It’s not true.’ Like literally, it had to be Saturday afternoon, so it had been a whole 24 hours of it’s true.

‘It’s not true, the news is worse than blogs,’ so no baby yet. 

That’s what the email account said unless he’s been cat fishing me the whole time for the last five years.

Yahoo will pay $1.1 billion for Tumblr

Wow! Yahoo is going to buy Tumblr for $1.1 billion ass dollars! A BILLION dollars. I didn't know that Tumblr was that serious.

I guess this will give Yahoo the upper hand now. I still can't believe they paid that much!

Mark Carson's Killer Laughed and Bragged about the Murder in Greenwich Village

Mark Carson's killer was proud of what he did. Elliot Morales reportedly laughed about the murder.

From the NYP:

“Yeah, I shot him in the head,” sneered Elliot Morales, 33, while “laughing on the ground” when cops were handcuffing him for shooting Mark Carson, 32, early Saturday morning.

Elliot Morales is being held without bail on charges for second-degree murder with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. The incident is also charged as a hate crime.

Teen Arrested and Expelled because of a Same-Sex Relationship

This is one for the books.

In a Florida high school, Kaitlyn Hunt was not only expelled, but arrested for dating another student. The reason is because Kaitlyn is 18 and the student is 15. But the REAL reason is because it was a same-sex relationship.

Kaitlyn Hunt was arrested in February at the behest of her 15-year-old girlfriend’s parents and charged with two felony counts of lewd and lascivious battery of a child 12 to 16 years old. 

A judge ruled that Hunt could still go to her Sebastian, Fla., school if she did not have contact with the 15-year-old. Unhappy with that decision, the girlfriend’s parents also made an appeal to the school board, and Hunt was then expelled from Sebastian River High School just weeks before her graduation. 

Her mother, Kelley Hunt Smith, claims State Attorney Brian Workman offered her daughter a plea deal that she has until Friday to accept or face trial. The plea deal includes “two years house arrest and one year probation.” 

Her father, Steven R. Hunt, said the school disapproved of the relationship from the beginning. Hunt reportedly had good grades and participated in cheerleading, chorus and basketball. She was voted “most school spirited.” But when she began dating another girl from the basketball team, her coach dropped her citing that the relationship would cause “drama.” 

Hunt’s family started a petition on Change.org asking people to “Stop the prosecution of 18 year old girl in a same-sex relationship” and calling it a “cruel waste of our taxes.” The petition, addressed to the Indian River County State Attorney’s Office, has more than 28,500 signatures so far.

This issue is far from over. Support for Kaitlyn is growing. I can't believe the parents of the other girl would do this. They are really contending for Parents of the Year.

Mark Carson was the Gay Man who was Killed in Greenwich Village

Mark Carson was the man that was murdered by a homophobic gunman in Greenwich Village this weekend. Last night, folks held a vigil for home.

Here's more about Mark:

Mr. Carson, who was 32, had recently moved to Brooklyn from Harlem after scrimping and saving money from his job at a yogurt shop in Midtown, according to Kay Allen, a friend for more than a decade.
“He was a proud gay man,” Ms. Allen said. “A fabulous gay man.” She noted that he loved going to the Village.
“His spirit was too big for this city,” she said. “He didn’t have a negative bone in his body.”

Mark was killed because he was gay. I never thought that NYC, especially the Village would be considered a dangerous place. For many years, my friends and I would hang out in the Village. I never thought twice about my safety, in fact, I felt completely at ease there.

For the friends and family of Mark, my heart goes out to you.
