Please keep your day jobs

This is the next wave of Hollywood stars, according to Vanity Fair. Which is very interesting since they have such a great track record naming the future stars (Lindsay L. and Rachel Evan Wood).

Anyway, they have a huge list of 20 young stars, which includes 2 measly young folks of color (no surprise there). One is Zoe Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny and the Goddess known as Lisa Bonet, and Rob Brown.

But what gets me is the cast of Gossip Girl, really, this cast? Please, there will be no stars from this show. Remember the OC, no? Well, I don't either and they had 5 years under their belts. Basically from this article, VF told me that falling TV shows stars with cute faces, waify girls and men-boys are the future of Hollywood. And no kids of color have a chance. Hmm, I guess the future is doomed.

However, VF was right about one of the Young Hollywood kids, Raven-Symone. She's worth $400 million which is more than this year's entire list combined.

So VF, picking Hollywood's future isn't your cup of tea, now predicting future train wrecks and career meltdowns could be your forte.

Hollywood has always been trying to pawn off men-boys and stick-thin girls as the Next Big Things and they will prove to be as forgettable as almost anyone who made the cover of Tiger Beat.

Also, Raven-Symone has managed to please the same audience for her entire career, which is virtually unheard of since most artists "grow" by selling out to whichever demographic could pay the most money.

Good for her, as long as she behaves, or hides it well.
