Question of the Day

How do you feel about Bill and Hillary Clinton attending trump’s inauguration? They are doing it out of a “sense of duty and respect for the American democratic process.”

Does it bother you or not?

I'm Not Ready For This

Megyn Kelly is Leaving Fox News for NBC

I knew it!

Miss Kelly is leaving Fox for better things? Maybe?

Word is she's leaving Fox for NBC! Why? Well, looking back at her troubles with Roger and trump, it makes sense. Plus, was offered a triple role in hosting her own daytime news, anchor an in-depth Sunday night news show and covering the network’s special political programming.

Here's more:
The new deal, which NBC is expected to announce imminently, brings to a close the most anticipated television news contract negotiations since Katie Couric signed with CBS News in 2006, for $15 million a year.

Fox News’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, which is controlled by the family of Rupert Murdoch, had offered Ms. Kelly more than $20 million a year to stay after her current contract expires this year. Rival networks seeking to hire Ms. Kelly away, including NBC News, had made it clear that they could not match that money from Fox, the cable news leader for the last 15 years running.

Ms. Kelly’s contract is not officially up until the summer, and it was unclear whether Fox News would refuse to release her from any contractual commitments that might delay her start at a rival.

UPDATED House GOP votes to Gut Independent Ethics Office

UPDATE

Following major outcry from the public, House Republicans reversed course changes to the independent Office of Congressional Ethics. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) offered a motion to restore the current OCE rules.

This is disgusting.

Yesterday, the House Republicans voted to gut the Office of Congressional Ethics. This office was created to investigate allegations of misconduct by lawmakers after several bribery and corruption scandals back in the 90s.

Without this office, lawmakers can do whatever... Almost.

Here's more:
The ethics change, which prompted an outcry from Democrats and government watchdog groups, is part of a rules package that the full House will vote on Tuesday. The package also includes a means for Republican leaders to punish lawmakers if there is a repeat of the Democratic sit-in last summer over gun control.

Under the ethics change pushed by Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., the non-partisan Office of Congressional Ethics would fall under the control of the House Ethics Committee, which is run by lawmakers. It would be known as the Office of Congressional Complaint Review, and the rule change would require that "any matter that may involve a violation of criminal law must be referred to the Committee on Ethics for potential referral to law enforcement agencies after an affirmative vote by the members," according to Goodlatte's office.

Lawmakers would have the final say under the change. House Republicans voted 119-74 for the Goodlatte measure despite arguments from Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., against the change. They failed to sway rank-and-file Republicans, some of whom have felt unfairly targeted by the OCE.
Mess!

The Rose Parade Honor and Remember Orlando Pulse Victims - WATCH

Look in the Sky! An Anti-Trump Message

Wow!

The other day in Pasadena, CA., this interesting message appeared in the sky.

Check it out

Here's more
It was not immediately clear who was behind the airborne protest, targeting Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, which coincided with the end of the New Year's Day event that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to Pasadena, north of Los Angeles.

A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. The billionaire businessman is seeking his party's nomination for the November presidential election.

Security on the ground for the parade had been tight, with some 700,000 spectators expected to throng the 5-1/2-mile (9-km) route of the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade, which is followed by the 102nd Rose Bowl college football game.

Trump spokesman thinks we should forget Russian Hacking and ‘Punish’ Clinton

Quick Recap of the Kim Burrell Drama

Over the weekend, gospel singer Kim Burrell said some stupid and hateful things about us. I'm not posting the video because it's totally ridic, however, she learned a valuable lesson about crossing us.

The gays took to social media and let Kim know that she truly f**ked up.

What's also f**ked up, is that she was supposed to appear on ELLEN to sing a song from the movie, HIDDEN FIGURES with Pharrell Williams. Once he heard about her foolishness, he quickly pulled the plug.

Then, the stars of HIDDEN FIGURES came out to denounce Kim's hate speech.

Janelle Monae took to Instagram to let her know a thing or two:
I shouldn’t even have to post this as you guys should already know where I stand but If you do not pls know I unequivocally repudiate ANY AND ALL hateful comments against the LGBTQ community. Actually I’m tired of that label. We all belong to the same community, a shared community called humanity. And today and tomorrow and the next day I will continue to stand with other like minded people who condemn any and all statements and actions that would seek to deny the basic humanity of our fellow brothers and sisters. We cannot sit Idly by nor will we speak silently when we are confronted with such violence against members of our community. I am personally beyond exhausted by the ignorance and bigotry living in some people. At times I want to punch and I want to slap a lot of people when I read and hear the shit that comes out their mouthes !!! I will rejoice when folks stop thinking they ARE GOD, Jesus’ assistant, picking and choosing what “sins” are acceptable in the Bible, and using the Bible as a whip! WE can’t afford anymore tearing down of our shared humanity. My advice: If your religion is causing you to spew out words of hate, judge, or look down on others because of who one loves then you need to change it. And fast. If the religion don’t make you are more loving or better person, ditch it. But what do I know. My hope is that we ALL go into this new year considering for one moment that we don’t have all the answers. My hope is that we become more understanding, less judgmental, more tolerate, and more patient with one another. Including me. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
