HBO, home my favorite show True Blood, will air a different version of Sunday’s inaugural-related concert today at 11:30 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time.
This new version will include the invocation by the Rev. V. Gene Robinson.
HBO peeps said:
“We had always intended and planned for Rt. Rev Robinson’s invocation to be included in the televised portion of yesterday’s program. We regret the error in executing this plan – but are gratified that hundreds of thousands of people who gathered on the mall heart his eloquent prayer for our nation that was a fitting start to our event.”
I think it's a good start to address this issue quickly. The gay conspiracy theories were riding my nerves. I read things like, 'this is a spit in the face of Gay people' and 'how Obama caused this to happen', and Rachel Maddow got involved. People please, chill out. Have some frakking faith.
