Molly Ringwald is the Boss of Chuck Bass

Any bad news for Gossip Girl is good news for me. The proof needed to end the show is coming quite fast.

Molly Ringwald's series Secret Life of the American Teenager is kicking GG's ass in ratings. The season premiere had 4.4 million total viewers. In fact that's 47% more than CW's hot mess.

What makes this show interesting is it's realness. Teenage pregnancy is a harsh reality. The way the show tackles the issue is pretty good and acts as a "what if" for teens. GG is just pure mess with no substance. Its shelf life is up, clearly. When you have a teen pregnancy show and a bunch of reruns trumping you in ratings, maybe that's a sign, CW.

Drop the show!

I think I can like him

Josh Schwartz, who created the teen-aged Dynasty (Gossip Girl) hates the ads for the show. I'm very happy he feels that way, considering the tastelessness of the content. The ads have not helped the show or excite peeps to watch, and he fears for the worst.

“Those are actual quotes,” he said at a party marking the show’s second season, in Sag Harbor. “The network came up with that, and I just stand back. I don’t want anything to do with it.” After all, he knows the show is racy, but the ads reduce it to mere provocation. “It’s like, What am I doing? It’s bad. It feels bad. It’s wrong. When you drive by a poster for your show and it says, ‘Every parent’s nightmare,’ you have mixed feelings.”

Well, Josh my feelings aren't mixed, they are the same. Hate it. But I like Chuck, though.

Why I love America Ferrera

She's a great actress and person. I instantly fell in love with her in Real Women Have Curves and been a fan ever since. But she has my full allegiance after this joint interview with the real life Skipper doll, Blake Lively.

Love you, America, love you!

Chace, are you Serious?

Human blow-up doll, Chace Crawford wants more money for his "stunning" acting in Gossip Girl. He's even thinking of jumping to a better agency to do it. But really, this is silly.

Reasons
  1. He just won a Teen Choice Award and that's not a Emmy, Golden Globe, or Oscar. A Teen Choice Award doesn't carry the weight of cheese curls.
  2. The show is slipping, it was barley watched last year and it banks on cheap ads to get attention.
  3. CW network is not a top network. Who's going to pay an actor more money, if the network itself is struggling to stay alive.
  4. Chace is only a face, and a face doesn't carry a show. Maybe porn, but not a primetime show. And with porn you got to have skills.
  5. And the show is about to be cancelled, this is their final year.
So Chace, if you can get on Weeds, Dexter, The Brotherhood, CSI, or something with more substance, you ain't getting a pay increase...unless you go on LOGO or Chi Chi LaRue.

Please keep your day jobs

This is the next wave of Hollywood stars, according to Vanity Fair. Which is very interesting since they have such a great track record naming the future stars (Lindsay L. and Rachel Evan Wood).

Anyway, they have a huge list of 20 young stars, which includes 2 measly young folks of color (no surprise there). One is Zoe Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny and the Goddess known as Lisa Bonet, and Rob Brown.

But what gets me is the cast of Gossip Girl, really, this cast? Please, there will be no stars from this show. Remember the OC, no? Well, I don't either and they had 5 years under their belts. Basically from this article, VF told me that falling TV shows stars with cute faces, waify girls and men-boys are the future of Hollywood. And no kids of color have a chance. Hmm, I guess the future is doomed.

However, VF was right about one of the Young Hollywood kids, Raven-Symone. She's worth $400 million which is more than this year's entire list combined.

So VF, picking Hollywood's future isn't your cup of tea, now predicting future train wrecks and career meltdowns could be your forte.

Justice

Well, well, well according to New York Magazine, no one ...well, let me tell the story first. Earlier last week, TV's anal leakage known as Gossip Girl, announced they were going to the Hamptons to film some of their crappy shows. In fact, they were looking teens or young folks to be in the show.

Well, by the grace of Greyskull, no one showed up. No One! I guess the stiffs didn't want to be on a show about fake stiffs. It's like airing dirty laundry of second hand clothes.

TV for the college kids

Recently BET has been playing A Different World daily, and I for one is truly happy about it. That show was my live action blueprint for college life. Every Thursday, my friends and I would plop down on the couch and watch this great series.

Now, I as look at the old shows, I realized a few things. There's not many shows about college or about black students. There are so few sitcoms and Debbie Allen should direct more TV.

Seriously, there's not a lot of shows focusing on the college years or early 20 year olds. You can say Real World and College Hill does, and I would say "poppycock". Those shows reminds us of the times we might not want to remember.

But what about the shows like A Different World? Are they even relevant these days? I like to think they are. As a teenager, I found myself learning a lot about how to be responsible, goal driven, and complexed watching Denise, Dwayne Wayne, and Whitley. I also had a good idea about college, what I should be doing, and what I shouldn't do (but I did it anyway).

It was also nice to see people of color on a regular basis discussing things like careers, classes, the future, relationships, and major issues like drugs and AIDS. Now these same age people are talking about who's the daddy, how many times you cheated on me, Apple-jeans, baby mamas and list keeps going. Today's youth are influenced by Rock of Love, Flavor of Love, Gossip Girl, The Real World, and Tila Tequlia. Where's the balance? Sure, the TV shouldn't be the teacher or parent, but it still can educate and motivate. I just wish there was more educated, but fun TV shows. I don't need every show to be sexy or thrilling. Just witty and cute, with a bit color every now and then.

Let's create a campaign to destroy Gossip Girl, it's time has passed.

By the Goddess! Gossip Girl is trying to be a New Mutant!!

This is odd, I mean after the success of Iron Man, they want to do this to us?

Check it out

Black Book Magazine
reportedly spoke with Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz, who says he's developing a prequel, but it isn't one like Origins. (What's with the desire for all these X-Men prequels!?) Schwartz says: "I'm very well aware that I'll be bludgeoned by purists, but I love its mythology, and it comes with a pretty hefty paycheck." His idea for this whole affair is to follow a teen who attends the Xavier Institute. He says he won't be adding any new characters, so the question becomes: Which lucky X-Men character will Schwartz focus on? The writer goes on to diss The Incredible Hulk, saying that it "looks like it's going to be terrible. And why does he look like he's fighting against the monster from Cloverfield?" So, if he can pull this off to his tastes, it should be, at the very least, better than Hulk. Even after the disappointment of the latest X-Men movie, I'd love to see another movie pop up with more than just Wolverine or Magneto. Unlike most action or geek fare movies, where I fall for the movie as a whole, I really dig a lot of the characters in X-Men and the way the actors portray them. I've spoken before about how much Hugh Jackman rocks as Wolverine, but there's also Magneto, Professor X, Mystique, and my other big favorite -- Anna Paquin's Rogue. But this will be something entirely different, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a whole different set of actors. So, does this sound good to you, and which character should Schwartz be focusing on?

This man can't be trusted, he writes for Gossip Girl!!! I can't go through another mess of a movie, like X-Men 3 again. I hope it will not be a sex-filled, overly fashion, mutant high. Oh Goddess, this is scary. I know I am jumping to conclusions but his street cred isn't any better than Ratner the Hutt and I thought Zak Penn was doing this movie or movies anyway. If Schwartz is on the X-Men project, please don't let him screw this up. I can't help but to think that we are heading into the Batman & Robin phase. Please Josh don't mess this up!!

However, Chuck isn't bad, there could be some hope. But I don't know...

Oh, the humanity!
