They All Float down there and maybe Marry there, too.

Maine... home of Carrie's blood soaked prom, a killer clown, and Dolores Claiborne is looking to change things in LGBT world.

Sen. Dennis Damon is a busy bee right now. He's trying to rewrite Maine's existing statute that defines marriage as between a man and a woman, and changing it to a union between two people. Some people love it and some don't think it's the right time. However, Damon begs to differ.

"Currently there is discrimination. Heterosexual couples who have decided to spend their lives together are treated differently than same-sex couples who have ... that same commitment to each other," Damon said. "I don't see the fairness of that. I don't see the need for that, and this bill will put an end to that."

Maine currently has a domestic partnership registry that's open to gay couples. But that's not enough for gay marriage supporters. Damon says it's time to "fully end discrimination in Maine."

Well you go, Damon! But there will be haters like House Minority Leader John Tardy and The Maine Family Policy Council. So I wish Maine all the luck to accomplish this goal.
